Staff there, Ms Kavya had done her job very promptly when I applied for my International Licence. Kept updating about the progress and issued the licence before I had to travel.

Such an irresponsible, narcissist behaviour. They are not even considering that a human being is standing in front of them.
I went there with a very basic simple query.
Even that they are not able to serve or even convince me what exactly has happened.

The RTO officers are a bunch of sadists. I went to renew my driver's licence and it was a horrible experience. I am a 67 year old lady. They made me come a number of times to their office for such a simple thing and they deliberately made a lot of unnecessary problems for me.
In short i can say they are not humans but devils.

We went there as interns and the employees were really friendly and we got many good moments there.

Tried to apply online for the new smart card licence and had a doubt and it was well answered by the team at RTO ERNAKULAM over phone.

PRO of Kakkanad RTO is really very nice. Smiling face and customer friendly interaction. There’s no delay and he is very quick in his work.

I would suggest that everyone should bring a chair so that you can sit and wait for hours rather that standing. Inefficient way of conducting LL test. Hope i will never need to go there again in my life. Though the saffs are friendly.

Went there for transfer of ownership of my bike with the buyer (ref: sale of my bike) at കുടുംബശ്രീ e-seva സെൻ്റർ, located on the 2nd floor of RTO section of the Civil Station (Collectorate), got it done in less than 30 minutes.

A bunch of CHEATS & CROOKS. They are very active to apply FALSE ALLEGATIONS to increase their revenue. The RTO officer SWAPNA is INCOMPETENT and LACKS MORAL value. She will LIE on your face to support her subordinate officers who VAGUELY charge fine without any valid proof. Please do not approach them for justice as they themselves MISUSE the authoritative power that they weild. I had a personal experience recently where my wife was fined for not wearing a helmet but the MVI BEJOY PETER fined her ₹6,500 where the actual charge should be only ₹500. This department is greedy for money that they will charge you any case that they feel will get more revenue. BEWARE BEWARE

PRO was very helpful. Came with 70 year old woman to transfer vehicle from late husband's name. System down since almost 2 hours. No place to sit. All chairs have their cane seats in tatters. Bitter experience. But the PRO was really good.

I got a notification in the parivahan site that my vehicle xxxxxxxxx have crossed the speed limit in april 2022 under the jurisdiction of ernakulam rto.
BUT MY VEHICLE HAVE NOT DRIVEN IN EKM DISTRICT IN THIS APRIL.
NO REPLY FROM THE AUTHORITY EVEN AFTER POINTING OUT THIS.

If you are not ready to pay bribe, be ready for a tiresome waiting periods; no matter whether its a Hypothecation cancellation, or RC renewal etc. Nonetheless, we have to pay Rs. 10 for parking your car. Government office hai bhai. Adjust karo. I had to visit 4 times for an RC Hypothecation cancellation. They will neither send RC book to the permanent address, nor they will say that you please come and collect on this day. Eventually I had to wait for 2 months I had to wait. All such offices, must be outsourced to corporates. They will show how to care a customer, rather than providing such a hell like experience to a tax paying person.

I went here today to pick up my RC book which i could not collect via post. The office is on the second floor of the Collectorate building and there are lifts that you can take if you can't climb the stairs. The lifts have flashing lights too:) The staff at the enquiry counter was very helpful. We just have to wait our turn and not lose patience when others cut the queue and try to ask their questions. Within 30 minutes, i had my RC book in hand and was on my way out.

Provides vehicle related services like registration, permit, fitness certificate etc and issuing driving license.

Met the Joint RTO, and, Motor Vehicle Inspector, to seek a clarification on renewal of Driving License. Both the officers were very courteous and helpful, and the guidance was very reassuring.

Now information is available for everything related to vehicles in parivahan or vahan site u can go through it before hand before going to RTO office to reduce waiting time in queue in the information counter and visit to RTO

Making people wait long time, 100 people's waiting in que and only one PRO to sort their issues, such pathetic system and government.

Just like any other govt establishment, you get what you came for as long as you don't forget to be patient and know the right people for the right job.

Very poor service.the employees of kankkanad rto are very rude and egoistic.they don't have manners.especially the ground employees are very rude.they don't know how to behave with a human being.completely disappointed with service.sorry to say but there are no service.

The charges at e-seva counter is in excess of the actual amount shown in the receipt (Rs. 95.00 more).

One of the best RTO in India. You can directly interact with any one. They have good patience to listen your query and help you where it is required.

Pathetic experience. Each and every service provided is delayed. Long long waiting hours. Very much disappointed.

I had a wonderful experience. The person sitting in the PRO counter is so helpful and guiding properly. Another person sitting at fast track counter 2 is also so much helpful.

Finally, I met the MVI. He is also so sober and polite. Guided me exceedingly well and my licence renewal work was done in 45 minutes. Really great experience.

Nothing will happen if you go with a request. I don't know why we have only one life and they won't accept a single thing if we requested and literally they don't loose anything. They treat everyone as a terror evenif you are genuine. Very bad approach till date. Never go and if you think it's not done coz of your faith only.

Work place, and also most time we always post 2hr in there, MVD is doesnt have good attitude, its a government office but they don't have a good cleany floor or anything.
Worst place than akshaya center, very boaring

1. No proper area for the public to sit and wait, no fan even. They make us feel as second class citizens.
2. If you dont approach through a tout your paper will be last in queue. They treat you as an uninvited guest.
3. Never answers office phone, may be because they are busy with their personal telephone calls.

ITS HIGH TIME TO OUTSOURCE RTOs LIKE THE REGIONAL PASSPORT OFFICES.

RTO enquiry section is informative and they provide details of the documents that you need to bring. The staffs inside the office are also well behaved. Though, some people are not willing to stand in queue messing things up. You don't need to bribe the officials to get the things done. So, stay away from agents if you don't want to lose time and money.

Bad attitude. There is not even a chair for you sit in RTO's room. He will just let you stand while checking his phone/ WhatsApp for long time before asking you why you were there, and again lot of waiting before he decides to put down his phone and check your case.

New vehicle registration. They give preference to brokers. Genuine owners are made to wait for hours and treated rudely. Typical state govt staff.

What is the use of a teleojone number in the. Web site if no one is there to answer the call.calling the number since yesterday morning and no snswer.made. A minimum of 25 calls.

Had a great experience visiting this office for registration purposes. The pro spoke politely with a smile. It gives confidence to the new people visiting here for their services. I had no clue on how to gain my RC book. The pro gave me all the instructions and all went well. Even the lady at the application counter helps people out if they have some of their papers missing, while she could simply tell them to make changes and stand in the que again. I needed to come here 2 times, but it's a gov office and they have to deal with hundreds of people everyday. We have to understand their limitations and appreciate how they manage to smile and work in a packed up office. Five stars

I had a really good experience at this office. Approached here to get International Driving Permit. Applied through online, took printouts and went to submit at their office on a Wednesday. Unfortunately I was not aware that IDP application processing is not done on that day. But kindly enough the RTO officer accepted my application and I was spared of further trips to this office. They have enough parking and functioning lift compared to other RTO offices in Ernakulam. This RTO office is situated in the Civil Station Building, Kakanad.

Nexus between RTO inspectors and training schools at Kochi, Kerala.
One can ONLY pass the driving Test if one goes through motor training school or has a vehicle given by mitir training school.
The vehicle inspector does not give any directions as to how to go about going for tests. It is the representative of the motor driving/ training school who conducts the tests.
The vehicle used for Two wheeler test is not available in open market. It is used exclusively for driving tests. The individual is not tested on vehicle who one is going to drive. This is the reason why there are so many accidents on road with two wheeler. The Driving Test is a farce. I will challenge allow who participated n driving test on 23 & 24 March to give the driving test on any other gear two wheeler from scratch, like starting, putting gear and going for making a figure of eight, without any instructions given by RTO Vehicle inspector as to how to go about and then give the result.
I would also request RTO to advice his vehucle inspectors to demonstrate how to go about for giving test on vehicle other than provided by motor training school which is the vehicle which the general public uses everyday.

Similar is the case with four wheeler. I was informed that even one can drive bullet and make a figure of eight.
Again I would request the motor vehicle inspector to demonstrate before taking test by the same individual.

Similar should be the case with 4 wheelers.
When will the nexus with agents of motor driving school and RTO staff finish and general public can get the licence with dignity and without paying any commission.
I WAS APPROACHED BY AN AGENT AND ASKED FOR MINEY FOR GETTING XLEARED THROUGH HIS VEHICLE WITHOUT EVEN APPEARING FOR THE TEST.
