Probably the only museum in Kozhikode, situated on a beautiful hilltop. The building is the old British East Hill bungalow.

I couldn't believe that exactly 4.30 p.m they closed the door.but I was 20 metre away.they want to go their homes as early as possible.they didn't allow me to enter.this is the great work culture of government employees

Its a good place for history students and people who love our history.this place is face lifted.this place help to thing about our culture. This place help young to think about our history. I think this place is less employed place in calicut. The staff are very cooperative.

What an absolutely lovely experience!
Visited with friends and a couple of children aged 5 and 10. The place is lovely both inside and out. The museum has been done quite well, in terms of its design, interiors and engagement. Informative and enlightening, well maintained museum. Outside the museum building, there is a play area, a walking path, a butterfly park, several swings, chairs and good photo spots. All of us had a gala time. The place can entertain people of all ages.
Looking forward to visiting again.

Everyone should visit this place if you're staying/passing through Kozhikode. A great collection of historical artefacts and antiques right from stone age to the age of Tipu Sultan and the Kerala Maharajas.

A place to look back to our history. A place to realise how our ancestors were lived in our land.
This place is less explored musium in Calicut. History loving people will love this place. There is a good park and garden. We can walk through the garden listening to music. Parking space available. There is a ₹10 ticket to enter the musium.entry to the garden is free. Wheel chair accessible. Monday holiday. 3D show is not open for now (2022/08/06)

The museum is housed in a building, earlier known as the East Hill Bungalow, that dates back to 1812 and continues to be maintained and preserved in an excellent condition.
The museum has a rich collection of historical artifacts from 1000 BC to 200 AD; from the megalithic age and the Indus valley civilisation.
A must visit if in Calicut.

Nice quiet place. A visit here will be very beneficial for history students and also for people who love history. Everything is kept here very cleanly and with care.

Highly maintained musium with good historians, who are happy to give knowledge on various artifacts and overall history.

A visit to the Pazzassiraja archeological museum on East Hill is highly recommended for anyone interested in Malabar archeology and history. A variety of archeological exhibits are on display in the newly renovated museum in accordance with international standards. A number of exhibits date back to the British era, and even further back, including archeological finds from around Calicut dating back to the Iron Age. A few large burial urns (nannangadis) are also on display. The museum is housed in an old building from the British era that served as a court and jail. There is a well-landscaped garden, a butterfly park, and a small park for kids adjacent to the museum. Apparently there is a charge for camera usage - 60 rupees for still cameras, 15 rupees for mobile cameras. The VK Krishna Menon museum is also next to the Pazassiraja museum.

The museum has been renovated and has got a facelift. Artefacts are well kept and the building in which the museum is housed itself is pre-independence. The items held are mostly stone carvings from various parts of Kerala during the time it was under various Kings.

Along with the museum is an Art Gallery and Krushna Menon Museum. Due to renovation works going on the art gallery wasn't fully functional.

The park outside the museum is a real good place to spend the evening with children

എൻറെ ജില്ലയിൽ തന്നെ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു സ്ഥാപനം ആണ് പഴശ്ശിരാജ ആർക്കിയോളജിക്കൽ മ്യൂസിയവും, കലാ സാംസ്കാരിക അനുബന്ധസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും. വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ സന്ദർശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അത് എൻറെ കോളേജ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ കാലത്ത് ആയിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ അതിൻറെ ഓർമ്മകൾ ഒന്നും എൻറെ മനസ്സിൽ ഒട്ടും തങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്നില്ല.

എന്നാൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം യാദൃശ്ചികമായി വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് ഈ സ്ഥാപനം വീണ്ടും സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ ഇട വരികയുണ്ടായി.

ഇന്ന് അതിൻറെ ജീവൻ തുടിക്കുന്ന ക്യാമ്പസും അനുബന്ധമായ ബട്ടർഫ്ലൈ പാർക്കും അതിൻറെ സ്വാഭാവികതയിൽ ഉണ്നിലനിർത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് മനോഹരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. മുൻ കാലങ്ങളിൽ അഴുകി ദ്രവിച്ച കിടന്നിരുന്ന സാംസ്കാരിക വകുപ്പിൻറെ മാറ്റത്തിൻറെ ശംഖൊലി ആയിട്ടാണ് ഞാനിതിനെ കാണുന്നത്. സാധാരണ ഇത്തരം സർക്കാർ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ ഒട്ടും ജനോപകാരപ്രദവും ഉപഭോക്തൃ സൗഹൃദവും ആയിട്ടല്ല കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളത്. എന്നാൽ അതിൽ നിന്നെല്ലാം തികച്ചും വിഭിന്നമായി നവോത്ഥാന കേരളത്തിൻറെ മികച്ച മാതൃകയാണ് ഈ സ്ഥാപനം എൻറെ മനസ്സിൽ ഇടം നേടിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഈ മാറ്റത്തിന് പിന്നിൽ ഒരുപാട് പേരുടെ അധ്വാനം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്ന് അറിയാം, ഇതിനുപിന്നിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച സർക്കാർ പൊതുജന സേവകരെ പ്രത്യേകം അഭിനന്ദിക്കേണ്ടത്.

ഇനിയും മാറ്റങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ സാധിക്കട്ടെ എന്ന് ആശംസിക്കുന്നു.

Loved the ambience here! A very calm peaceful place. A haven for all those who wanna spend some quality time in this summer. VK Krishna Menon art gallery is open now, the main museum is temporarily closed. ₹10 for adult tickets for museum entry. Nice place!

It is a good place to visit with family as well as friends but 3D show is a waste of time.

Pazhassiraja museum is not opened. Closed for renovation. You can visit Krishnan Menon museum and art gallery. Children park is open. Neat place.
