Nice location and view from the cabins are pleasant. Had a variety of seafood dishes. Only Podimeen had a muddy taste to it. Highly recommend for visit. This branch is family only.

The food is amazing but the service is rather dysfunctional. Had to wait for almost 40 mins but the food was worth the hype. The staff seems to be in some sort of haste and was a bit rude. The food was amazing the thala curry is a must try.

Nice evening vibe with good authentic kerala food. Lots of fish varieties and non veg options available. Veg options vere few. Fresh sweet toddy also is served along with food.

Not upto the reviews we read. We ordered duck, prawns, fish, mussels as special dishes. Most had the same taste. Highlight was the pepper they use is good. Masala wasn't that good. Not the best place I visited tho. Service takes time. Limited staffs.

A much hyped toddy shop with no toddy. Why would someone from trivandrum go to punchakari shaapp? Yes for obvious reasons. And about the food, it was disappointing. Bad service, bad taste, never felt fresh and preparation was.food was not served hot dispite taking long time. And food was deliveredone after the other. Terrible experience. The memories of vellayani lake was hampered. And rates are at par with star hotels. A place with no sense of dignity

The location is really nice, excluded from the hustles of the cities. The food is awesome af, but service and the attitude of the staffs are really intimidating. Go for njandu and rabbit!

They are special in Back Water fish, A list of Back Water fish available when I visit.mainly in Fish Fry, They can offer mare Fish dishes in tradetional style, Kalumakaya fish dish and Duck Roast was very good.

Bad service. Was good. Waited for around one hour and left the place because no one took our order after repeated enquiry.

Great place for a lunch or an early evening dinner. More than a toddy shop it's a family eat out corner.

It's a nice place for a Homely Food taste. Ambience is not much satisfied when compare to other dine ins. But when we look it as a Toddy shop one the nice customer friendly shop. UPI payments are accepted from a short while. Enjoyed the food. It's ok to be there with family. They have also constructed some hut like stations too for enjoying the food in the private room. The overall experience was good. Giving 4 stars cuz the dishes are bit over priced. Especially fish items. Must have a visit and enjoy the taste.

Experienced twice by driving about 60 km to & from;
1. Toddy served wasn't good and diluted/adulterated.
2. Eatables like pork, fish fry/curry, duck roast etc are the worst I ever had.
3. Unhygienic dining/drinking/washing area, kitchen and toilet.
4. Car parking space is available.
5. Common dining/drinking space and separate huts are available.
6. Rates are similar to star hotels/restaurants.
7. Not worthy, don't go with high expectation.

Family room are good, mostly local peoples gather, toddy is not really good, but food is very nice and tasty, pork items are available and tasty too. Best is appam. The parking lot is good, but the road towards the shap is not maintained.

Located 8 kms from Trivandrum central and near the beautiful vellayani lake. They have separate family rooms for food. Toddy was good and the food is extraordinary. Tried karimeen fry, prawns, Appam. All of them were very tasty.one if the best in Trivandrum. Affordable price as well

One of the best places for awesome Kerala food and adipoli kallu. Not only the food is lip smacking but the kallu will make you high as a kite. Great place and cheers to the beautiful Mallu food! Do try the kappa as well.prepare to get bamboozled.

Before the review, lets learn something about Toddy. Palm toddy has been collected in the early morning due to it gets fermented only by this time. After fermented, it turns into sour taste. Palm toddy contains carbohydrates, sugar, proteins and some minerals like potassium, vitamins etc, Everything will be if toddy is prepared properly. Ofcourse yes it contains alcohol so consumption in a limited number will get more benefits.

Punchakkari Toddy shop is one of the good in Trivandrum to consume toddy. Shop was not like hi-fi but it was decent enough. They have also provided family rooms as well to consume toddy and food. It tastes good and fish also awesome.
Foods like Fishes, Prawns, Duck, Pork, Beef and Chicken (Chilli Chicken) are available.

The approach road is almost hidden from the road, despite the fact the place is tucked away, it's quite a hit amongst famous and young crowd. The cuisine is typical keralite and very pleasing to the palate.

You arrive here, park your vehicle and enter the families only kiosk or the general public section, where the staff attends upon you. Place your order and you won't regret, it's that good. Please don't forget to order your bottle of today too.

I had tasted from kumarakom toddy shop, nettoor toddy shop and punchakkari shop today. Out of these three punchakkari is the worst. The fish curry i had is the worst. We will get even better from small hotel outside. Duck rost was good but no pieces in it. We ordered duck roast first and the supplier gave us beef. Overall u can have beef and duck from the shop from my experience. Fish fry and fish curry is tasteless. Parotta was good. Kappa and appam is below average. My experience was very bad

One of the best toddy shops in Trivandrum City area. The place is really far from the city. You'll have to either board a bus to punchakari or take your vehicle. Road is not so good. The food here is very tasty especially the beef roast and fish curry. Kappa beef is my best combo. Toddy cost something like ₹100. Not much over priced

Punchakkary shaap is meant for food lovers.its the shaap curry all go there.food is spicy.get the fish of the day rather than getting frozen ones like "attu vala" which must be in the freezer for few days.get the now available fish in the market.simply enjoy the taste.eat less tapioca.go there with more than four people so as to taste all the varieties there.enjoy

Best Toddy shop in Trivandrum.the food served here is awesome, fish items are superb wel worthy for our money.the shop is bit hot and the roofing makes its pretty hot.the riverside view here is not good enough.if you guys are looking for good Toddy this isn't the best place

Best place to hangout with friends and family. Good food good toddy. Average price for every food. Tried almost every dishes the only problem I found is too many bones in duck curry. But the dish is good. Not overpriced athentic nadan food.

Cheap delicious food. Food from toddy shops are a delicacy on their own and this place had a wide variety of food and the price range was really cheap. We had some problem finding the place because the roads are all not in prime condition. There is a scenic route to and from Punjakkari through Kireedam bridge where we can see the lake on the side of the road and other scenery like paddy fields and canals.

Such a wonderful place to enjoy Kerala food with family/friends. Amazing non vegetarian food with authentic Kerala taste which'll be a definite treat for your taste buds. Good service and food is worth every penny. Not very expensive though (₹₹₹).
Toddy is also available but the quality is poor.
Punchakkari toddy shop is very much recommended.
