Periyar Woods

The room was good. We didn't get hot water. The balcony chair and table was a little dusty. The bathrooms were not clean

Loved everything here, amazing service. Rooms are good and plus thing is the location is perfect.

Stayed at this hotel January 2018, lovely stay, owner and wife were very helpful in getting my late wife and me to St. Augustines hospital to treat a nasty insect bite to her leg.

What we liked:
1. Charged same amount mentioned in booking dot com
2. Courteous owner and staffs
3. Tasty food
4. Deluxe triple room size suitable for 2 adults and 2 children
5. Room service was good
6. Safe for family
6. Loction was good in general, for boating and elephant ride also

We booked in woods a month back, the owner says I am out just the same day of our checkin so we were offered a homestay kind property in nearby vicinity which was way cheaper than we were asked to pay. Next day he asked us to stay at his another property.
Not worth giving a single star. No one to carry luggage. No service. Food Not great.
Not recommended at all.

Don't ever book this one, no sense how to talk. Basic sense of hospitality is missing. Worst person

Poor maintenence and hygiene. No hot water service through out the day. The main door of room itself not closing completely.

Very Friendly and care taking host. Location was near the tourist places, at the same time away from the buzz and close to nature.

It was as an amazing experience staying here. I have a 4 yr old and 1 year old kid. Staffs here helped in odd hours also without any hesitation. Whenever I requested for milk or rice for kids immediately they will prepare it. Very kind staffs. Very much happy with their hospitality. Had a great stay.

Very well located. Neat and clean. Very friendly staff and always on hand to help you out. They guided and made our short stay perfect!

Actually this year two times I visited Thekkady n stayed in periyar woods.one in April n the second visit was on this month September.loved it,? Jeevan chettan n lekshmi chechi n their staffs was very much supportive n helpful for us.good ambience, tasty food with affordable rate.loved It. More over this homestay is very much comfortable for us while we travelling with kids.very neat n hygienic room and bathroom.everything was fine.if anybody willing to visit Thekkady plz stay there.definitely u wil njoy their services.

Good place to stay with family. Owner is very soft spoken and helpful. They serve very delicious, hygienic and healthy home made food. I liked the hospitality and friendly environment.

This is a home stay. Rooms are good and still you can find better rooms if you search. Since it is a tourist place beware of brokers. In this location for each and everything they broker get commissions. So interact directly for anything.

Periyar woods is not a fancy hotel. But it's one of the best home stays i have stayed before.

Last moment booking of a Non ac room at nominal charges per night. Stayed only for a night at thekkedy. Room and toilet was clean. Budget friendly room with balcony and peaceful environment. Nearby to market.
Breakfast was good and homemade. Good for a night stay or two. Overall nice stay.
