I and my husband had been to munnar in October 2023. We stayed in SMM cottage and found this on trivago. Guys it's not one of those fancy hotels as most travel influencer show in their insta ID.
But believe me it is budget friendly as well as easily accessible as it is near old buststand munnar. Staff here is well behaved and helpful, Mr Delfin was ready to help us anytime needed. We planned for 2 day trip but ended staying for 5 days.view from the hotel is awesome and is provided with necessary amenities. Its a 5 from us.
If anyone of you ever visit munnar try staying here,

See it has great location in old munnar and has nice rooms only thing they needs to work on is room service.

It is located in a very good area.
In front of the Munnar bus stand, rooms are very good and affordable.
There are plenty of restaurants and food outlets for all types of people.
Bike rental is also at walkable distance.
They provide wifi but the best part is all mobile networks are very good here, especially Jio (i was getting upto 80mbps) so no worries with the internet if you want to work from here.

In short, If you are a budget travel traveler this is the place for you.

Budjet hotel. Recommended for bachelors. Bedsheet and pillow have stains. Bathroom was ok ok. Don't expect much. Location is ok just near to ksrtc stand.

It was a nice room. Budget priced rooms, very close to Munnar ksrtc bus stand. I got the room very cheap price. Rs 800 rent for one day. Rent varies according to season. Dining is available at the nearby തട്ടുകട and the restaurants. The view from the top of the building at night view is beautiful

2-3 restaurant are avilable in 2-3 minutes walkable distance.

Bathroom shower was broken and they couldn't fix it. I had to leave and find another hotel in the late evening.

Very good for the price.
Helpful staff, quiet rooms, hot water.
Plus they organise all kinds of trekking and visits.

I recommend it if you're on a budget.

Rooms were decent. 24 hrs hot water supply. Wifi is free although at times it gets disconnected. Super easy check in and check out. Thanks to Mukesh.

The rooms are very clean and good. The view from the hotel is amazing. There is a point uphill from the road which leads to the hotel with amazing views as well the tea plantations is very close too. Room service is good. An amazing experience overall.

Hotel is too good in terms all services and the point of contact person so polite and so helpful in guiding the tourist. Price is also not too high.

Location is very good. Opp this cottage you have Good Annapurni restaurant, Latha supermarket, small grocery shop, one chocolate and spice shop, Ksrtc bus stand. This is located in Moolakadai Auto stand, very closer to cloud valley Hotel. Price wise budget friendly. Two bedroom provided to us didn't have cupboard, small mirror All things we had to keep scattered in room.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Nearby ksrtc bus stand. Very affordable and the room had a balcony with mountain view. The owner Mr. Shakti was friendly and helpful and so are his associates - very polite, responsive and helpful staff️ 24*7 hot water is there. I traveled solo and loved it ️ Worth it. ️

P. S If you are traveling as family, then you may not find cupboards in the room and food isn't provided here but you have plenty nearby.

The hospitality is very good but the rooms aren't that great. However, with manageable room you can have budget experience. Can definitely be an option if you're looking for a cheap and decent experience.

I stayed here today, a hotel near Munnar ksrtc, clean and well staffed. I recommend this hotel to anyone who comes here.

Nice stay, Everything is good inside the room if you get front view rooms. Landline phone in the room does not work but owner is available on mobile in case of need.

Located 10 min auto ride from the main bus stand, just beside tea gardens.
The rooms were very clean, with great views from the balcony which was shareable at the end of corridor.

They had kitchen for self service, but the staffs were very prompt & helpful.

Such a nice place to stay they will take care off your little little thing and arange the things you need also advise you for your trip with a big smile

Excellent stay in Munnar, happily book it without even thinking twice. Sakthi who is the owner will help you with everything around Munnar. I will surely return here.

They bluff with clients. Never rent vehicles from this place. Dont even have manners to talk to their customers. Many other great rentals could be found near by but never try this

We stayed with family for 1 night being charged with 3500 for 2 rooms. No towels or soaps were provided. Taps were leaky and bathroom door lock was broken. Due to leaky taps entire water was empty in tank by morning and we had to call housekeeping boy to switch on the motor. All bedspreads and pillows were stinky and least bothered to change it even after multiple request.
We were scared of carying diseases due to these uncleanliness back to Bangalore.

I hired car from SMM cottage and driver was very helpful and really a soft spoken person. He shown us each and every place throughout the journey and was there always on time. He helped us in lifting up the luggage on each and every stop and always took us to good food place. I really enjoyed my journey

It was a nightmare to us. Staffs have no sense of hospitality, disrespectful and dishonest behavior. All they care is money. For any assistance we have to call them 4 to 5 times. There were issues related to changing of bedsheets, pillows and bedspread. They don't even clean the bedsheets and pillows. Bedsheets and bedspread was torn and smelling very bad. No matter how many ever times we inform staffs don't care and never turn up. No soap and towels provided. Ever for drinking water they said "wait sir" when we checked in and till check out they never gave water. We had to literally fight with the staffs for water as they promised from 6 am onwards we will get hot water however to our dreadful shock there was no hot neither cold water. Would never recommend this stay to any.

Nice place for staying. It is a budget friendly hotel. Not so luxurious. Cleaned room and bathroom. We booked it at a cost of 600 rupees per night. Hot water is available all-time.

Cons. They will provide only a single small soap for your whole staying. Everytime you have to ask to supply water. They will clean your room when you check out. You can watch only some free channels and two, three paid channels on tv.

Neat and clean room with friendly staff. Small Budget rooms for family. Stayed 2 days. Only thing is less space for car parking.

Good location, close to restaurants and there are always autos waiting outside to take your round Munnar. They do charge tourists prices though so be ready to bargain.

The place is very close to bus stand and has a nice view outside. Rooms are clean.hot water is available all day. But there is no place to put your luggage or shoes or anything.only a bed and a desk with a chair is provided. Towel are one per person for any number of days the guest stays. Water is somewhere inside which only the room service can find. They are overworked and hence service is slow.

Hotel is near to ksrtc bus stand. Room s lit bit small. Nd very clean toilet also very clean. Staff's are very good dealings. Hot water s full tym. Wifi also available

Only problem was that the single rooms had no bathroom inside but for people travelling in group it's an idle location to fresh up and rest.

This place is very near to munnar bus stand. You can get auto from here to go to munnar town. 2nd floor rooms are very good compare to 1st floor rooms. Rooms and bathrooms are very good. Neat and clean. In TV most of the hindi channels are not sibscribed, so if you want to watch TV then you have to settle with only few channels. I have uploading the pics taken by me. Overall good place. Cheap in price. Budget friendly.

Good stay. Rate is ok with facilities like free WiFi, hot water, nice comfy bed. The room which I took had balcony which was good.
