Passport Seva Kendra Aluva Kochi

Overall Good experience. I had gone for my infants passport.it was crowded but it was still ok. There was a baby care room. Paid Parking was available on the opposite side

Not enough parking, no security staff to manage crowd, huge delay comparing to other PSKs. Staffs trying to make things easy, place is not ideal for such an office, could be better with more facilities outside office, once you are in rest everything is professional

The process was super fast, staff was very helpful and friendly.
I got my passport delivered to my home in 20 hrs from the time I appeared at PSK

Almost crowded all time. No parking space at all. Staff try their best to manage. Security staff behaviour is good, reception counter staff both A B, C counter staff also well behaved, helpful. But the staff on floor (who are allocated to clarify doubts) is very badly behaving to others. Not at all helpful too, showing their attitude to the customers, not only to me, I noticed all the people who were sitting there is badly treated, instead of clarifying doubts, giving orders very rudely without listening the customers.

Almost crowded all the time. TCS employees managing their best to handle the crowd and reduce the processing time. Insufficient parking for 4 Wheeler, only a max of 4 to 5 cars can be parked. Avoid parking on the sides of main road, frequently fined by traffic police. Lane adjacent to Casino theatre has some parking available.

The process of obtaining passport has been streamlined by MoEA making it user friendly and faster. One can track status of passport issuance realtime thru sms/ website. However, the same needs proper infrastructure and manpower resources to meet growing demand from people. Recommend following to further sort out issues faced on ground: -
(a) Set up more PSKs to reduce the crowd especially with COVID protocols in place.
(b) Adequate parking space and water kiosks

For passport, one should visit there.and try to come there by taxi or 2 wheeler.tight parking, even over the road side.

Parking facility is poor.insist to take photocopy of your documents and after verification says not required.wasting paper and adding more to environmental issues.

Visited recently for renewal of passport before it's expiry. Bit disappointing for me. They have the same process as that of a new passport issue which consumed near 3 hours for the completing all the procedures. Actually for the renewal before expiry, i felt they just needed a separate process to just update the photo and close the file. Atleast indicate average time consumed for completing the process when we book the slots. I had much better experience 10 years before.

The place is very good and staff members are also very cooperative and helpful but the parking facilities are very poor. The office is also well maintained and neat and clean.

This place is such a mess.
No parking place for customers.
No place to sit for any customers and their bystanders.
Everyone is paying 1500 Rs for passport and they are asking customers to pay for a small cover for the safety of the passport (issued by them), for the same we have to pay 400Rs.
Officials.are careless n should understand that there are small children to aged people visitng the facility fo their need, minimum standards for waiting area, parking, a toilet is mandatory!

For passoport expired for more than 3 yrs, the formality is different.
As a Keralite you mosytly need your Aadhaar as proof of so many things.
To show that you are not in a laborer category, you need to provide your
metriculation pass certificate.
When you appear for renewal you need to carry
1. Adhaar or similar ID
2. Any secondary Photo ID, possibly a pan card will do.
3. Metriculation pass certificate.

All these documents should have their photocopy as well as original.
They do have an in house photocopy facility (carry enough change for that), but better to carry one to save time.
Tatkal applications do have some priority on every process. But you need to carry
the tatkal fee in cash (Rs. 2000) which they will collect only once you are there and sometimes their
swiping machine won't be functional.
In such cases there is a 'India 1' ATM counter diagonaly opposite to the passport seva kendra.

Another issue i found is that there is parking for about 4 to 5 cars and you may park on the drainag
slab as well as partially in the road, but that needs some driving skills as well as chance of a
penality.

If you take kids with you, it is suggested to carry any non sticky snacks and juice in tetra pack like
Tropicana, Frooty etc.since sometimes it might get delayed when there is a software lag or other technical
glitches. Usually if it is s renewal, it needs an an hour or an hour and a half at the most.

Also kindly note that as of my info the Photograph for the passport is being taken while processing it and be
prepared/dressed accordingly.

Visited Passport Seva Kendra Aluva on 11 April 2022. This place can be very overcrowded. Very limited number of parking (4 or5 cars), that too can be easily filled up by bikes. Not sure if its because of the pandemic, the crowd is increased very much there now. Maybe the office was closed partially before and now working full time to accomodate earlier applications. I had to wait 3 30 hours to complete the whole process. There are seats inside. But compared to the people inside, its useless. Be ready with water and snacks if you have kids with you. It will difficult to manage kids with the heavy crowds and no seats. The officers and people working there are very well mannered. Thats the only plus.

Parking is an issue here. Providing time slots make easy for your turn. Even if with limited infrastucture, it works well.

Huge disappointment - space for car parking is not present. No water filters within the PSK. Compared to the other PSK in Kochi, process and staff are also not competent - resulting in huge delay. Especially the delays caused by the staff in A-counter in correctly uploading the documents resulting in back-and-forth visits to A and B counters. Interior space is also limited and hence waiting area is also not big. Better to avoid and use the other PSK in Kochi.

Very professional and patient staff. Systematic hassle free verification process. Follows covid protocol. 5 Stars! It is close down now from 5/5/21 for about 2weeks now

We went there with our two little toddlers with so much apprehension, expecting a doomsday, but to our surprise it was a very pleasant experience. They sort out documents at the initial enquiry counter and prep you pretty well, then you are called (tocken no.on screen+ a staff making sure) systematically, going through each counters A->B->C. At each counter we were treated professionally and patiently. I mean with 2 naughty toddlers. My wife's passport was put on hold, i respect the way they explained whats needed to be done. Al this following COVID-19 protocol!

Faster processing.don't buy the passport cover and all.even sms service is useless.so avoid these money taking traps.

Be at the right time. Only 15-20 minutes process.
Note: Orginal documents with their copy is needed.
Normal person: 10th certificate, Aadhaar, License (they asked as 3rd identification)
Nothing else.
Timing message should be shown to the security and also for Verification. (In Phone).
Lot of photostat shops and cafe are available too nearby.

The required documents for a new passport as of today Feb 17th 2021 are a copy of adhaar card (both sides) and 10th Pass certificate and original of both and the online appointment receipt (documents like driving licence are also accepted). Please make sure the details on these documents are matching exactly same. Thank me later.

All counter staffs are friendly and patient.take everything needed and photo copies you can complete the process in less that 20 minutes

Good service. Try to reach there at the reporting time. You don't have to wait too long if you reach there at your respective reporting time otherwise it will be congested. And carry all the xerox of all the required documents so that you don't have to waste that time to take copies.

Friendly and courteous staff. If you are on time; you can get your things done on time. Our reporting time was 11.30. We were on time and completed all our formalities and were out by 12.30. If you are driving there, you may have hard time finding parking for your car. They have a photocopy centre right inside their premises which is really helpful if you forget to carry some photocopies.
