Sagara Beach Resort

Pathetic staff, pathetic rooms, pathetic hotel with all over leakage and mold on the walls, hot water not available and no hygiene in the washrooms our rooms were stinking
We really regret booking Sagara resort for our vacation it really made our day worst only.had to call staff multiple times still no one came to resolve our issues.

Hotel is very good. Food is very delicious

We booked a standard room.at first they allocated very bad room where ac not working.room was like any normal lodge.with lot of discussion and after complaining to make my trip they allocated us a normal room.atleast ac was working.food was average prices were high.ovwrall non satisfied.

My recent experience at this hotel left much to be desired. The overall service was nothing short of pathetic, with a noticeable lack of attentiveness and responsiveness from the staff. The quality of food provided was disappointing, falling far below expectations. The staff members exhibited a sense of laziness, making the overall atmosphere less than welcoming.

Adding to the frustration, the absence of hot water was a significant inconvenience. The rooms, regrettably, did not meet even the basic standards of aesthetic appeal, leaving much to be desired in terms of comfort and ambiance.

Despite these drawbacks, the one saving grace was the hotel's location, which proved to be the sole positive aspect of my stay. It's unfortunate that the other aspects of the experience overshadowed this single redeeming feature.

It’s having a good experience to stay in south resort where gujarati food is a hinderance but here you will get best gujarati food with variety. We suggest this resort for stay and dine. Sea view is also an added advantage for this resort. Sure to recommend this resort.

The location is accessible to beach. Great view from the resort. Food is very meagre and overly compensated compared to the taste and quality. Rooms are very ambient and cozy. Great stay just the food thing needs to be fixed.

Had a very fine experience at the place. Co-ordinator Ashik was very much helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

Hotel needs a face lift. But none the less it has very good location near the beach (just 100m away).

Good place for recreation. Nice sea view, restaurant and food are beyond expectation. Not too expensive. Staffs are polite and customer friendly. Spa & massage areas are also there. A/c bar

This is a good property, because it's close to the beach, good breeze. A very good value for money property, Yet this can be improved.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOTEL A 0 STAR RATING, I WOULD. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE! This hotel is by far the worst experience i have ever had with any kind of lodging. First of all, be careful on which room you book because they only show pictures of the nicer, newer part of their hotel online. The part that we got stuck on was the filty, disgusting part with no view what so ever. (The two parts are separated by a patio and the pool for the newer part of the hotel. Sagara Resorts even went through all the trouble to separate the pool areas. Every part of the hotel had two different parts, one for the old and one for the new; restaurants, bars, elevators, pools. At least they have the same reception. Our room had bugs, ants, dirt, and dust all over the floor and the furniture. The room is filled with humidity and the smell of chlorine. When we turned on the fan, dust and dirt blew out of it. The bath towel were hard and crusty with spots of blood on them. Also, dont rely of having A/C because it is no where to be found around the hotel besides the room and it is so loud that you will not even be able to sleep. We ordered an extra bed becuase there were more than 2 people staying in the room. Instead, we got a 2 inch thick mattress that crunches when you step on it. They just put it on the ground without a frame or anything. I am pretty sure it was made out of tin foil and bubble wrap.thing has stains on it and it was the most uncomfortable thing to sleep on. Honestly, the floor would of been more comfortable than the mattress. Don't expect to get free WiFi either becuase you can only get it near the reception or the newer side of the hotel. The staff here is HORRIBLE as well. The people at the reception desk dont listen to you. We asked for extra towels 4 times and waited 1 hour to get them. The maids just walk in to your room without knocking. The restaurant staff gives you dirty looks when you ask for something. Next, the food was beyond horrendous. At the buffet, all the food was cold so we asked for it to be warmed up. After 25 minutes of waiting, it was still cold. It lacked flavor and even the water tasted like dish soap. The only thing that wasnt cold was ice cream, which was melting into soup while the staff just looked at it. Lastly, we asked for a beachfront view and this is what we got. A roof of god knows what and a couple of trees. Great job Sagra Beach Resorts! I would recommend not even to think about staying at this hotel. If you are somehow limited or forced into choosing this hotel, then be ready to pay up to stay in the newer part of the hotel. However, I really hope you choose a different hotel because this is the WORST "beachfront" vacation experience you will ever have.

Very good resort. Swimming pool is good. Kids enjoyed a lot. Very near to beach as they provided back door walking distance to beach. Food service is quick n serve tasty food.

This resort's rooms are average and restaurant is also below average look wise but food taste is not good for vegetarians. Also, there was live dosa counter which was also serving omelet using same utensils, Veggies should consider this before asking for dosa:). Also service in restaurant was slow and staff was taking time to bring item once consumed. Breakfast was ok but dinner (which we had twice was not tasty per say) we skipped other breakfast were entitled for.

Now for lunch, most items from Veg menu were not available. We had very limited choices and it was on the expensive side. They had sandwiches listed fro. Rs 150 to 250 and charged approx Rs150 for a glass of pineapple juice which would cost Rs 30 in market. Just a comparison of food price

Now to Resort amenities, they have two swimming pools which is also kids friendly. You can view ocean at distance but light house view is awesome from restaurant.
Staff was welcoming and willing to assist. No activities or sports you may expect was not available.

I am giving two star because veg items were not good since at the cost given we would expect better options and quality. Some of them were above average but most of them were there just to fill your belly willingly or unwillingly kind of thing.

The image attached is of bar which had better seating than restaurant, obviously.

Towels have blood on them, lint from fan when we turned it on, very humid, ac makes a lot of noise, and the room is very old and not updated. There are bugs everywhere Inside and there is no wifi in the second part of the hotel.rooms not as described in the pictures. The resort had hidden all pics of the old filthy part of the hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE. 3 workers came to clean our room gave us towels replaced trash and left without cleaning the floor that was dirty when we got there, replacing the sheets or fixing them or straightening the room. Half the food for all meals was cold (even the extra paid gala dinner), the bathroom water doesn't even come hot or consistently. DO NOT STAY HERE

Located close to ths light house beach. Rooms and food is average. Proximity to the beach is a added bonus. Catch this hotel if you get a good deal.

5) Kovalam:

The easiest way to get here is via Trivandrum airport and rail which is around 20 km away. A good resort placed at a great location over looking the lighthouse beach. Good rates and a very friendly staff who is always ready to help.

Disappointed with rooms comparing to the cost they charge. Bit older ones. Rest everything was okay.

Budget hotel, appeals to a different set of people and not for frequent travellers who have stayed in variety of places

Nice and cozy and amazing view. Very close to beach and it even has a book self to read in lobby so i was glad to have it. Apart from that rooms are little old build don't expect a key card. Sometimes monkeys might give you a visit in balcony so i suggest you leave the door to balcony closed if you don't want intruders. Some rooms have broken kettle to heat water so if you have kids it might be dangerous. Get it replaced by the as i did. Oh and yeah enjoy the suites.

Very very Bad Beach Resort, Reception Manager very bad manners, No know to how behavour with customer & also staff no responsible. Resort too much Old & no any maintainance done since last so many years.

Pl.do not book this resort to waste your money & time.

Very nice Resort. I loved this hotel very much. It's ambiance, it's service is very prompt. Everything is nice.

Ordinary place close to beach. It should come under cheapest hotels. They have a swimming pool. Breakfast is very ordinary. Location is good.

Showing different room giving different room.staff is worst. They are showing us water purifer and saying to fullfile the botle by our own. Staff is not showing or giving repect only. Staff is very lazy not giving proper answer and Serice also.

It's such a lovely beautiful place! Staff so friendly and helpful. Everything clean. Amazing view. And know dates loved a pool here. Food is Indian, a little spicy, but still tasty:) will recommend for sure to come here!

We resided at Sagara Beach Resort for 2 nights. Following are some points about it.

Pros -
1. The location of the resort is good. It's very near to the Havaa Beach and Kovalam Beach, and also to the lighthouse.

2. The room was good. Ours was a normal garden view room, but it turned out to be quite nice. The room service was good too.

3. The resort is big. It's got pool, good seating area, lounge etc. One can have a decent place to relax and spend time during day and night too.

Cons -
1. The food was ok. The breakfast had various items, but none of them were impressive. Even the ordered Dinner (Punjabi items) didn't have any richness.

2. The people working there had no clear idea of what's exactly their job was. They were not eager to serve the guest, and didn't pay attention to mishaps which were happening.

Also, if you decide to stay here, which you actually should, I hope no big groups check-in during the the time. These kind of groups really mess up the things, and disturb peace of everybody. And staff too won't care for you as they'll be busy attending them.

Overall, had a good experience.

Worst resorts we have ever come across. Resort Manager is a big liar. Firstly, resort will accept your request for services and later on non fulfilment, start lying before you as if you are at fault asking for services.

Beware of such fraudster! Please do not checkin even they are charging you less. They are going to spoil your mood for sure.

Worst hotel. Ac was not working properly after changing the room. The old room Ac was making noise, when we complain about it they are just ok sir we will do something. They were not providing any facilities. We call for tea saketes they will come after one hour. Staf was also not good. When we were complaining them they took it as granted. When we told them we didn't like the service they were like it depends on your view we can't do anything. They are not ashamed they were not able to fulfill our expectations.worst hotel i have ever vist to. There swimming pool timings were also odd. They start the pool at 9 then what about early risers. People here are too roam the state not to wait for full day they should make the time of morning atlest of 7 but the food quality is good. I like the food.

Worst hotel. Had an worst experience of all the hotel i have visited. Showing something different and giving something different. Staff here has worst attitude. Very poor service. Rooms quality is the worst. We had to change the room because of the quality of A. C.as it was making noise. After changing the room the A. C.was not giving us the proper cooling we had to sleep by using fans. Service is very poor. After 1 hour of telling about the room cleaning the person would come. The person sitting on the reception is very rude. The lobby was not proper we wanted see view but we couldn't. But the food quality was the best. Swimming pool was also a big problem. The timings were very odd. People here came to roam but they were unable to swim because of the timings that were clashing their roaming time and swimming time. The staff were not fulfilling our requirements. We asked them to fill our jug so they showed us the place to fill water.

Awsome place. Good and bigger rooms. Friendly staff and supportive.
Can take a beach view rooms.
Beach was very near and at walking distance.
Neat and clean beach called kovlam beach.
Hotel was well connected to highway as well for Trivendrum city and Airport.
Swimming pool was very good and ayurvedic massage facility also available foe tourist.
Big property and can enjoy sunset as well sitting at free time within premises.
Overall ok and god for family travellers.
