Pathiramanal Island Bird Sanctuary (Alappuzha) പാതിരാമണൽ ദീപ്‌ ആലപ്പുഴ

It's about 1.5 km of journey through water from Muhamma. Both ordinary and speed boats are available there. Speed boat costs 500 for 4 people. The cost of an ordinary boat depends on the number of people. We were around 40 people and they charge 80 for round trip per person.
Nothing special about the place. A small forest area where we can walk around and spend/waste time. Won't get anything inside the island not even water. There is an entry fee of 20. I don't know why it is called a bird sanctuary. I saw none. Toilets are there but without water.

The boat ride is really a great experience but it's 500 rs round trip. The island is pretty but there's nothing much to see in particular. Please carry water and there are no clean restrooms on the island. It's a good one time experience.

If you are visiting this place to view rare birds… then I don’t think it’s a place to visit. I have visited this place twice, first time around 11 AM, I have not seen any birds other than crow. I thought, it may be due to the timing. So next time I visited in the evening, but that time also I have not seen any birds other than the usual birds all over in kerala. But it’s nice to see a forest like island in the middle of the lake. Can have some nice photographs. Snake is there, so careful especially if you are with kids.

Not much to see here. Good place only if you like calm, trees and nature. When we went there were no birds. Only good part was boating to this place. Entry has ticket and coat 10rs

An island wich an hour boating away! Better to visit evening due to hot climate! Carry water or snacks as there is no shops available! Dint thriw plastic out there, be a responsible traveller

Worst place to go. The boat was charged at ₹200 per person for only 10 minutes ride. And the place they take you is not worth going.no birds can be seen. There are monitor lizards inside. Not safe to go. No place to sit in the park. Plastic spread everywhere by people.
People providing the boat service are very rude and unprofessional.

A very beautiful nature island in which there is no commercial activities so far hence the island seems well protected. Better avoid other construction too.

Best place to spend a day with family. Natural environment. One can see different birds. Only thing you will have to carry your food and there is no clean toilets with water. The bridge from the dock is very narrow, one with children should take extra care

It is best to visit evening.

Take enough food with you. Visit island with family to spend time. Boat charge will be in higher side.for pick and drop cost you 500

The 20 hector island in Alappuzha is inside vembanad lake. It's an ideal location for backwater lovers.vehicles are left at the shore and the travellers have to go on rafts and boats to the island. The island is thick and dense with trees and have a walkway for the travellers. It could be a whole new experience and an important pit stop for a travel holic

Very nice place for bird watchers and childrens, from morning 6 am boat service will start. Speed boat and normal boats are also available. Now a days a small shop start there under a kudumbasree club with the help of muhamma grama panchayat.

Good place to visit in the evng time, best sunset view. Best for relaxation and enjoyed very well

Its a small island situated in vembanad lake alapuzha! It is termed as pathiramanal bird sanctuary, but there are no birds there other than crows! But going to the island throught the boats and exploring it is fun! Island is full of trees and normally it look like a forest, the only thing missing is wildlife! The main attraction is it is very less crowded! The boat charge is little high, other than that it worth a visit if you are passing through this area

A small island on the Vembanad Lake. There is no human living there. Boating service available to the Island. Rs. 100 per head is charged to transport. Good place to visit. Natural bio diversity can be viewed in the island.

Took a boat ride to Pathiramanal to explore the rich biodiversity of the island. A muddy kuccha road is the only way into the dense forest, spotted quite a few migratory birds and butterflies. All you will hear are birds, crickets and dragonflies. Venturing deeper into the forest, for a brief moment it felt like I was on the Survivor series. As the sun was setting, I turned around quickly since I did not want to be marooned here alone.am no Bear Grylls.
