It's very nice place to start with yoga. People are nice and make you feel home. Food served during retreat is also great.

We had such an amazing stay at Sambodhi. Everyone was so lovely and helpful! We were complete beginners at yoga and Jessie was a fantastic teacher, John was an amazing host and organised a backwaters tour for us which was beautiful. Thomas was a fantastic site manager and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Molly is the best chef ever - the food was delicious! If you are looking for a peaceful retreat with yoga, good food, and lovely people Sambodhi is the place to go!

Wondering resort specially if you have a large group. We had stayed at the resort on 29th and 31st December 2022, group of 31 including children. Great place with the beach within a few minutes of walking distance. Good food, courteous staff and decent rooms for staying. Had a great time with families for a reunion. Decently priced as well. Could arrange few events as well within the resort for such a large crowd. One of the most quiet and less crowded beach as well.

Excellent location and great hospitality. A peaceful environment. Good choice for a budget stay, nothing luxurious. The basic cottage infrastructure needs to be improved a bit.

Good points: service was excellent and Thomas was very friendly and professional. Staff helped in all ways possible. Location is good as expected. They allowed us to extend our stay till evening on day of checkout as my parents had a train in the night and even shifted us to a better room without additional charge.

Not so good points: We were there for one night and we had two adjoining rooms which weren't beach facing but more river facing. The issue I faced was that river side had garbage (outside property). Property didn't have direct control on garbage, but may be they could put extra effort and hire people to get it cleaned. Definitely an eyesore.
Hygiene wasn't too great within the room or property area.
Limited food options as they don't have any cafe. But there's no close restaurant also and you need to order swiggy or Zomato if you want to have outside food or more options. They do prepare food if informed in advance, but within their limited menu. I must say they did try to accommodate our requests to the best. Nothing wrong with service definitely.
Water ran out at 4 am in bathroom and my father had to find someone in the resort to ask to get water. These small things can be improved.
Overall, I wasn't too happy with paying 3k per night per room for those two side rooms. These two rooms didn't even have their bathrooms separated completely and one can easily get distracted by talks in other room. However, we were same family, so we didn't mind much. There's no hot water available in rooms, but they do fetch bucket of hot water if asked. As we were there for only one night, it was ok overall.

The property location is good. Kind of like have a private beach.
Staff is good and accommodating. They even let us cook for our infant.
We did not order food one night but the manager did arrange us from restaurant when zomato was not available. Inhouse food is very good.
The people and place is nice 5 star for it.

But the current condition of infrastructure is not that good hence i reduced 2 stars. This place needs some renovation and maintenance to be done. Hopefully they will do some maintenance then it will be worth visiting again.

Perfect place to see and roam around the beach, you step out and you find the water beneath your feet! Calm and peaceful, good people, food and services. Wish to visit again)

Greetings! It was more precious rather than stay with a good people out there, MR thomas a kind gentleman a great human being! Foods was too good, safety’s is i say it will always be best to go this resort we are happy that our days spend there was memorable i hope it may suit for other families out there…

The resort is very beautiful property with good landscape and beach is very near to the property. The staffs are very cooperative and provide excellent service. It is a very beautiful place to visit with family and friends.

Sambodhi was such a wonderful experience! Very simple resort for a nice family getaway. It is located right on Thumpoly beach, with such great ambience. Manager Thomas was very friendly and helpful in making our stay comfortable! Food was also commendable, very tasty and authentic made by Molly. I also loved the fact that we were able arrange a Yoga session with Jessy Ma'am.

Unfortunately this place was not what we expected. We stayed in the cottage directly at the beach, this place also has other rooms, but this rating is only based on our experience at the beach cottage, because we didn't stay in the other rooms.
The location is very good, therefore the place deserves one star. Another star it deserves for the extraordinarily friendly and helpful caretaker Thomas. However, besides of this there was nothing good about our stay. The cottage and especially the bathroom were quite dirty with a lot of insects and there were rats in the roof. We could hear them running around and scream during the night. Also, because of that, additional dirt fell down on the bed from the ceiling during the night. Furthermore, the roof was leaking and water came into the room while there was rain. On top of that the high charges of 2500 rupees per night! We had planned to stay for four nights, but we couldn't take it and left after one night.

Such a pleasure atmosphere, services also too good, reasonable prices, separate private beach and located at prime area.
Must preferable to stay.

It's a simple and yet feel good place. You get secluded beach view from the cottage for relaxing in the weekend. Food is good. Courteous staff.

Excellent homely rustic and friendly atmosphere with all basic amenities. Great food and it was lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city with an excellent owner ready to help out in any way he can!

The Serenity, sound of waves enhance the exhilarating ambience of the resort, It has also got an intense Yoga session for those who desire to avail of it. A must visit for nature lovers.

Excellent Service and ambiance. This property is right there at the sea shore also at the Clean beach. Manger Thomas was very humble and took care of everything you may need as a traveller without even you asking for it.also they serve fresh and home like food. Loved and enjoyed my stay here.

Everything was so peaceful and amazing!
Staff was thoughtful and kind, food was incredibly tasty and the global atmosphere was just all you can dream of when you are looking to take some time for yourself. Far from traffic, clean and surrounded by small fishermen villages, this place is a small heaven in itself. Perfect to practice yoga, meditate and enjoy the sea breeze at the same time!
The small cottages have a special charm, with wooden doors and furnitures, that give authenticity and character to the rooms.

Have been to this place multiple times and it hasn't disappointed me even once. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is amazing and the view is beautiful.

We hosted my brothers marriage here and it was great experience. The manager and staffs were so welcoming. Since the property being beach side, all the guest was able to enjoy their time. Anyone could host a decent wedding reception with covid protocol in this resort.

It is like to have your own private beach in a simple, peaceful, relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. We had a pleasant stay in your resort two weeks back and we take this opportunity to convey our gratitude and thanks to all staff and management of the Sambodhi Yoga retreat.

Truly a unique experience. The food, the service, the view, everything was top-notch. All the staff were really friendly and we felt like we're important there and that is rare to find these days. Highly recommended.

Really Awesome. For the longest time I have been wanting to experience a wholesome holiday experience and that's when a couple of days back I went to the Sambodhi Yoga retreat. I personally am very much happy with the service provided- the whole ambiance, the food, the most beautiful sunset, the yoga sessions, fishing and many more? The time spent at the retreat I believe will always be a happy memory.
