Poovar island resort parking area

Amble car parking space. People can wait in neat space near the boat jetty. Security available at the parking but parking at owners risk.

Can park ur all 2,4 or heavy vehicle also
They have a security Over there to take care of ur vehicles

If you want to reach Poovar Island Resort, you have to first reach here. Then they will take you by the boat to the resort. It will take 20 minute. The boat journey is amazing.

Awesome and amazing place.
The sands there are golden in color having river on one side and ocean on another.
Various sight seeing places are there like mangroves forest, Mother Mary statue, elephant rock, coconut island, floating restaurant, floating cottages, etc.
There is a mini boat ride of about 2 hours which will take you through some of the very beautiful scenaries
A must visit place near Trivandrum.

Serene views, ambiance is good but needs maintenance of the floating cottages. The railing broke and I almost fell in the water. A big rat was running around the room and ate the food particles in the room. The flowers in the bowl vanished in the morning, don’t know if ‘rats eat flowers’. Food is okay, just warm enough, but it would have been better if it’s served hot.

This is a large space with three levels to park cars when you visit the resort. They will provide free boat transfer to and from the resort. Only thing is, don’t forget your stuffs in the vehicle, as you cannot have them until you come back.

Furthermore, there is a board saying that the parking is in our own risk, which shouldn’t be as we don’t have any other choice. The resort should employ some CCTV surveillance in that area at least for the sake of guests visiting them.
