Cramped location, no parking facility. Very basic rooms and pretty much dusty. The door locks for some of the rooms are not working properly. The only advantage is the cost which is minimal.
We happened to stumble upon this building by a strange coincidence - as if Their Holinesses wanted us to go here! We were visiting the Sri Padmanabha temple for the first time (we are from Bangalore). After darshan there as we were walking back to our Lodge we lost our way and ended up here! We were too happy to find a Shankaramutt and entered inside. It is a two- storied building. A verandah welcomes us that has huge portraits of Jagadguru adorning the wall. To its side is a room where Sri Chandramauleeshwara is kept and worshipped, but the door was closed as the morning Pooja time was over. Instead, that day being Amavaasya, "Tarpana" kaaryakrama was going on and my husband took part in it that was being lead very well by a senior Purohit. I hope to get a chance to visit this place at leisure again and give a more detailed review.
