Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Kochi

Everything is nice at Port Muziris Hotel.
Rooms are nice, big and clean, very comfortable. Rooftop with swimming pool and gym center is a +.

But the masterpiece is the staff kindness. Very attentive to guests and helpful with explanation. Thank you to the kitchen team, the GM and Rafeena for making our stay perfect

Excellent stay, the food was great. The staff was always happy to help out when they could. The rooms were a good size and the bathrooms were good as well.

The only annoying thing was getting Ubers or Olas from the location was tricky.

It was great! Good food, well atentative staff and also veey helpful and welcoming. The only thing is there js nothing around this hotel, but if you are here on transit, looking for a place to relax and maybe even a staycaytion this is the perfect place. Everything is new and clean, and also eventhough its so near the airpprt you wont be able to hear the planes.

We were here for a dinner meeting. Had food from the restaurant. It was yum. A tad overpriced though.

Really terrible experience!

I had contacted the hotel (on 12th September) to do a photoshoot for my daughter at the premises on 24th September. None of the staff who spoke to me had any clarity about the information to be given to us, so the call was transferred multiple times and finally a lady staff spoke to us who suggested I take the day option ie.from 10AM - 6PM. I was told that we'd get a call back from the marketing team. Up untill 23rd noon, I had not received any call from their side and had to call them again to confirm about the booking.

While checking in on 24th morning, the staff at the reception had informed that we must check out by 6pm sharp. I agreed and told her that the shoot will pack up maximum by 6pm. We paid the amount that they told us before checking in. We barely took two hours to get ready and once the shoot was about to begin, a staff from the restaurant and their F & B Manager Mr Eldho Kurian conveyed that we are not allowed to shoot there. To clarify why, Eldho advised us to speak to the reception staff. And then, the reception staff said an extra amount had to be paid, which was never communicated to us at the time of booking or even when we checked in that morning. After a heated argument with the staff at the reception (where they didn't agree that they hadn't informed us that there's extra amount to be paid for shoot) the Operations Manager, Lallu agreed to give us a 50% discount on the said extra payment for shoot. We agreed to pay the balance amount and while we were enquiring about the same, F & B Manager Mr Eldho Kurian spoke to us without any respect and made the situation really worse. He even said 'who knows if you guys are going to the road for the shoot', after which he argued that we asked for free stay and shoot (which we never did). This was very insulting to us as guests at the hotel and also as human beings. I believe this is not the way one should speak to another. He also insulted the entire crew and even said it wouldn't affect of him if we go live on social media or file a case against him/the hotel. The crew had also heard him speak to one of his colleagues that 'they must be kicked out of here' (implying us). They wasted two hours of our valuable time. The whole situation was so bad that we felt terribly insulted and had to move to another location. Since we hadn't used the room for the entire day time that we paid for, we asked for a refund, out of which not a penny was given back.

Even after all this, the staff never admitted their mistake nor did they apologize for the whole scene they created.

This is for everyone's information, please beware of the staff at this hotel. They're so pathetic and behave disgustingly.

I have been member of banvoy for apst 6 years still they were not able to facilitate me. Apart from it they were unable to add points to my account for current stay.

Port Muziris, Kochi is definitely one of its kind, and a must visit for everyone who is interested in Kerala's rich heritage. Everything about the hotel is unique, the art, the paintings, the decor, the food, the rooms, the books - just about everything. The first Tribute hotel from the Marriott family in South Asia, and well, we now understand what the Tribute pool represents.

Port Muziris is inspired from the mythical port by the same name, before present day Kochi evolved. It is an exploration of the endless remains of the once powerful port city studded with wooden homes, churches, palaces and synagogues. The hotel builds an interesting narrative as a private home of Lila, an imaginary muse and mascot. Lila’s fervour for art and graphics suffuses the varied design elements across the property. The colours are earthy mustard, indigo and teal, and the cosy lobby resembles a living room. Kettle, the tea lounge, features striking black and white photographs of the actual excavation site of the ancient port city.

The landscape is depicted in a minimal, pared-down, contemporary style at the hotel. And let me tell you that the place looks as beautiful at night, as it does in the day.

We were upgraded onto a suite by the wonderful team, and boy, the place was beautiful. Full of paintings, and books, and intricate Kerala architecture, super nice. The perfect welcome gifts in the form of authentic Kerala snacks. Overlooking the airport meant awesome views of flight landings.

Lila's choice of food was the bestest, really. Excellent options inspired from local flavors, and authentic taste. We loved the dinner, and breakfast. Everything was perfect.

Last but not the least, no place can be perfect without the staff. The service quality at Port Muziris, led by Shirie and the team, is impeccable. And we just cannot wait to come back again. Big salute, Team Muziris.

Previously the property name was Abad Airport Hotel and was owned by Abad group.

It’s Very classy and differential in terms of ambience. Hotel is Very convenient for Domestic and International Flyers as it’s just Opposite to CIAL and hardly 500 m way.

Food and Service Quality is also very Good.
