The best Karimeen, Kalanji and Thirutha come from the mouth of Vaikkam kayal and Muvattupuzha river. Rameshan buys his fish from the local fisherman of this area.
If you visit his shop around 9 am you will get the fresh catch of the day and you can taste the difference when you cook it for same day lunch.
Compared to Vembanad kayal the fish here is slightly expensive, but I can see the difference in the quality.
