A beautiful and peaceful place for the most relaxing vacations! The owner is a really sweet man, he will take care of all your needs. The home made food is gorgeous and you can get it at any time you need. Late Breakfast? No problem! Loved it! The owner will even open his kitchen for you if you want to prepare your own meals or will show you how to cook local dishes. He will help you organise trips or book a train to your next destination. The beach is perfect for swimming and feels very private. You will have a great stay at this resort!

Location superb, it suits for friends family and couples who are coming as a gang. The area will be very silent, ly u can hear d sound of ocean and waves. Beach location and sunset.

We had a group of students as a part of our package and for Alleppey experience was the best. Customers literally enjoyed the beach and stay. Caretaker Varghese was a nice person who is open to help you at any moment. Food was nice too. They got a beach at their door steps and accessible 24hrs.

I had a visited to a baptism function at this resort on 5th january. I had to park my car on the east side of the road in front of the resort, because the small parking area infront of the resort was full at the time of my arrival, but the owner of the house where I parked the car came with his autoricshaw reversing and deliberately got in to my car gets damages rear bumber. We saw it moving forward but then we had no doubt about it and when we came home we found out that the car bumber was damaged. Requesting that action be taken against such anti-socials. The neighbors living in the area are not very nice, especially that autorickshaw driver from the east house, so please do not visit here with any vehicles. May be if the resort had large parking area cottage I wouldn't have had this damages.

Quit and Silent place. Best for weekend gateways and get togethert. We had a great time here. Hospitality was appreciable.

Absolutely amazing place. Beautiful views, clean beach. Very comfortable rooms plus extremely helpful and attentive staff and Col. Gijo was never more than a phone call away if you need his help. But u won't. However, the icing on the cake is that it's super pet friendly and my dog had a crazy awesome time there. Not only will I be visiting very soon again but will also recommend it to all my friends who don't have places to take their furry babies on vacation in Kerala.

The Beach resort in on the beach. It now has 6 rooms. The view is great and the staff is also friendly. For food you need to tell in advance as the staff has to cook it. Beautiful brease is there from morning till evening. AT night the breeze quites down. You can get fresh fish caught by local fisher men infront of your eyes. Though the beach is small and quite it does gives you a private beach feel. You have a 16th century church 15 min walk from the resort. You can also see the fisherman village which is also 5 min walk from resort. Best place to come unwind and relax. You also have massage rooms in the resort.

One of the manager and staffs is not good fully dusty room i am not prefer this resort in any one very bad.

Not saying it's a luxury but it's perfect for a small group to stay in and chill out for a night. The resort is placed just beside the beach which is great. The rooms are good and they are AC. And it's under a very affordable rate comparing with the alternatives.

Perfect for a budgeted weekend getaway with a private beach access and economical stay! We had a wonderful family time. Due to corona now in house restaurant is not available but while booking you can reach upto the team and they will do the needful to arrange your food preferences as well. Also get in touch with the hotel team to arrange separate kayaking and country boat bookings which is also worth every penny. Thanks to the whole Pozhiyoram team- Special mention to Gijo and Varghese chettan for the wonderful hospitality. Will be back for another hangout soon. Thank you.

Needs a lot to improve. COVID pandemic has struck them worst. After renovation second wave hit and thus in a bad state. But trying to pick up.

We had stayed at Pozhiyoram a couple of days back. The property is right next to the beach, barely a 3 mins walk so you can hear the waves all through the day and night. The rooms were not that big, but decent for the price. They have an ample sized property but it lacked maintenance at the time of our visit. The best part of the stay was that we enjoyed upto the maximum with the sea water and its like a private beach. Overall it was a good stay.

Best costumer service. And the place is simply amazing, very next to the beach. Enjoyed a lot with my family and friends.

A nice calm place next to natural estuary. Traditional in look and cosy too. Caretaker Varghese chettan was helpful. But please be mindful that due to being renovated, kitchen is not available right now but you can order online via Zomato from all the major restaurants from Alappuzha town.

Peaceful stay right next to the beach. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The host, Varghese ettan is available 24x7 at the resort. He is really friendly and helpful. Property also has adequate parking space.

Many of the components used in this resort are acquired from vintage buildings. For eg: The stairs used here are one from the movie Vietnam Colony. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful stay in away from the city.

It is really peaceful and awesome hotel near to the beach. Ambiance at hotel is quite good and staff of hotel are friendly and it feels like staying at home away from home with all the amenities and free from worries. I especially suggest and advice all of my friends to visit one time for some thoughtful, emotional and enjoyable experience. I will be there in near future for sure

This resort is worst I ever seen!
I along with my friends chose the Pozhiyoram Beach Resort in Alappuzha after reviewing their website which portrays a different picture compared to reality. At the time of COVID-19, they promised deluxe rooms to offer a lot of amenities that are not even available in their best room. Ever since we checked in, our experience has always been the worst.
The management does not have the courtesy to provide good service. They put profit motive ahead of customer needs. Keeping promises is a basic professional expectation. We had faced a very bad experience. When we arrived, we found that the rooms were not as advertised. Very bad service, especially from the management. The rooms were filthy. Bedsheets and towels were stinking and mosquitoes infested everywhere. The place was so disgusting. The air-conditioners were damaged. We first talked to the staff there, but to no avail. Then we approached the resort owner who behaved like a 'local goon. ' His rude mannerisms compelled us to cancel the reservation. The only saving grace was that they refunded the whole amount, fearing we would move legally. We were so disappointed and our whole journey was a nightmare.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE

Has a wonderful and clean beach front with backwaters at the background. Superb location, extremely quiet and a fun place to relax and unwind. This is a couple of KMs before the actual town which was actually great, and their beach was the cleanest in the entire alleppey coastline. They have hammocks around the coconut trees which are an excellent place to spend the evening reading and enjoying the beach waves. The rooms were clean and welcoming; especially the first floor rooms with huge wall to wall beach facing windows. The staff was pleasant and friendly; they arranged for extra beds at no extra cost and were ex responsive on room service. We had a great time, highly recommended!

We organized party in this property. All of us loved it. Hospitality is really awesome. When we were there we felt that we were home away from home.

Worst experience ever!
Went to this hotel at the recommendation of a friend, hoping for a good nights rest. Little did we know what a horror it would turn out to be! The hotel is not like what the pictures suggest. It’s kind of shady and not a good place to take your family. We wanted to sit outside the room for a while to enjoy the evening views but couldn’t because there were hordes of mosquitoes and their relentless attacks forced us indoors! Our room, which we had already paid for the night in full, was worse! It was shabby and unclean and there was dust and grime everywhere. The bathroom was dirty to the point that it was unfit for use. The a/c in the room conked out shortly afterwards, which the management blamed on a faulty stabiliser. In fact, the management’s response to our complaints was the most ludicrous of all. The owner does not know how to speak to guests! Instead of the common courtesy of offering us a better room or at least acknowledging our complaint, the owner got angry and talked back so obnoxiously as if we had not paid for the room and they had given it to us for free! He said that this is the way they do things at the hotel and if we couldn’t accept it, then we could leave! And that’s exactly what we did. Luckily we got a refund and found a decent hotel nearby.

Overview:
This review is based on our stay on 3 days 2 nights viz 14th 15th 16th Feb 2020. I booked two rooms for 5 people including 3 guys and 2 girls.

Location:
The resort is located right at the beach. However it doesn't have a direct entry/exit to the beach. It has a side entry but luckily the beach isn't far from this. You just walk out on the beach itself.

How to reach:
If you are self driving, you might end up in the sand as the maps suggestion was wrong and our vehicle got stuck in the beach sand. However I did suggest map about the closed road and I hope it suggests correct route now. There is a narrow street beside Colonels Beach villa which needs to be taken and it leads to the resort. If you are coming by Auto/Taxi, it's pretty famous there and you shouldnt have issues reaching there.

Room:
The rooms are just ok I would say. In terms of size it's neither big nor small. Just manageable. The rooms were neat.

Ambience:
Lighting is OK. I don't remember if there were any tubelights/white lights except for bathroom. Rooms had plenty of lights - yellow lights. However, it was pretty bright which I liked.

Bathroom:
This is pretty big in size. As you can see the images, the bathroom starts with a commode, a washbasin in front of it, and then stones on which you can bath. I liked the concept as it was something different from all the places. However it was a little uncomfortable bathing on the stones and they kept pricking my foot. Not to mention, they have provided Matt on the stones on which you can step but it's still uncomfortable. However I did like bathing on these stones as it was new for me. Since the stones are directly kept on the beach sand so there is no outlet for the bathroom. All the water seeps down to the sand through stones. This creates one more issue, due to water splashes some sand comes out and settles on the bathroom tiles which sometimes annoys you.

Cleanliness:
The rooms and bathrooms were decently cleaned initially. However, it started getting filthier due to above mentioned reasons. Plus you carry sand from bathroom to bedroom. Plus you carry beach sand to your bedroom. They need to provide sufficient footmats.

Restaurant:
There is no restaurant of the resort. However, they have some contacts with nearby hotels it seems. They arranged us food and said food can be made available till 10 pm from their partner restaurant.

Beach:
As described above, there is no direct entry to the beach. However, the side entry isn't too bad except for the fact that the side entry is little narrow and you have to walk some 20 fts to get to the beach. But that's acceptable and it 5he beach acts like a private beach. You can sit, relax, see the fishermen boats, observe the waves, listen to the sound of water.

Outside room:
Just outside the rooms, they have placed some chairs and tables on which you can relax and enjoy the calmness of the area.

More relaxation:
They have plenty of trees and good amount of greenery within the resort. In addition they have many rope tied hammocks which are tied to the trees on which you can lie down and relax for hours together.

Staff:
Staff and manager is good and friendly. They helped us with arrangement of food. They can arrange for beer as well if you as for it.

Places to visit:
This resort isnt too far from the city. The distance from the city makes it calm. However all the places to visit are just 30min to 1hr away from here which is acceptable.

Conclusion:
Overall, I liked the resort very much and would recommend you.

Top-Notch beach resort. Stayed one day with friends and enjoyed a lot. Staff and service is also good.

There was problem regarding AC but there is a guy named Midhun his hospility was so good that you'll like this place and make you feel come again. Near to beach and definitely you'll wake up the sounds of waves.

Great location and the resort outside was good. The room we got was falling apart and lacked maintenance. The service was decent and we got breakfast. With some renovation, this place would be great place to stay.
It is a great beach out of the town.some people drinking and making noise around that place making my family bit uncomfortable. Its not a safe place to leave the kids near the water without adult supervision as the water was bit rough.

One of the best resort I have visited till now. Rooms were well equipped and service was excellent. It was a great relief to stay in such a quiet and peaceful environment.

Very calm atmosphere, little away from town, beach view, nice rooms, prefer deluxe rooms for beach view. Awesome place.

Amazing experience with very humble hospitality.

The cottages are so close to beach that you will wake up to the sound of waves of Arabian sea.

Evening view of sunset with a beach walk/ sea bath makes your day.

And of course the homemade food won't harm your stomach or intestine.

Last but not least the resort provides kerala Ayurveda massage as well

There is a public beach close by and it's better you take a walk that side.

This is a very good property. This property is very close to the sea. The atmosphere inside.the property is very peaceful with beautiful landscape and traditional building designs. The service provided by the staff members of the property was exceptional.

Don't get fooled by the owner posted pictures. I will not suggest anyone this hotel specially for night stay. Lot of mosquitoes, Insects and lizards in room. Uncleaned toilets, almost open top bathroom. Single beds are attached to feel like a double bed.

Rooms are very very unclean. The people are very friendly but the rooms are too bad that they overshadow the people. Found lots of bedbugs in our mattress.

Wonderful place to stay. Good south indian food. Calm and serene environment. It's like a private beach with the resort. Resort manager is kind person and provide/arrange the required things in time.

We stayed here for a night. The place was quiet and serene.good for relaxing. The staffs were very much friendly. Not too many people around.almost like a private beach. Can have a nice walk by the beach side in the evenings.

Experience was pathetic. NOT at all SAFE for Family. RUDE, ARROGANT and UNPROFESSIONAL staff. Rooms are full of INSECTS and washrooms are pathetic. Resort does not have any proper connectivity and on top of it Food was bad and way too expensive. I wish I could give a ZERO star. Choose this resort ONLY and ONLY if you have no place left in whole of Kerala to stay.

Relax and Sunbathe
We visited this beach in December. It was not crowded ; only few foreigners were enjoying the sea waves. The ambience and temperature was conducive for swimming, however neither the beach here is as long & gradual as Goa's beaches nor they have water sports. The sacks and eating joints also have only basic food. But, myself and my friends enjoyed swimming and tossing a frisbee around. Don't expect Goa but one can relax under an umbrella.

Beautiful place to chill for the weekend. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Would love to be here again. Really a paradise, I stayed in a private cottage with beach at my door steps. Best experience I've had ever.

We stayed there for half a day. We got the room on 1st floor. Didn't have any meal there, but the view was dreamlike. It was so, so beautiful. It has a small gate to walk towards Alleppey Beach. Room was spacious, and bathroom was clean. The reception person was courteous. Liked the place a lot.

Very bad experience- No monitoring system in place to check rooms facility and cleaning. Food served is brought from nearby local restaurant which is not up to the rates charged.

Sea view blocked by many trees, no cleanliness in compound, smelly neaby beach used as toilet in morning and for fishing afterwards, rooms are smelly

Place is nothing like what we get to see in pictures, mainly because of negligence from management, not advisable for couples or family
