Visit only if you have faith in faith (god). You have to be a spiritually inclined soul to derive maximum benefit from the visit. Others can enjoy the artistic treasures instilled in the stone carvings and pillars. I have been a regular visitor here for over fifty years and during every visit I get new messages from the Lord very relevant to my physical existence; giving me the message that nothing ii this world is static and everything keeps evolving at breakneck speed. In this turbulence, "He" maintains the equilibrium and keeps us protected. So is the message He conveys to his devotees.

Very good religious feeling after visiting this 5,000 year old temple. The temple has two lines, one Rs 20 entrance, and the other special darshan of Rs 500.

The temple is amazing but you won't be able to view the idol properly as it's very dark and due to rush unable to spend time infront of the idol.
Similar to other temples outside there is charge for everything and which is costly. Better buy a white dhoti from the outside market and keep your stuff inside the vehicle as nothing is allowed in the temple except the wallet or small bag from ladies.

Dont buy special ticket here. You have to wait in the long queue and inside the temple special and general lines are merged together. So no special treatment there. Pandits will force you to leave the temple after 1 sec darshaan. No system to perform puja infront of the idol.

Sacred temple of Lord Vishnu. Dhoti is mandatory for gents and sarees / salwar suits is mandatory for ladies. Watch the the darshan timings (mentioned outside the temple) to avoid long waiting time.

Very old Hindu temple …. Must visit place once In ur life time … men’s should wear dhothi with out shirt and ladies in sarry otherwise they will not allow u in to temple.

This is the worst temple I have visited so far. No hospitable people over here. All poosaris are rude. We have waited sooo long to enter the temple. We went in general dharisan, the line was big and when the closing time came they suddenly closed. We were soo close to see the perumaal. It was unfair. They should have let us in. Also outside lot of police will be there with guns. Even if we click a photo outside they will snatch our phones and delete the picture. Like what's there taking pictures outside. The closing time in Google is wrong. They'll close by 7: 30 pm sharp. If u want na you can dharisan after 8: 45 but you have to pay for that. No free dharisan at that time. It's ridiculous. They are the richest temple but still looting innocent people.

Peaceful mind

The temple is situated near to Trivandrum Central. The architectural beauty and divinity fill your mind with positivity and peaceful thoughts. Ladies should wear Saari or Dhothi over the dress in case of other dresses and men should wear Dothi to get into the devin temple.

We were thoroughly humbled upon visiting the temple. The sole feeling of gratitude came when we were inside the temple. Some rules are always needed and they should be followed. The Murti darshan is an amazing experience.

It was my second visit after a long time and boy, it's changed, I brought offerings, but it was not enough, a priest there bullied my daughter for a dakshina.ie money, we paid up front to make the offering, but then when we went inside and another priest demanded money before they would place the offering before the altar, no archana, till you pay them again directly inside, from a sacred place to just another commercial enterprise, it maybe the wealthiest temple, but the priests are demanding touts rather than in the service of God, if you are a tourist or want to tuck it off your bucket list, don't miss it, the place is spectacular, but the staff there (I won't demean the profession by calling them priests) are atrocious, if you are a follower of the faith.go elsewhere, it's meant to be a royal temple, but from the attitude, maybe the royals have either fallen on hard times, or have become the latest converts to Mammon. PS- not very clean either.

Very commercial. Pathethic queue management. You lose the feeling once you reach sanctum Santorum. I saw the temple people shouting at each other due to confusion.

Beautiful. Before you visit, please follow the dress code as they won't allow without dress code. And also see the timings, as it opens in morning for three hours and evening for 2 hrs, so plan it accordingly, expect rush always.

Temple of Lord Vishnu. High Security. Gents are not allowed to wear pants or shirt inside. You can wear only Dhoti. Ladies can wear saree only. But there is provision to buy Dhotis in the premises which you can wear over any clothes and enter the temple.

Lovely temple but not well run. The temple authorities just loot people in the name of worship. No proper protocols are followed for devotees and the staff are a bunch of lazy folks. Can do better!

There is a positive vibe around the auspicious Sri Padmanabha Temple, the mystical Vishnu Temple where the Ananta Sayan has been depicted in a Grand life size. You need to change your rob into traditional Dhoti to get inside the temple. These robs are easily available near the temple gate through authorised vendors at a nominal price. Not much crowded with divine atmosphere around. A must visit temple for pilgrimage.

We travelled from Bangalore to visit this temple. Very nice and well organised temple. Reached the temple at morning 6.30am, so did not found any issues with parking. Dress code is mandatory. Mundu for men and sarees for women. If you don't follow dress code, then entry won't be allowed

Must go for architect lover and also for common people. Belongs to the Kingdom of ancient India. Now under temple trust. Entry in temple by special cloth dhoti for gents and saree for ladies. No churidar allowed if worn wrap it with dhoti then ok allowed. Gents have to go naked upper body no option. No camera and mobile allowed at all.

Feels good to be here, good temple and everything.

They don’t allow pants and shirts, we have to wear lungi and nothing above waist. But we can buy lungi there and keep all stuff in cloak rooms. Every entrance has cloak rooms, the main entrance is East Entrance where we can get photos. If driver drops to other door, ask them to drop ti main as walking is too long from one entrance to other.

They just allow wallet with you because they ask 50₹ for quick line, and only allow normal line after 5.30 PM. Which seemed bad for richest temple in world.

Everything is perfect, it's a very big temple, it looks like a small temple from outside, but the articheturure was amazing. The temple is very famous for underground treasurers but if you enter into the temple you find any kind of stuff. Even a single pendrive also not allowed into temple, only tredetional ware allowed. Doti for men&kids saree for women. All those clothes are available in front of temple.

The worst management in any tmple in India is overhere. Trivandrum is the place in India where you get the worst treatment by upper caste people. Avoid visiting this place at any cost

The most iconic place in Kerala is this age old wealthiest temple of Lord Mahavishnu. The Dravidian architecture amazes us through out the temple from small sculptures to the deity of Mahavishnu on the giant snake. The vijayanagara styled gopuram is another attraction. Since the temple is near to Railway and bus station, journey will not be a big deal as you will easily get buses to East Fort where the temple actually is. Timing of the darshan will be available online and the rush depends on season and day.

It is great temple to visit. The breeze inside the temple is just so good. That is one thing i most liked about the temple.

Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is one of the most sacred temple Dedicated to Maha Vishnu. Bhagwan Parasurama purified & venerated the idol of Sree Padmanabhaswamy in Dvapara Yuga. According to Historians the temple was established on the 1st day of Kaliyuga (5121 years ago or 3102 BCE). On the 950th year of Kali Yuga (2152 BCE) reinstallation of the idol was done. In the 960th year of Kali yuga (2142 BCE) King Kotha Marthandan built the Abhisravana Mandapam. This temple was later renovated & expanded by many rulers.

Brahma Purana, Matsya Purana, Varaha Purana, Skanda Purana, Padma Purana, Vayu Purana, Bhagavata Purana & the Mahabharata mentions this shrine.

What an embarrassment! Firstly, foreign hindus are charged more and non-hindus are not welcome. This in itself is weird if you believe God is universal. The place is like a cattle farm. You get pushed and shoved past the deity, which you barely get a glimpse of, while the Brahmin priests shout in your ear to move on. Behind you, the poorer people are herded like animals behind a rope and clamber to get a view (ie you can get 'closer to god' if you pay more). The brahmins act like little gangsters and are only interested in is the contents of your wallet, rather than your spiritual growth. The place is dirty, noisy and crowded. It's such a shame because the amazing architecture and the fascinating history of the site are completely overshadowed by the behavior of the people. The irony is that the local shopping mall is cleaner and the people are better behaved. Just goes to show that there is only one true religion in India and that's cash.

Very beautiful temple. Best to have darshan of the Lord Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is in the evening 4pm. You will be able to see the Lord from near.

Only 10 percentage of the people who visit Lord Padmanabha are successful in seeing his face fully well. This is because the sreekovil still is lit by traditional oil lamps and it requires 2 minutes of concentration for anyone with eyes wide open to see the sleeping Lord clearly.

A divine place. Popular in Trivandrum. You can see lord vishnu in three door in a sleeping position, there is also krishna temple inside. This is the only temple I could see beach sand inside the temple. Some restrictions are followed in the temple for a very long time. For men, you should wear only dothi or mundu and a shawl or angavastram no shirt, if you are wearing a pant then also you have to cover it with dothi or mundu. You can get mundu in the cloak for Rs. 100 and angavastram for Rs. 30. For ladies should wear saree or half saree, if you come in other dresses you should wear dothi too. No electronics devices are allowed.

The temple is located very close to railway station and bus stand. Air port too is located in a decent distance from here
Make sure that your morning darshan does not clash with the time dedicated to Travancore royal family

Apart from the riches found here, this is a fantastic place to visit. Seeing the 18ft diety of श्री पद्मनाभनस्वामी is an out of the world experience. You wont get to see the treasure vaults as they are under tight security and at some unknown location in the temple premises.

Top destinations in Thiruvananthapuram. Great architecture. Best time to visit either before dawn or after sunset. If you are lucky you may witness spectacular serenity!

This temple opens at 8: 30. Before entering into the temple man has follow dress code, Dhoti without shirt. Dress code for women are saree and if salwar then dhoti has to wrap around the salwar. There are General queue and special Sarahan queue. Photography is not allowed. Very strict checking by the security personals. Temple premises are well maintain and clean. The calm and quite environment made the Darshan of Bhagwan’s satisfying. Inside the temple ancient sculpture are marvellous.

It is basically a south indian Temple where everyone likes to visit for Darshans. Not only south indians but allso devotees from all parts of India and even from abroad like to visit this Temple for Darshans. Devotees love to visit this Temple again and again and feel and enjoy homely atmosphere at this Temple.

One of most devotional temple in trivendram. I visited the temple at evening. The environment was very auspicious and pleasant. Your can really feel the presence of positive energy. I will suggest you to visit temple at evening. You will see the temple illuminated with natural lanterns. I got very amazing glimpse of God. You have wear traditional clothes which you will get at very affordable price. We also enjoyed the prasadam. A must visit place in trivendram.

Temple is situated in Trivandrum and it is very well connected by road. If you are in Trivandrum, make sure not to miss this. If you are not a South Indian, make sure you have a dhoti with you, because this is a dress code followed in the temple. You can also get the dhoti at the entrance of the temple.

It's an amazing temple to visit where you have Darshan of Vishnu ji in 3 parts. One with Sheshnag and his hand on Shivlinga, in second part goddess Laxmi and Brahma ji in lotus coming out of his naval, in third this feet

Beautiful temple with golden textured gopuram. I went in Nov 2018. The weather was sunny and crowd was less. I stayed at Rajdhani Tourist home in front of main entrance of temple. The temple has strict dress code. Inside no electronic item is allowed. The interior of temple has long corridors and beautiful carvings. There is Krishna Temple and Ganesha temple as well. The deity of MahaVishnu is mesmerizing. There is Shiva linga below His right hand palm and Brahma is seated on lotus emerging from His navel. The holy Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva at one place! The sanctum is pitch dark lit only by diyaas. You can watch aarti at 6.45 PM. Once aarti finishes quickly go to Krishna Temple, next aarti happens there.
