Awesome place to stay, natural swimming pool, food is awesome, they served traditional food. Mr Praveen was exceptional host made us feel at home.

It's a beautiful place to stay but reaching to this place would be an adventure drive as there is no road and a drive with in the forest area
The service and the food is pathetic and especially this place is not meant for the people who looks for good food.

I had been here, few years back. Excellent place to relax and you may feel you are living inside a deep forest. The road is obviously like a jungle ride, they cannot extend it due to a forest. You can close your eyes and pay, it's worth enough ️

The manager Mr Joseph and his entire staff were extremely helpful snd resourceful. The ambience of the offroad resort in the midst of a forest is to be experienced by all.

Resort is located between the mountains. Very scenic, quiet also has a stream passing through the property. Rooms are neat and clean, courteous staff, decent food. Must visit if you are nature lover. Don't miss the view point.

Loved this place in lush green forest which is located little far from the main city. Rooms are old but spacious and clean.
There was buffet system for lunch and dinner when visited and we have to pay little high charges for that considering the remote location of this place.
About the property - this is largest resort property in Wayanad. Although road towards this property is in extremely bad condition, I would still visit the place for it's location.

Management. Is not ok.something. Wrong in. Payment. Time.lot of money the have. Taken with us.

It was one of the best resort we stayed in the recent times for office gathering, spacious rooms and night camp fire etc, the food was really good with simple menu.

Great location, food is tasty. The little pond to swim is my best part.kids enjoyed playing with the geese. Small trek to the viewing point is a must, beautiful and calm!

It's a beautiful resort in tune with nature, has a nice heritage theme. Rooms are big and have individual balconies, a bit poor on maintenance. Has an open bathroom with glass ceiling. They have a huge natural pool, waterfall, streams and a beautiful trekking trail with a view at the summit worth every calorie spent walking. Restaurant menu is limited but the food is tasty. You have to pay in cash for food as they don't have swiping machines. There is adequate mobile range in the resort. No TV or WiFi is there in rooms. Only problem is the leeches. You will get bitten. Definitely worth a weekend trip, and if its rainy season so much better. Rain, fog and the wind create such a romantic feeling. The view at night will all the lights switched on creates a heavenly atmosphere. Worth every penny. Just one problem, you have to drive about 3.5kms thru non existent roads/ to reach the resort. Either you can park the vehicle at a dedicated parking lot and they will come pick you in their jeeps. But I have seen people driving nano, Tiago, Swift and even Honda City to the resort.

If you like get off road travel experience, like to get full greenery feel, natual fresh water swiming pool (a natural pond) Rain Country Resort is the best place. Nice hospitality and Chilling weather. We enjoyed our stay

It was located in the centre of the forest with awesome Nature. A lot of varieties of food were served.

The road to reach the resort is pathetic
only good for off road vechiles almost 4+km in hills to drive from main road, it's fully off road.they do have jeep to pick you from main road (if you come by your own vechile then parking charge per nite is 200extra) the jeep per trip 500Rs cost either drop or pickup.if you want two way then 1000

they mentioned natural swimming pool but you can't even get inside seems its like normal hindu temple kullam / pond fully dirty and greeny feels very risky that all the place covered with litches

the entire resort is fully occupied with litches you have to be bear with that.you will be the luckiest person that if you didn't get a bite from them.food is overall average, breakfast is ok and dinner is average.very slow service they will not refill, will make you wait.if you want some snacks for your drinks then it's very costly for side dish that too they will provide after you finish your drinks

rooms are good and bathroom are very huge and neat that is really good.one bad part is no privacy between rooms if you speak other room person can hear you clearly.should be very careful, either you have to book private cottage instead like single room for couples.you can go a short truckking, top to that hill by 10mins walk from resort, it's only good option I felt.

No big entertainment inside the resort as mentioned by them.

The amount you paid is not worth for it.

You can come and stay for a day or two without going outside by simply sit relax sleep and move out.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed, swimming pool filled with mud and the staff has no idea as to when it will be ready to use, roofing done with Mangalore tiles without the second layer u can expect lot of insects and other creatures on the bed when u wake up, toilets ran out of water for a good 12 hrs which the staff was unable to rectify, staff confused weather they have a bathtub or a Jacuzzi and the most funniest part they have installed ac in a room done with Mangalore tiles there the roof gaps take off the chill. This was a perfect example for how to not construct a resort. I am confused as to y they call it a resort. Funny place funny people.

I feel bad writing this review but I hope this reaches the proper channels without affecting the actual stay review. All the staff were so nice, but this review only due to one person. The resort is amazing, food was fresh and homely, staff was ever so polite and helpful. Giving low review due to the manager at the property which made our stay a bit stuffy. Any request made, manager told us to sort it out ourselves. He even told us to tell the hotel driver to go home as we weren’t going for any sightseeing. We wanted towels and I half expected the manager to tell us to take from pantry ourselves. After 2 days during checkout which was at 11am, he told us to keep the bags at reception at 9am itself. At 10.30 he called on our cellphone to remind us of checkout. Out of respect we ignored many such instances but The worst was the evening after we checked out he texted on whatsapp his own number saying it was a staff tip box. Though I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved every aspect, this behaviour was Very very unprofessional.

Spend two nights in last week. Wonderful experience. Natural streams in forest atmosphere makes the place more charming. Staffs are professionaly trained ensured taking care of our all needs.

Highly refreshing and amazing experience at rain country resort, lakkidi, Wayanad.it is awsome to travel a 4 km through forest to reach the resort.it is great feel when we reach the resort in a middle of forest.we badly needed a great weekend bcoz of last day exam and this amid pandemic.we had a walk to a view point in the morning.camp fire at night.dj party.and good food and service.service also awsome ️. Only the problem.not a big though.room is old I think.little bit more cleanness needed

The resort is in a remote calm place in Lakkidi, wayanad.

Likes.

1. Place is good, calm and quite.
2. Good as a peaceful place.
3. Food is nice but so expensive.
4. Climate is always gently cool.

Dislikes.

1. Too expensive for the facilities.
2. Food expense is at its peak.
3. Less options for activities.
4. Room facilities are not good. Not working TVs. Not getting hot water.
5. Can maintain little more neatly.
6. Road is worst. Own/private vehicles are not at all recommend.

Opinion.

Not recommend for those who want value for money options. You can ask for the services like jeep service to the location, ordering from outside and ask for some reduced price. Then it is ok for one day.

Worst experience. Beware the hotel might cancel your booking if done through third party booking if they get direct booking. I done my booking through make my trip and paid the full amount and got my confirmation messages. Right before i reach the hotel, i got a call from hotel saying they cant accommodate because they had full booking and they are not aware of the booking from make my trip. When o asked them what am supposed to do, they said they cant help me and i have to speak with makemytrip customer care. It took them more than three hours to atleast get a cancellation.

In the middle of the Lakkidi rainforest, a beautiful resort with traditional Kerala architecture, a natural pool, water streams, and a 360-degree forest viewpoint gives an awesome experience for your holiday. Visited in a monsoon time with family gave me a lot of good memories and time. The manager was very friendly and helpful with all of our necessities. Highly recommended for people who love nature.

First of all as the name suggests you must go during rainy season.there is a beautiful stream running through the middle of the resort which I doubt will be there during other times. The pool is huge and natural meaning that the water will be fresh and flowing during rainy season. The staff are friendly and the food is good. One guy even gave us a speaker as ours was not working. Thanks bro. The cons is that the road up to the resort is completely broken and you better not try to get there in a hatchback. You can leave the car at the parking lot near the entrance and get a jeep. Make sure to get the drivers number otherwise you'll be paying 500 to the guys at resort while the actual jeep rent is 300.

Great stay. Calm atmosphere. Food was also tasty. We had a stream hiking. Which was wonderful. We also spent tym in natural pond in middle of resort. Best️️️

The way to Rain Country Resort is the worst road I have seen in my life I recommend no one should use your own car to travel from Waynad to Rain Country Resort you should take any jeep services Their swimming pool is a pond like swimming pool it is natural swimming pool I strongly recommend you should not use your own car

Roads are very very bad. I travelled 4kms in VENTO car, I was on my tears seeing the road. Your car wil be damaged completely without any doubt if u travel to that resort for 4km off-road. Please dont take your car by any chance. There is no road only to the resort, u should climb the mountain with your car in the skiddy roads. Its a very small road, if u get a opposite vehicle leave your car in road and go home, u cont do anything. Resort is good but u cont risk your car

Nice place to stay, great mountain views, Natural lake, great food (Buffet), good management.

Resort is 4 kms away from highway. Only downside is the whole 4kms is off road. But worth doing that.

Good place in wayanad.
The travelling from Main Road to Resort was adventurous if you have good SUV.
Isolated rooms makes a good Privacy.
Some of the rooms was so traditional wood structure.
The bathroom was awesome in the category.
Room service should be little bit improved.
A good view point is available within the property.
Leeches, Monkeys, Scorpios are roaming the resort as we are staying in forest area it won't be a Cons.

Good place for relaxation.but there are somany leeches around the cottage so it is so horrible for children. Pool is not too deep and good for children. If there was tube for swimming it will be more suitable for children.

LOTS TO DO

Quite and calm resort, awesome Ambience, they have pond with shallow dept which is better than a POOL with natural water from the springs. Best for kids above 130cm, suggested to bring jacket or tube for shorter kids.good to learn swimming.

COST about 5k for a room for our family (5 members) they provided extra bed too for 1000

They have GAMES too including table tennis carroms chess badminton, restaurant has a good vibe too

, the ROADS are damaged due to flood but are being repaired.its quite difficult to get there, like 5 km in thru a rocky road uphill. But still it's worth it

U can trek uphill for an awesome view of all the nearby resorts

BREAKFAST was complimentary (bread butter jam, puttu, poori, Baji, kadala curry)
Night food, lunch, I suggest buying parcels from Taaza (restaurant downhill) before going 5km uphill.

Even the night walks are fun the low light lamps lighting up all the way down from our cottage at the top

Note: never buy omlette (100rs per egg), always ask price if Ur buying anything from restaurant

Beautiful resort well worth a visit! I spent a day here in early January, 2020, with my in-laws who are from North India. Suffice to say that we were all blown away by the scenic location, amenities and the service.
The ride up to the resort from the main road was a bit scary (the road is narrow and its best to have an experienced driver). Once at the resort there is enough to see and do for an entire day. Its also a great place to relax over the weekend. The resort appears to have been built with the idea of “oneness with nature” in mind. It gives a comfortable feeing of isolation from the hustle and bustle of city life. And yet I had good cellular connectivity so I could still keep an eye on work. The cottages we stayed in (shown in pics) were built in the style of old traditional Keralite houses, which was a nice touch and had a minimalist quality to them. The kitchen was also excellent and catered to our meal requirements (picky vegetarians/vegans) to our immense satisfaction
Will certainly recommend this place to friends and family!

Really nice place for getaways in nature. The route to the resort is nota a paved road and takes a while so you wouldn't want to go out multiple times a day.

Best resort I have stayed till now. It's literally in middle of the forest. Refreshing. Peaceful. Service and food are also good. It's bit expensive.but worth every penny. If you are going to Waynaad.it's one the best places to stay.

It's an excellent and very pleasant location, you can say it's a kind of heavenly place to spend time with your loved ones.food is the second best thing and you can get very tasty food. Nature pool is one of the best happy time pass.keep your gadgets away from you except camera.you need to click as much as pics. (try to avoid communicating with Dave Anand he will facilitate thing with a smile only for extra money)

The resort is very peaceful place. You will get a camping feel. There is no noise outside. The resort is full of greenery, trees. They have activities, but not very well maintained. The swimming pool was under maintenance when we went there, which was disappointing. The service is very good. Staff is friendly and eager to help. The food is amazing and they make specialized Kerela Cuisine for every guest on request. The chef served very authentic and delicious food. We also got authentic Kerela oil massages which was very relaxing. The resort provided bicycles for riding and we enjoyed riding between the mountainous region. It is a bit far from city so if you want to go to Wayanad, you need your own vehicle. They also provide separate stay and food for drivers. Also, the highlight was the different types of birds at the place. It is almost musical with the sound of nature - birds, trees, wind. Good place to relax and rejuvenate.

You will get the real forest experience. They have their own fall, trek, and natural swimming pool. The only problem is reaching there is very difficult. The road to resort is very bad.

Got to know this place in tourism exhibition. Chennai trade centre. It's off main road.jungle resort types.to d nature.evening d resorts would get very scenic.awesum wheather.this place is best if u r with a grp only.preferably bigger one as u r totally cut off with every thing else. Its the best place one can visit in waynad the stay is very comfortable and our host Mr. Devanand he is gem of a person although we had a minor issue while our drive he was our saviour due to language barrier and made all the needed arrangements so that we are back safely. Mr Anil (MD), Mr joseph (GM) Took personal care and made our stay very memorable one.must visit place to stay.

It's horrible they will loot u, foods are so costly and u have no choice as this resort is 3-4 kns from main road no access to other restaurants.and it's rain u can't as road s are slippery.devanand manager loot u with smile charges 500 RS for food.which u may like or not depends.leeches is another issue. Location is good but.again I feel paying this much for resort is not worth.

Excellent spot! Excellent food! U have to go off-road for about 3-3.5 km in order to reach this place cuz it's in between the forest. Still that adds to the adventure. They have this natural pool which is convenient for a dip. Surrounded by nature. Wonderful experience

The road that leads to the resort is pretty scary and adventurous. If it is your first time going there, I'd recommend you to go pretty early before the sunset. Hatchback's or Sedan's would have hard time getting there. Need a very experience driver to get you there safely. I think you may also request assistance from the resort people for additional cost. But once you get there it is heaven.

We went for a Royal Enfield company get together.
