I recently had the privilege of staying at this remarkable hotel and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The world-class mountain view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, making every moment spent in the hotel a true delight.

The room was not only clean, but also incredibly comfortable, allowing me to relax and unwind in style. But what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by Joel and the cooking master. Their attentiveness and dedication to ensuring a wonderful stay were truly commendable.

From the warm hospitality to the culinary delights prepared by the cooking master, every aspect of my stay was simply outstanding. I can't recommend this hotel enough to anyone seeking an awesome experience in a stunning location. If you're looking for a getaway that combines breathtaking scenery, clean and comfortable accommodations, and top-notch service, this hotel is the perfect choice.

It was a great experience. Everyone was so nice to us, provided a great service and available for all the time. The best part of the cottage is view from the room. Special thanks to the person Joel for making us comfortable in all ways.

Peakaavu cottages is located in a serene locality, overlooking one of the most spectacular views. The cottage is spacious, giving homely vibes. The staff are extremely warm hosts. They're always on their toes willing to go the extra mile so that the guests receive the best hospitality. The cottage is clean and neat by the end of the day after we return from our sight seeing. Highly recommended stay, if someone's keen on visiting idukki.

The staffs were good but the owner was insolent.
Two weeks ago 2 cottages were booked for 2 families that included 4 elderly people, 3 others and 2 children. We checked in the afternoon for a proper rest after a very long travel but the rooms were very uncomfortable due to the heat inside, each room has a large glass to enhance the ambience but not a good option during summers as the glass traps more heat.
More over the rooms cannot be kept open as the light attracts mupli bugs. No toiletries were available, the bath towels were stained, No hand wash too.
We couldn't continue the next day so decided to move out and informed the owner which to our surprise he responded by demanding money for 2 days without even asking how our stay was or how could he improve. And when we expressed the soreness in stay he started throwing false allegations on us.
We went to have a pleasant memorable vacation but coming here ruined everything.

Must try…. Authentic Kerala food was super delicious and have nice options on food. Best place to have a barbecue set…spend time with family n friends.will surely plan to visit again … see you soon Peakavu!

I went for a relaxed vacation and also required a custom menu to suite myself and my family. The treatment was awesome! It was more of a family getting together. I did not feel like leaving the resort with a beautiful view always available. It is a hilly region and there are few areas to visit according to your liking. I did stay back to enjoy the view at the resort itself

Trust me, first you may find the location bit odd but as soon as you reach the location, it will be one of your best decision you ever made in hotel/resort/cottage selection.
AND the morning view is like mesmerising that it would take alot of time to overcome from it.
It’s at the TOP of the MOUNTAIN and in the CLOUDS.
Rooms are great and staffs are best. Ashwin is such a down to earth person. He makes you feel so comfortable while talking.

My overall experience was best and for sure I would be travelling again with my family or friends there.

The drive was a little difficult as the road was steep. It’s worth it as I got to stay above the clouds.

The best cottage/resort to spend your vacation with your family or friends.
The place is very scenic as it has the view of Wind Mills in the background. Rooms are mainly very neat and clean. Staffs are also very polite and humble. The cottage is big enough even if you are a group of 5-6. If you go few meters away from the cottage you can visit the wind mill plants also.
Overall it was great experience and I recommend you to visit this place.

It's literally at the peak, sunset and the sky was incredible.rooms were all superb and they served good quality tasty food - the salt, spices etc everything was in the right proportion.away from crowd.top of a hill.with great views and cool breeze.

Location is awesome. Good privacy. They got four Vila type home. Affordable rate. Food is is good.

Excellent location. Nice rooms. We did not get hot water even after leaving the tap on for 10mins. Hence 1 star less.

A nice resort to spend a day with your family or with friends. I prefer to stay with your family. Because the ambience and the hospitality that you are getting from this resort is fair enough for a memorable family outing. Food served was very tasty and the rooms were pretty spacious and neat. I faced only 2 negatives there
1. The path from entrance to the cottage area was not good. It was slippery and our tempo traveller faced tyre burnout due to that.
2. They provided only one table outside. That was not enough for a big group.

The climate there was mind blowing. One of the best resort I ever stayed. ️

This place is at an amazing location and affords you a breathtaking view of the adjacent valley and the wind-mills. The cottages are beautiful and well maintained.

Mr. Ashwin and Mr. Basil were extremely helpful hosts and went out of their way to accommodate our requests for a vegetarian diet (Kerala as a whole primarily consumes a non-vegetarian diet and hence they weren't completely prepared for our request).

They were there for us right from room-service to helping us plan our itinerary and helping organize an off-road Jeep trip to key locations on the hills.

Definitely recommended.

Good:
Location - away from crowd, peaceful, beautiful view
Food - tasty food, made to order

Ok:
Rooms are a bit small. May be all resorts there are like this. Construction restrictions and difficulties may be a reason. Not a big issue.

Bad:
One small complaint - hot water in bathrooms not really good. In the cold mornings and night, this was a small issue.

Great:
The people - Ashwin the owner, manager, all-in-all, Noel and Basil the chefs - absolutely great friendly gang. They take care of the customers well.

Will I visit the place again?
Definitely would like to go there again.

A Magnificent view from the cottage to get away from the noisy roads and busy life was to live for the homely hotel staff are very friendly & professional who made us feel very welcome,

Established in 2020, Peakaavu cottage is an alluring Kerala cottage built on the top of hills. You can get the views of beautiful mountains comfortably while sipping hot chocolate in your room. All the bedrooms in this cottage have full wall glass windows from where you can get the view of the valley.

They also offer high speed internet free of charge and private ensuite bathrooms to their guests. On your visit here, you must definitely take a walk among the windmills spread across the vicinity of the cottage.

A great place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. One of the well maintained and clean cottages I've ever been to. The place is far away from the town and there is enough privacy. I'd recommend booking the cottage with the hill view. The sunrise is beautiful. The food provided was average. Barbecue was good. Live barbecue is available. Its best to stock some snacks before coming here as the nearest shop is a bit far away.

Great stay. Best suited for friends get together and for families. The climate and ambience is good. Have a mild wind all the time and temperature is low. Visited in February but the best time to visit is December. In December, there will be high wind and very low temperature. The staffs are really good and helpfull. Rent of each cottage is really worth it especiaaly if 6 people stays in a single cottage.each cootage has 2 bedrooms with toilet attached and a hall. 4 people can stay for about ₹4000 per cottage. Extra persons are charged about ₹700.each cottage is maxed for 6 persons. They also have BBQ facilities. The tea (cardomom flavored) served is really good. But other food can be made better. The only negative is the high price of the average food. Hope they can improve on that and looking to stay again. Can easily reach by Car or any other vehicles.

Meant for Hospitality One of the nice place i have been, but added to my top 5 list for vacation with decent budget. Food was very good and if we wish to have barbecue also available. Location was mind relaxing and u need to enjoy the sunset.

We stayed here on 27th Dec.it was a great experience, view from the from property was amazing. A better option for enjoying a vacation with family and friends. Kids will definitely enjoy the ambience. Another attraction was the food esply the barbeque arranged on the evening time.rooms are clean and well maintained.
