Fantastic boutique resort with a jaw dropping view of the falls. The entire resort has around 6-8 rooms, which makes for an intimate setting in the midst of the forest. Every room faces the falls, and it is quite a sight to wake up to the sun gleaming off the Athirapalli falls. It's a remote location with few activities, like trekking to the falls, a plantation walk, ayurvedic massage and an evening safari, but what this resort does so well is a luxurious experience in the forest. They are eco-conscious and have consciously stayed boutique to really make it an intimate and personal experience. Also the property has been left to the wild, so expect to spot sambar deer or spotted deer as you wake up!

The jacuzzi room comes with a stone jacuzzi that faces the waterfalls, and it just makes it a wonderfully romantic and quiet retreat. Come here to rejuvenate and get a nature cleanse, in the wake of the majestic Athirapalli waterfalls.

Incredible. Go here and stay at least two nights (we only stayed one). Good is inclusive. View of falls is great. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Hope to go back

Overpriced. Rooms are spacious but food and Services are not worthy the exorbitant tariff they demand. The only USP of the hotel is the location and view.

What to say about this place! I went there with my husband and I wasn't expecting much but the near dangerous trek down and the heavy rains made it all up to the view I saw once I reached down. Both of us were drenched and exhausted because of the heavy rains but gosh this has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been too. Must go and please wear good shoes for the way down

We asked for reschedule due to nipha virus. They are not willing to reschedule or pay back the advance. They took 22k for free from us. Full money minded.

If you want a lunch woth a view at Athirapally call them and inform them in advance they dont take walkins as they r ecoresort and make food only for likited guests!
You can pay a cover charge of Rs1000 and click amazing pics from here thats what we did!

Would def return to stay here! Book well in advance for weekends as they get sold out!

"My wife and I recently stayed at the Rainforest Resort in Athirappilly, Kerala. The resort is located right next to the Athirappilly Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Our room had a balcony with a stunning view of the falls, which was absolutely breathtaking.

The service at the resort was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub with a view of the falls.

The food at the resort was also excellent. We had a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The resort also has a spa, which we visited for a couples massage. The massage was amazing, and it really helped to relax us after a long day of exploring.

The 4* is for the location and the view. Property has the view of the waterfall from every corner. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. Food is good too. It's the traditional Kerala sadhya for lunch and al'a carte for dinner. It's a very small place with nothing much to do. I feel it's overly priced for what is on offer.

Expensive Experience Exotic. The best place to grab, if you want to spend a night.
Visit during rains.
It's highly expensive and is for top guns only. Rates difference makes a line between common man and an elite.
Best bet if you have plenty money in hand nd don't bother about working errands.

Beautiful place with awesome view of the athirapalli waterfalls. Very courteous staff too who helped us with some tea and snacks though we reached at an odd time

Fantastic view, stellar rooms and top notch food and service. It's probably even better during the monsoon. You won't feel like leaving.

Not for common indian, even though they will not allow you to pass through natural vegetation.

World class service in an absolutely spectacular setting. This resort is an architectural masterpiece. Its a modern minimalist / Frank Lloyd Wright / Bauhaus work of art. The structure blends into the surroundings with minimal footprint. Remarkable attention to details in every aspect of this resort.

Now the service exceeds all expectations. From the minute we stepped in Gokul welcomed us in and from that point onward defined what Indian hospitality is all about. He is extremely knowledgeable in architecture, wildlife, culture and cuisine. The entire staff is superb and made our stay so special. The food was top notch with the freshest ingredients. The Kerala thali lunch is to die for. The place is impeccably clean, linens crisp, rooms have a spa like feel. Add to that the sound of the waterfall to create this environment that is truly uplifting.

One word to sum up the experience of this exclusive setting, the harmonious architecture and service that redefines hospitality is “magical”. This was an end to our India trip and thanks to the Rainforest team for making this an unforgettable experience!

Very bad service, we waited for half an hour for someone to take our order. Not just that no one came to take our order, but when we got up to leave after 40 min, nobody bothered to stop or apologize to us. Very cold attitude. Will not visit the place again.

Excellent location. Head on view of the waterfall from all the rooms. Awesome ambience. Nice food. Very courteous and helpful staff. They arrange for trekking.
