We went at 1pm so there was no wildlife - it was just a lazy boat ride and lunch

I think, If u want to see wildlife then u should go early in the morning of late in the day.

The prices were ok - clearly listed on all the boats

They charge around 1500 rs to take tourist through beautiful back waters and the beach where two sea waters join.its a beautiful beach where everyone can enjoy

Visited the backwater cruise with family. Loved the experience and the overall cruise tour. The best was the golden beach. Had a great time!

To much do charge and service provide 3rd class no any Bird seen nothing to value of money totat loss

Very poor place. When we take boat to agency's, they said take us to gold sand beach but when we arrived at beach they said to us going to beach is not allowed. Very poorly maintained. They just ride in lake like we are children's. Agent of boat is very arrogant and irresponsible to customer. They only need money and they don't care us. When we said, these ride is poor than they are shouting to us. They represent kerala's tourism but they don't care. They said nobody will care if you complain. Very very sad to said that don't visit these place. There must be proper system required for tourist. Don't go.

Lovely backwaters, slightly costly but worth a spen.

Very beautiful and photogenic place for nature lover. It will definately make us feel calm and refresh our mind and soul.but the charges are high 2500 for 2 people and 500 rs for extra person. Otherwise place is nice and beaitifull

Be ready with your bargaining skills.
You can bargain approximately 40-50 percent.

Highly advised for a great backwater cruise. Book online and avoid bargaining with independent boat operators who are always costly and skip few places during the cruise.

It's a nice ride through the backwaters. However I would not rate it as the best back water cruise in Kerala. If you have the time and the site walls enroute do take it.

Poovar backwater cruise is very beautiful. But the cost charged by the travel groups and companies are a bit too much. We saw hoardings afterwards saying the cruise actually costs Rs. 600 but they charge around Rs. 2000 to 3500

Enjoyed the boat ride. Worth the visit if travelling to Trivandrum. I selected this company given high rating basis high quantum of reviews. It was also convenient to be able to pay in advance via card the day before. However the service did not reflect the high rating. The boat was a bit run down, with peeling paint and life jackets were very old, some with missing buckles. Our boat captain was courteous but offered little commentary due to lack of English. In short there is nothing which distinguishes this service from others operating in the area. My suggestion is to check price in advance and simply go with the provider offering the lowest price.

Very nice experience. However, be careful about the rates negotiating. We paid 1500 rupees for 6 person for 90 minutes ride. There are many service provider in this area and you have to bargain for the rates.
Golden sand beach is for photography only. Very risky to bath. Don't bath here.
