Shappu Curry

It's a good hotel at Chittoor road, south end at Ernakulam and is famous for its fish items for lunch. Here the curries are prepared as the traditional one in olden toddy shops and hence the name shappu curry.the meals served in banana leaf and all curries are good.

Kerala style vazhayila meals with kallushap taste. I had Kalanchi curry for rs 280. And one Beff roast.

For those who are looking for naadan kerala dishes like Meen Curry, Thala curry, Karimeen pollichathu, chemmeen etc.this is the best place. They are not cooking the food here, bringing it from their own kitchen outside. It's in an old Kerala House, not having the atmosphere of a hotel

If you are looking for authentic fish curry meals at a modest rate.this place is for you. I loved the fish curry dishes there.

People are very friendly.
Other than fish curry meals, Appam and chapathi are available. Most dishes are priced very reasonably. Chemmeen fry is a must try, though not available everyday.

Food is Ok. Medium rate for the dishes. Quality of rice used has to be improved. Felt like cheap quality.

Main issue is that the hygiene of the hotel is of poor standards. One among the worst hygiene standards i have experienced these days. Not at all recommended for family especially with kids

The hotel is a home turned hotel setup. The service is good but the ambience is very poor.

I had 1 lunch and a fish fry. It was worth for 140 together. I got the same home feeling taste!
