Satta Beach Residence

I stayed in Satta at my Trip to Varkala. Got a warm Welcome with smiling faces which was an unforgettable memory. Had two deluxe room with sea view which was awesome to stay with family. Breakfast was very delicious. A must visit place at Varkala which is perfectly maintained and well managed.

Pathetic and unhygienic rooms. Poor service and rude staff. Not worth the money. There were insects all over the place. No in-house kitchen or meal service. Photos online are very different than actual hotel condition.

I have been to varkala resorts several times and never had such a bad experience from any of the other resorts. The experience was very bad, i have been there to enjoy a weekend with my friends and the whole trip were spoiled because of this resort, paying a high amount the resort and the service provided are not even worthy for ₹1000 per day, even the small lodges in trivandrum provide mush better service, The staffs were not available in the reception and the attitude of the staffs were more irritating, there is no power and Air conditioning also have problems, no power backup like generator or invertors there.we faced such horrible stay in varkala If you are looking for a peaceful vacation pls don't chose this resort.

The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. If you are looking for a peaceful hotel to spend your weekend then its best choice.

Satta (1) Surreptitiously cancelled my booking via email 3 days before arrival, under the pretext of asking for payment but provided no details for such payment and (2) continued to not answer calls. They are extremely unprofessional and have been a nightmare to interact with.

It was nice place to enjoy. I visited with my friends and enjoyed a lot. The room service and everything things were cool.

We stayed here over the weekend for 3 days and 3 nights. We were quite disappointed with the services. It was pretty odd that we had to pay the whole amount at check -in and post that the services we recieved were unsatisfactory. The staff was never available at the reception. No one informed us about breakfast and the timings. The room was not very clean (dirty sheets and towels) and the bathroom also had a funny smell that wouldn't go away. We also had to keep reminding the staff to come and clean our room and we recieved these services only once through our stay. Disappointed with the management and maintenance of the place.

Perfect hideaway place just 1 min walk from the best beach in Varkala) picturesque and quite area, the pool is veeery enjoyable)

A memorable stay for sure. The resort is totally worth it except from some powercuts which usually last for few minutes. The staff, mainly Abhay, Sangeet and Aromal are extremely courteous, helpful and jolly wearing smile on the faces whenever you notice them and vice-versa all the time and will make sure that you don't face any problems whilst your stay here. The non-alcoholic drinks of Satta are a must try thing, especially blue lagoon. Beach distance is about 200mts walkable and there is a nearby place to dine in and order at room which serves excellent food as well. All in all, a wonderful stay and recommended.

It is located 3km away from varkala cliff. Had a very relaxed stay. Great service and cleanliness. Special appreciation to Mr. Adarsh. Lovely building, calming greenery and serene pool.

Had a brilliant stay. Cannot fault hotel becz it was neat, clean, in a good location, served a great breakfast and the staffs were extremely helpful, especially the manager Mr. Adarsh who seems to be very friendly and polite to the guests. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again.

NEGATIVE REVIEW

A Deulex and double Deulex were booked after seeing the images send by the hotel. Booked the rooms for 3.5k and 4k.
On 7th May 2022 we reached there and checked in, the AC in the room wasn't working properly from the time we reached. We had asked them to do the needful and they did respond soon but there was no changes. Then at night again there was the same issue, after reporting thrice, they shifted us to another room but still the AC had the same problem. We paid 4k for that particular room for a day.

Secondly when we entered to have a shower as soon as we reached suddenly water stopped coming and we had to call and report the same. This same issue happened thrice. They don't check if water is always available.

Rooms were kept neat and washroom was also neat but the high price isn't worth it for this stay especially after facing so many issue after paying so much.

I would recommend the hotel to do the needful and I would like to give a heads up before anyone books a room with them. We were dissatisfied with the stay.

I was supposed to come on 2nd to stay at this place but due to certain circumstances I was not able to reach on 2nd, and from my end as soon as I found out this was happening I kept calling them to know as I had paid an advance of 5000 to reserve my booking as requested by the owner. And now he has canceled my stay for the rest of the other two days as well it is not fair for me to find a stay at the last moment and it’s my bday as well on the 3rd thanks for such a bad experience

Extremely unprofessional behaviour. Not expected from a property like this. Took an advance and now cancel our booking and refuse to pay our advance back. Totally unfair

Stayed here for 3 days on a trip with friends. The location is great as it is only a 5 min walk to the Odayam beach. We preferred to stay in a non-commercial area so Satta was perfect for us. The room, room service, pool was excellent. The hosts there were very helpful is finding us transport and other amenities we required. Service was very humble. Will go here again!

This place is sooo beautiful. With the small plunge pool and it is totally canopied with a tree. Which makes it so pleasant to sit outside even during the noon.
I don't think they serve any food. We had to order from a nearby restaurant.
Rooms are not that great but have all the necessary amenities.

Not the best one in Varkala, but the best under the cheapest price.
It doesn't have a super beach view. But they provide a greater ambience it doesn't make us feel bad.

The rooms were very bad and not as per the pictures.it is very small.even the complementary breakfast not sufficient.the pool is good when visited as a group.

But it will be the worst booking as a couple.no privacy at all.

This place has spoiled our trip experience. Food is very unhygenic. And behaviour of the manager is rude.

We stayed 3 nights at Satta. The garden and pool area is nice, cozy and it's great as a shady hangout place. There isn't much sun shining on the garden though, as the area is covered by a huge beautiful fig tree. The breakfast is good, satisfying, and there are several options (pancakes, fried eggs on toast, Dosa, or fruit yoghurt and cereals). The staff is not particularly friendly or very helpful. We arrived at night, at about 10pm, and were welcomed in a way that felt as if we were a nuisance. We didn't get many recommendations on what to do, or asked if everything was ok, if we needed anything. The bungalows are nice but you can hear everything at night (insects, squirrels, other animals) and they're hot. The location is ok if you prefer to stay away from the main Varkala area. The hotel is located 5-8 mins walk from Odayam beach, north from Varkala. If you walk 30 mins you can arrive to Varkala beach.

Four stars for a two and a half star hotel. Rooms are basic but clean. Also available wooden chalets in garden but they do not have a/c. Friendly and helpful staff especially Unni for trip advice. Would return here if coming back to Varkala.

Horrible to say the least. The images online are deceiving. They say sea view eco bungalows. But there is nothing of that sort. Rooms are conjusted. Complimentary breakfast is not worth it. There is restaurant in the property as they claim. Varkala beach is far off from this place.

Warning. Its nothing like the pictures they post online. They say they have 2 pools but the fact is its nothing more than a fish tank. They have goons in the property who literally theaten you when you ask questions.had to cancel the booking after i visited the place. Not safe for people who visit with family. We almost had to call the cops for our safety. The owner doesnt care. And the most funny part is that you have to use the pool and walk a kilometer back through public roads! They call more people to ensure that that threaten the safety of your family! Please take due care.

Pictures of the property are quite deceiving. Don't go by them. It's just a home stay with non spacious rooms and no direct accessibility to the beach. Breakfast that is included in the price is just a eyewash. Overpriced and not worth the pictures on display. Eco bungalows are not sea view nor are sea facing.

Great place for a weekend getaway. Well maintained room and friendly staff. The location is a 10 mins walk along the Coastline from the cliff.

The place is a little far from the cliff and the beach. The stay was pleasant. Service was good. The room had a vintage vibe to it which I liked. Pricing is on the lower side too. They have a plunge pool which is a highlight. Scooters are available for rent.

The eco cottages are cramped.the pool was dirty.no restaurant and its quite a long way from the beach. Very much different from wht u see on their website. Wouldnt recomend.

A calm and quiet place. We stayed at the Satta Eco cottage. Cute wooden cottages under shade trees, along with a cute pool. There are non Ac cottages, but the weather was cool. Had a pleasant stay. Helpfull staff, delicious breakfast. The main satta building located at a walkable distance has great rooma and a big pool. Good privacy

If u r looking for a resort experience i would advice against this. But if u prefer a more close to nature feel, then go for it.

The deluxe has no privacy at all. The walls are small and pool is very much visible for the whole neighborhood
Eco has very small pool, but better privacy

Do not recomend it is very far from the beach and at night its very difficult to reach the beach and main cliff, more over for cancelling the room they charged us 1000 bucks

Very nice bungalows, the manager is very helpful and friendly. You will stay just 2 Mon walking from the beach, no crowded like in varkala. A nice, clean and beautiful beach coast.

It's a cozy place around 3 km from the North Cliff and the beach. Absolutely loved it. In a nutshell, clean rooms and washrooms, value for money, simple but fresh breakfast, quiet green place with it's own cute swimming pool! Strongly recommend it. The only drawback if I really have to give one is it's not right at the beach but 3 km away from it.
PS: like the other places at varkala, this one also doesn't have a TV in the room but a good collection of books!

We had booked Eco bungalow with sea view, since we had 2 kids once we reached there they said the rooms are too small and there are mosquito all around since the whole place is filled with plants, we upgraded to their deluxe room with AC little away from the Eco bungalow.very spacious room, it was a new building it was very clean and they had a beautiful pool which the kids loved so much that all the 4 days they were in the pool, Anand and Unni were very helpful and helped us with a bike for 4 days for hire to travel around.we extended the room for one more day, since they could not arrange in the same building, they moved us to Kattil beach resort which is right opposite, room there was ok.but since we had our late check-out they gave us the room till 4.30pm. Satta also let us use their pool for the next 2 days till we checked out from Kattil.
Pro's: Very clean, people are very helpful n friendly, swimming pool, close to beach
Con's: Breakfast was organized in blue water resort for the deluxe room which was ok, Eco bungalow had good breakfast, Could not extend the room since it was fully booked, no hot water.after we left they we're installing the Solar, Power cuts quite often.hopefully by next time they will be ready with everything since it's a new building.

Would recommend this property for pool n beach which is close by.

Perfect holiday. Well maintained little pool. Staff are friendly. Should work on the sign - boards to the resort. Also, a note on the restrictions in the usage of electricals and smoking inside the room.
