After Covid, I visited the Daba again. The generation change feels in behavior and service. Earlier when they where running the restaurant at main road, the owner who were sitting at the reception, having a smile and welcoming face. Now I believe it's his son, an arrogant guy. I wish to remind them one thing that - You are providing food by taking some cost, and your intention must be the satisfaction of consumer. Earlier it was there very much and that's why you grown to new place. But now when Money - Kali stand in front of you, you are forgetting your hereditary and primary responsibility. IF YOU MAKE YOU CONSUMER HAPPY AT PAR, THEIR BLESSINGS WILL BE ALWAYS WITH YOU. IF NOT, THEN THE FOOD SIN WILL TAKE YOU TO HELL.
Though the food quality is quite well, but " White Rice with Black Face" will not give you milage.
First and foremost, their parking space is commendable. Finding a spacious parking area at a restaurant is a rarity, and this place certainly delivers on that front.
The quality of the food is top-notch. They specialize in Punjabi cuisine, and every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and authenticity. It's true that the prices are slightly on the higher side, but the taste and quality of the food make it entirely worth it.
The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and courteous, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
It's important to note that this restaurant caters exclusively to vegetarians. If you're a vegetarian, you're in for a treat with their Punjabi dishes.
Lastly, for Malayali diners looking for a change or variety in taste, I would highly recommend trying this place. It offers a unique and delicious alternative to the local flavors. Overall, a great restaurant with ample parking, superb food, and excellent service – definitely worth a visit, especially if you're craving Punjabi cuisine.
Iam regular customer at this dhaba. The food is really delicious at a reasonable rate. They provide a lot of North Indian varieties. Purely vegetarian food. Perfect place for North Indian vegetarian food lovers
Food is OkOk. From Kerala point of view as a Punjabi dhana it might be ok. But the naans and rotis are too chewey. Sabzis don't have taste. Ordered sev tomato and paneer bhurji. Paneer bhurji was palatable whereas in sev tomato the tomatoes were raw.
Very bad experience, Low quality and very low quantity. Rotis are good, but Naan and subjis are low quality. Quantity of subjis are very very low not even a single person can dine with one portion of subji. You can see subjis rate range from Rs 15 to Rs 165 even the most priced dish is very low in quantity.
Very bad food compared to old one in main road. Now shifted to new building opposite. Indian breads served cold not freshly made Naan made of atta which was not informed while order, gravies quantity got reduced which is not worth for the money compared to taste. All gravies base was same almost. Only thing ceramic plates, glasses added to showcase the new restaurant, but not well worth for the the food Dated feb14th 2021. Rating now. 1/5
They dont serve well and serve right. If they dont know recipe then they serve something else and shamelessly justify themselves and charge you for the actual dish. Also, their own people are giving 5 star rating otherwise most of the customers aren't happy with the services. So if you love your money then dont waste that here. You are not welcome.
Most authentic homely North indian food I have tasted in trivandum. It's not the jazzy restaurant food that people might expect. I can understand some of my friends from Kerala not satisfied with the taste. But this is exactly how it would feel to eat from a dhaba while traveling down NH2. The food is meant for stomach and soul. Simplicity of the meal is so staggering that people might just not notice it's authenticity. A place to visit when you miss good simple old fashioned authentic dhaba food.
My experience is, the taste is not consistent. I had aloo paratha, phulka, Gobi from there. It was really nice one time and only average another time. Good thing is that it offers food in an affordable price.
Good food but expensive when compared to nearby restaurants I will prefer you to go to ramji bhojnalaya for having better north indian food at more affordable rates
Sharma's Punjabi Dhaba - The best place to have the north Indian dishes at Trivandrum. Most of the north Indian foods are available, good and neat ambience. Price is also affordable.
Surroundings does not match with the taste they are providing. U can get authentic North Indian food at preferable affordable rate. If the attire of servings staffs are improved and surroundings take care of, ratings has the potential to surge up to 4.4
Authentic north indian food at affordable rates. Their jeera rice, peas curry is just out of the world. Must go to place if you like north indian foods.
Great North Indian restaurant offering most of the usual north Indian dishes. One of the few places providing authentic north dishes in this part of India. Dont enter expecting a high class restaurant. Its a middle class restaurant but is hygeinic and neat. Prices are like most north Indian restaurants in Kerala where a decent meal for 2 would cost in and around Rs 300. Located very close to Trivandrum city's railway and Ksrtc bus station. Usually closes around 10. Not over congested, but you will find the place 80% full in peak hours
It's very hot inside this hotel. They should've put AC. The dishes were costly. But the food is tasty. One drawback is that we'll get only little amount of curry in one order (eg: Chilli Gobi for Rs. 80). It taught me a lesson that, 'The taste of food itself cannot hold someone to a hotel. There are other factors'.
Clean and fit. They uses brass and steel utensils for their cooking. If im right they are using less masalas available on market.i mean they are on more traditional way.
Though the aumbiance might be lacking, the food more than makes up for it. You WILL NOT regret a meal from here and it will keep you coming back for more.
Place is hot in the afternoon. Breads are good. Gravies tend to be spicy. Service is quick. Servers aren't very clean in their attire. Food is tasty overall
Taste is good. Service may be improved. Quantity according to the price is not upto the mark may be they should give a little more. Cool shakes and drinks also availbale here. It's very near by the trivandrum station at a walkable distance at the aristo junction.
An inexpensive Vegetarian restaurant, right at the Aristo junction. They serve a variety of curries, dal, rotis and rice. The service is very fast but the ambience is average.
Bad food. Worst service. The service was soo bad, they were cutting onions in the dinning area despite of the fact that it was inconvenience to the costomers. Also they never give u anything (not even pickle, tissue or sauce) unless u all for it.
NOT AT ALL WORTH THE MONEY. Aloo paratha is 40, it neither have much filling it nor tast aldo it do not come with curd or pickles. U have to by them separately for 25 bucks. Tomato rice tasted like noodles ka masala. Allround not satisfied or full.
Not worthy as per the hype. Went there for the much boasted paneer butter masala and it was only average. Also only 2,3 pieces per plate. If u r planning as a group. Then should order more as the quantity is low. Average food
