Rumi Restaurant & Cafe

It seems like the management has changed. The restaurant doest have the RUMI name anymore. Their speciality was Chatti Chor wasn't that great and porotta and curry seemed pre cooked and just heated and served.

A neatly maintained restaurant with a nice decor. Good service and yummy biryani. Special Chatti meal looked good did not try it though. Reasonably priced.

The food is so good. Affordable. Good ambience. I love their Barbeque and Beef Kondattam. It's so delicious. Their Porotta is also good. Family friendly restaurant.

A new restaurant with quite wonderful interior.the ac room is also nice with a good outward view.
The staff are friendly but lack the knowledge of items and prices, cant blame them coz the restaurant is newly opened.
The food was just okay with specific choices for biriyani.
The problem happens when you go for a wash from the ac restaurant, there are two wash basins outside the restaurant and the place is having washing machines, gas cylinders and a lot of dump.
Hope they find a solution to this over time.
Or else people wont prefer such untidy places.

There is a lag in the food order as they are freshers

Really tasty food. Only was a bit more pricey. The pepper mutton was a highlight and yummy

Good restaurant to have food when u r travel on this way. Food is very tasty and pricing is moderate. However the time taken to serve the food is on higher side. There are parking facility for 7-10 cars. The complete area is designed with good art works and maintained neat and clean. Staffs are cordial too!

No AC. Sweats like anything during power outage. No.proper ventilation. No emergency power back up. Not enough lighting at the wash room area.

Worst experience. At first I asked for mushroom kadai, the bearer said there is no mushroom, then after a few minutes he came back and said there is mushroom. Then I ordered mushroom kadai. ”They brought me spoiled mushroom kadai and heated rice from the balance biryani rice. ”Even after complaining they were not ready to admit the problem from their side.

Clean place with thoughtful design and ambience. Great for riders for taking a break on the way. Nice food as well.

Our family of 6, including kids waited there for half an hour. Then a guy came and asked if we gave order.and he just vanished without taking the order. So we also quit the restaurant without giving the order.and starving

Very bad service.actually we have ordered for 4 chicken biriyani, 25 min later they said its not available. They can give only 3 chkn biriyani and 1 fried rice, again 5-7 min later she came and said " No fried rice, we can give u ghee rice". Finally they gave a dish fried chicken along with steamed rice, no biriyani ingredients-that's called BIRIYANI. Rice is not cooked well. With in that 25 min they were actually trying to prepare the dish. If it is not available, you should inform the customer. U r wasting our time.

I ordered porotta and chilly chicken. Smooth porotta. Chilly chicken is tasty. The interior is great. One gravy is for two people

Nice place for a break in NH66. Enjoyed a nice meal. Neat & hygienic place. Courteous staff. Excellent food.

Very poor experience.disappointed.their lunch is not good.the sambhar is all watery.poor service also.
But their fish curry is good when compared to other dishes.and if you are a person looking for a good meals dont ever choose this place.you will be disappointed.but for roaming persons it will be satisfactory

Visited the place for a quick meal on our journey. The ambience was good and the place being air conditioned was a welcome relief on a hot summer afternoon. The food we ordered was good but people can order better if they place out a menu card makes it easier for the customer to check out all the options available instead of trying to remember what the waiter just rambled out. Overall a must visit place for good food at reasonable prices and ambience to suit it.

Price is too high even though its a normal 3 star hotel. Also once i had fried rice its poor in taste and quantity. Try many other hotels in guruvayoor, chavakkad, orumanyoor region

Beautiful place. Really well designed. Food is reasonably inexpensive. A pretty place to hangout around. Food is good. Courteous staff. Excellent service. And after all Rumi adds to all the magic. Now is where love breathes.:)

Rumi name of a sufi master. Food and atmosphere is good at restaurant. Price is little high. And main negative part is the staffs. Staffs behaviour is pathetic. Please try to be little friendly and pleasant behaviour towards your customers. Its a great part of business. Thanks. I will not recommend this to my friends mainly because of staffs.
