Exceptional private collection of decorative objects, in porcelain, glass, crystal, ivory.many coming from European countries. Amazing collection of Swarovski creations. The story of a rich family too.

This is a fantastic place. Full of very exclusive and rare articles. Very ancient items to latest works in crystal by Swarovski can be seen here. It is said that the value of particles exceed 600 CRORES. This belongs to M/s Betty, wife of Late Revi Karunakaran, who was a famous coir exporter. Many ivory antique pieces too can be viewed there.
It is surprising why such an exclusively collection has not been marketed. It seems the promotes are not interested in money and want only interested people to view this.

Interesting place displaying the opulence of an entrepreneurial dynasty. Lots to feast the eyes on. A fine memorial to Mr Karunakaran.

Super great collections of ivory sculptures in the first floor. The Buick super car is a beast for sure. Definitely must visit once. But only for those who love art. Otherwise it may be boring. Ticket price is high 200Rs

Nice place to see. Very good crystal collection were there. But entrance fees was bit costly for Adult Rs. 150 and kids rs. 50.

Must visit. Franstic collection. I came to know about the Museum of after reaching Alleppy. It is great place and can spend 2 to 3 hours. English speaking staff is available. Overall good experience.

A must do on your visit to Alleppey if you want to try something other than houseboats. The collection is mind blowing. Well maintained, easy to navigate and a treat to the eyes. They have the largest Swarovski and ivory collection I've seen anywhere. The antique furniture and paintings are awe inspiring.

Basically its about Reviji and his contribution to the society. Timing and Tickets are there, so check and visit the place.

Nice museum developed by Mrs. Of Mr. Revi karuna karan in 2006. Nice collection of ivory, gems, silver and all other things collected by Mr. Revi Karuna Karan. The enterance fee is 250 rupees oer head but it is worthy to pay.

Unsure what should be expected from the museum. It's neither historic nor theme based. At some point, it seems like a display of collectables over time. If you want to spend time while you wait for a shikara or lighthouse to open, this is an ideal location.

Very small museum… have few old and new collections.is not worth the money and time…. They charge Rs150. Per person which is too expensive for the size of the museum… the museum is maintained very well…the place is very neat and clean…all the artifacts are well documented and labeled…. It has 2 floors for viewing.the other bad part is that you cannot take any pictures inside the museum… first floor has one vintage car and many tanjore paintings…some furniture of art work…second floor is having lots of crystal collections…the new collections from Swarovski with many limited collections are available…. The good impressive collections are from tanjore and kerala…. I think the museum should focus on india centric collections more and celebrate on the unique collections India produces…. Overall good museums but expensive!

Outstanding collection by the collector. Well displayed and arranged in the museum. What the place could use is more info on the collected items, such as to give some historic or artistic background into the collection.

The collection is very good for a private museum but the experience was soured by needlessly rude staff behaviour. The entrance did not have an explicitly marked ticket counter so we wandered off to the Pieta statue on the left and we were called in from there by someone managing the room on the left of the museum. Somebody, who I assume is the manager, started shouting that these people have not paid for their tickets. The tone implied we were trying to get in for free! Nobody has the right to get angry at the very first instance of some mistake. Creating a public scene for something that could have been easily solved with a polite question like: "did you purchase your ticket? " was escalated into an altercation. Hope the management pays heed and imparts some basic training to their staff.
The collection is very well curated and worth an hour of your time.

We visited the museum on 16th April 2022. The place is a treasure of artifacts from all over the world. The staff were curious to give us proper direction. The museum is kept spotlessly clean and odour free. We felt proud that our state is owning a museum like this. Photography is prohibited inside. You can spend at least 2 hours here. It is worth.

Its a private museum and has a really large collection of carved ivory and crystals as well as porcelain ware.
Its a must watch if you are visiting Alleppey.

Well maintained. Warm Staffs. Name board and informative writings to each item is displayed. So minimum 3 hrs needed to cover and enjoy.

It is a private collection and thereby curated according to the tastes of the collector but definitely worth a visit. There are exquisitely beautiful items of ivory, Swarovski crystals and from Lladro.

Wonderful museum. Must visit I would say. This museum is about one single great person. It has great artifacts and beautiful gems. You will definitely love it. It takes around 2 hours to complete the tour.

It's a Good Place to spend your time with your Friends and Wife only if you are interested on collecting or visiting various kind of stuffs or to know about it. Maintenance of the Museum and Staffs are Good.

Rs. 150 entry fee per head is not worth to spend for the things used by an old guy.
You can feel a gift shop inside a house. Waste of money and time. They are not allowing for photography, then what is the point in collecting 150Rs per person. Don’t waste your time here. Money minded family property.

I am very amazed to know that a person can collect such a huge article from around the world. I spent 3 hours to take a look around the museum and thrilled to know the fact of each article kept. Staff are very accommodative and explained.

A must visit place. This museum has many possessions which is very unlikely to be seen elsewhere. It has many valuable jewellery from all over the world

The private museum has excellent ivory artifacts. There are other many more Chinese, Japanese and Indian artifacts. It is definitely worth visit at Rs 150. Considering the huge money and effort it takes to collect these over generations the experience is priceless.
