The passport seva kendra is well maintained. I liked the atmosphere in there and also staffs are very friendly

This place is very crowded even if appointments are given. It's taking too much time to complete the formalities. Even small kids are not given priority. Pathetic service.

Recently visited, very well maintained office. Fast & efficient service provided.

Admission: Please go in, don't wait outside. There are seats at the security room. He will call by reporting time about 5-10 minutes in advance. Cool guy who will answer all your questions with patience. No restriction of personal articles.

Documents: First room has 5 counters. Security will tell which counter to use. They check the documents against application. For renewal of currently valid passport without any change, only documents needed are the current passport and one copy. No non-ECR documents or Aadhaar needed. Super print clarity of the copy is not required. The pages are the first pair of pages with emblem, second pair of pages with name and passport number and final pair of pages with address. For fresh passport, ID with initials expanded will be needed.

Counters in other rooms: A for photograph and finger printing, B for verification of data and C where government passport officers approve your application and cancel the existing passport. Whole process can be finished in 20 minutes. Every room has monitors displaying token numbers.

Finally all your documents will be returned to you. In case of post police verification, passport will be issued before verification.

Main road side. But no parking. Or pay and park. Every scam to have cash.
Service is very sad. The time given is 11: 15. It's 2: 45pm. Stay here forever. Can this be over?

Parking is so empathetic. They are asking for cash payment for just parking in front. You don't have enough space too.

Though it looks a small office from outside it is actually big from inside. The place is clean and tidy and it is fully air conditioned you wouldn't feel tired even after waiting for hours. The staff is well behaved and is ready to answer all your queries. To get appointments in the same slot ensure to send your application at the same time.

Good ambience. Friendly, helping and motivated staff. Well managed. A model for how a government office should perform. My police verification was completed on same day and passport printed the next day (I am an ordinary citizen).

Only point while we visited - ventilation/AC was not working, so it was horrible inside the center.

The worst experience had at karingachira office. The initial process went fine. After that went to the B section where there was a Hindi speaking guy who can't even verify the address proof which is in Malayalam and direct to another section without intimating anything. A suggestion, to atleast place officers who can communicate well.

TCS is doing a great job here in managing the Kendra. But I have a complaint. After security check, we are entering in a small hall with 5 counters which is not enough to handle the rush. Pls increase the counters also provides some more chairs.

Excellent service. Adhered to scheduled timing well. Staff were pleasant and courteous and guided applicants with patience. Carried out the whole process of renewal of passport within 90 minutes. All staff including the front door security guard were customer friendly and were motivated. This is something we don't see often in government offices.

Few notes of suggestions for visitors,
Try to use public transport or a taxi as parking space is limited to about 20 cars.

Photocopying services available near the counter. Keep some change for those services.

Keep photocopies of passport to be renewed and those of the parents in case minor's passport is to be renewed.
Pages required are the emblem page, front page and the address page.

Keep copies of aadhar card as well. All copies must be self attested.

Very happy with the prompt delivery of passport. Submitted application for reissue of passport on Monday and received the passport on Thursday. Staff, right from Security guide to passport officers were friendly and quick. No need to take passport photos beforehand. Photocopier facility is available in the premises.

Not at all a good experience. The list of problems starts from the parking. Then security, he feel himself an army person. Then counters handle by outsourcing staff with limited knowledge. Even if you have all documents and Xerox copies they ask something else or wait for sometime.
Officeers are little friendly but ultimately they make you feel they are also Govt employees land east bothered to understand your position.

Well managed. The first level of staff checked documents and quickly alloted token. The next one was also quick - photo/fingerprints. Quick to point out a potential issue in a doc and to keep a copy ready. Saved time. The B1 counter was also fairly quick. C counter waiting was there. All in all it was a smooth process

They are under staffed at c and b counters, and at at times they only process priority applications! Pathetic service!

It's said as an all women PSK, but some government employees while I visited were young men, think due to staff shortage. They were very helpful and professional nonetheless.

Such pathetic service. The staff thinks as we are there slaves and could never find a smiling face inside the office. They are very rude to people who came and never wants to listen to people.
They treat people in a very bad manner and should be changed.
Parking is also a big headache, have to give 40 rupees and park in such congested slots where if other vehicle open the door it would hit the other car.

Vary bad experience, went in @ 12: 45 to submit my daughters passport renewal, came out at 16: 15. Token system but only God knows what pattern they call. Staff behavior is good. Parking worst.

The worst experience.
I had to renew my passport and i submitted my10th certificate issued by CBSE.
Those people dont even know which is original. Since it was issued in 2013, it looked bit dull. The photocopy looked entirely diff. They still called it duplicate. Kindly keep well educated and people with some sense there

Needs improvement in parking and waiting area

The staff is super arrogant and rude. Even the lady who’s in charge of the office Is same. They need us to take prints from their photostat machine for business. So they demand for documents that are not needed officially/not mentioned in the passport India website!

Service was very fast overall. But behavior from lady staff specially at the A counter, is not much gud. Their way of talking is harsh.

Appointment on 28th received passport on 30th. It was not Tatkal. I wish all government departments emulate their example. I found the security staff most efficient. Polite firm calm good crowd control. Carry original documents and old passport along with self attested Xerox copies. Carry some change for Xerox in case. Staff is positive. They try not to send you back.
Air-conditioning not effective. Xerox machine inside not working. Coffee/tea vending machine nearby desirable.

Most of the staffs were very helpful except for the security guard. He was really rude towards most of the visitors and he was very reluctant to help anyone when a help was asked. The place and the service very quite efficient

TCS have converted the passport Kendra to a professional office with timely manner. Good employees and spacious office

Passport seva Kendra, Tripunithura, is doing all business with passport application, renewal, PCC for abroad studies etc.it's located at Karingachira junction, of seaport airport road and running by TCS.there service is very good with clearing of all official formalities without any delay as everything is online.

Located optimally in a well connected location, but with barely enough parking spots. You may struggle to find a spot in peaks hours. The staff is well trained and super efficient in general but be prepared to wait around 1.5hrs. No special treatment for tatkaal applicants, I think. But senior citizens do have a different queue. I was asked for additional ID proofs and printouts which was not mentioned in the website. Make sure you carry atleast 2 different ID cards and Xth pass certificate (ECNR).
Other amenities, like water and washrooms are adequate.

Bonus marks for an (almost) all female staff, who are super efficient, well communicating and professional.

I had a wonderful experience at the Passport Seva Kendra in Tripunithura. The guard let me in only at the reporting time, and I was fast-tracked because I brought along a printout of my appointment slip, while most of the others only had SMS notifications on their phones.

It was smooth moving from A to B to C. The entire process got over in 30 minutes. It is important to note that the spelling of your name on your passport will be only according to the ID proof submitted. The same holds true for your address – it too will be only according to the address proof submitted.

You are photographed on the spot and they ask you to remove your glasses so that the glare from the lenses is avoided. So if you normally wear glasses, it would be a good idea to bring along an empty dark-coloured frame without lenses for the photograph.

Make sure you bring a pen – your signature is scanned and will be printed on your passport.

Apart from the delay in initial verification, the overall speed in processing my application was impressive.

Well located near roadside and easy access. Very neat and tidy place. Well trained staff to help you with all your questions. The process was quite easy and we got messages on time from authorities for follow up.

Fast & Very Good Behaviour From Staffs. They Manage A Great Crowd Of People Here. Parking Needs To Be Improved. Token Giving Is More Better Than Other Government Organization. They Don't Allow Any Kind Of photography There So I can capture more important snaps.

Not as efficient as the one you found in 2010, but still outperforming other government organisations by a mile. Parking spaces are limited so come early if you need to grab one, photostat shops are two but the crowd is there so be planned to take your copies beforehand.

Employees are very efficient and young making our job easy. Kudos to the officers for tha good job.

If your id proofs are fine, you will be fine. Otherwise, get ready for running back and forth.
Things to remember
1. If you are registering online, make sure your address proof is exactly how you want the address in your passport to be. In case of change in landmarks provided in address, make sure you have some id that provea this.
2.once you register, choose date of appointment.ensure that you received an sms from TCSPSK specifying the slot as well.otherwise do contact PSK office/customer care. Reach on time as specified, usually 15 mins bedore actual appointment.
3.read the appointment document, that you will be able to view in psk portal.it clearly details the id proof required in various scenarios.usually aadhar, drivers license and old passport (for renewal or change) is sufficient.carry originals of all id proofs and one clear photocopy (self attested) of each.
4.photograph is not required for adults as the photograph is taken live at one of the counters.

There are 4 counters that you will go through post the security check. All are basicakly doing the sqme thing. Additionally, counter 1 generates token number, that is used to summon you to subsequent counters. Similarly, 2nd counter takes your photograph, 3rd I am unsure the role here and the last stamps your old passport as invalid.
Finally, at the exit a security officer provides a feedback form. Acknowldegement will be emailed.

They donot let anyone other than the applicant in, except in case of minors, senior citizens or illiterates.

There are 2 photostat shops adjascent to this office. There are also washrooms inside the office. But only applicants or bystanders are allowed. There is also a waiting room inside.

All in all, it was an okay experience. My actual appointment was at 1pm, but I got my token only after 1: 47pm. It took another 45mins for getting all signed off.

Very bad experience on a passport renewal. They made us wait for 3 hours and then took 50 rupees as service charge, while the same was used for enabling the SMS updates that we've never requested.

For 5yrs old boys passport they took forever because they didn't have proper update. Information asked in website and conveyed on the center is different. Ignorance on what they dont know. I had to wait almost four hours to know that my documents are not compatible. My husband is abroad and on the website it said Annexure needs to be signed by him. They questioned me how did I get his original signature if he s abroad. Isn't it clear that he couriered it, I rolled my eyes. With a small kid during corona omicron they made me wait forever to check if they can do on thathkal Or not because manager was having lunch. Finally they said sorry only normal application. Totally disappointed. There were no baby feeding room for mothers who wanted to feed there little ones

Information asked in website and conveyed on the center is different. Ignorance on what they dont know. I had to wait almost four hours to know that my document is not campatible which should have told me in the begining itself so that i could have made proper update. Total wate of time even the lady gurad sitting on the exit for the feedback is rood. It bought back that old sarkari feel

Very good service. All the staffs are very efficient, cooperative and helpful. I have been there for the renewal of passport. It took almost 2 hours to complete all the formalities. Satisfied with their service. One issue is in varification counter que applicants are standing without maintaining social distance.

I had applied for fresh passport.the process was to fast and easy.reached there on reporting time, there was no waiting in 15 minutes the procedures was over.it was my best experience in a gov office/service.covid protocol was strictly follow. Make sure to bring original documents and there photocopy believe me it will save your time.

Excellent service. Applied for passport under tatkal scheme. Entire process was over in an hour, including correction of a spelling mistake. Make sure you have self attested copies of required documents with you. Got passport the very next day.

Poor facilities for waiting customers outside psk.customers with appointment also need to wait in queue inspite of sms appointment on schedule due to security not allowing.senior citizens who are having health related issues needs to be considered and allowed in time as per their allotted time than rather making them wait outside without any facilities available.

Opted for Tatkaal for reissue of PP nearing expiry. Superb service. Entire process was over in less than a hour. New Passport received within 24 hrs by speed post.

Don’t have a contact number, even its website, though made by government, doesn’t have a number to contact them.

No need of any application, just bring copies of address proof and old passport. Minors it's better for both parents for Tatkal. Otherwise one parent is fine. Bring appointment print. Process was fast.

Excellent timely fast service. Neat and clean. Make sure that you have all the photocopies of ID proofs including passport if renewal and other docs for a fast processing. It just took 10 minutes altogether for me. All staffs including govt. Officials are very keen to help.

A place where the officials on duty are so cooperative and sincere in there work. They have answers to all our queries and does a wonderful job.

The Tata software is faulty and the staff are not efficient. In the same passport one can see 3 names for the same place.ie Cochin, Kochi, Ernakulam City.

This is my third time here, First for my wife, then for renewal for myself & now for my three daughters. There seems to be little lack of maintenance.the false ceiling in some places looks untidy and has come out in the reception area. We are giving lots of money for processing our passports, they need more maintenance. The worn out things have to be replaced.

Scam by Tata Comsultancy. They trick applicnts into buying costly useless pp covers for hundreds of rs each!

The service is efficient and good. But the TCS employees sitting in A counter, compel applicants, especially women and old aged applicants to pay Rs. 50 for SMS service, which is a total waste. My wife was forced to pay Rs. 50 for PCC and received an SMS which states, "your file is opened". After 5 minutes, the PCC was issued from C counter. In this case, why did they charge the fees for SMS service. What was the use of that SMS.
I think it's with the support of passport authorities.

The services rendered by this center regarding renewal of passport were excellent. But I have a serious complaint regarding the way in which the staff of this center is duping the customer to purchase a cover for the passport. The way it was presented was as if it is the actual cover of the book. The customer is more or less forced to get one, as if an inevitable piece and only choice is the color and material. The person in charge of the desk knows very well that a person approaching him to get his PP renewed has no use of the said cover as the old and new passport ones are to be clipped together, especially an the Visa of a country is stamped in the existing PP. Even otherwise, it is learnt that the cover has to be removed before presenting for verification etc. So this practice is highly deplorable and objectionable. I had to purchase two of them, one for me and the other for my wife.

Some staff tried to deny use of Aadhar as proof of date of birth for those over age 50 for non-ECR status. Corrupt or stupid?

Confused bunch of workers who contradict themselves and info given on government of India passport website. For an extension of a valid passport (within expiry) they ask for all originals which the government already has. Even within the PSV different people were giving different directions

Best service. Fast processing. Nice behavior to the people by staff. Parking space available for the facility and it's free.

Located near karingachira St. George church the passport seva Kendra offers all services with respect to the passport and other ancillary services. Proximity to seaport airport road makes it easily accessible. Working hours are from 9am to 5pm in the evening. It's near petrol pump in the junction itself.

Very stream lined process. Like they do in the west. Easier than it was in San Fransisco. But they make you be buy extra stuff and you have to refuse strongly.

Their service was phenomenally good. They took very less time. Also the ambience was very clean. Officials were very polite and helpful.
The process was very simple. In steps, we can say A>B>C-exit. First I had to collect a token then counter A to the counter B to the counter C then finaly exit
Best passport office experience

Very bad service. At C counter sr.checker asked me for metric certificate as i m a central govt. Employee. I am serving in defence and i m proud of it. He asked me to bring to bring me metric certificate in original. How i can join defence as i am not metric pass? I confiremed from passport customer care about same before visiting passport office and they told me no need of any metric pass certificate for Govt employee as we are already in Non ECR category. Wuy he is asking for this if no need i dont know. Very bad service. It should not be happen.

Pleasantly surprised with the ease and speed of service. Completed all procedures within 10 mins. The staff were warm and helping. 5 stars for all the staff there.

I was very much disappointed by the service. I had a spelling change to be made in my passport. Though it was their typo error, they asked me to follow the rules and get proofs for the same. However, while I was enquiring about rescheduling my appointment and payments if any required, one employee asked another employee to throw me out as I didn't have proofs with me at that time. She literally asked the other one to throw me out. Honestly, I didnt know about that procedure as the mistake wasn't mine. Expected a little more courtesy from the service personnel there.

Pros: Very efficient and fast process.everything is organized and ordered perfectly.i went to renew passport, passport has been printed and sent via post on same day and I got it on next day at the house.

Cons: TCS employees sitting there is very interested in selling thier passport cover even if we say we don't need.they quickly finish their paperwork and all their effort is on selling the cover.its a shame for tcs.

Even though passport got quickly, the police verification took around two weeks.police came to the house after 4 days and the report has been submitted clear after around 1 week.
