Starcare Hospital

The scanning facility that I got from Starcare hospital was really comfortable and well satisfied. The doctors and their assistants, all well friendly to the patients.

No ac in labour room waiting area.only 1 wallfan for 24 chairs.i don't know about all other waiting areas i just experience only this area. It was horrible experience when we spent all night there.
Why we need to pay high price for poor service.we choose best hospital for better service and this is what we getting.

My mother and I came here to take a ct ini the evening after 7.
First of all in the reception desk a lady was there she was there for the sake of some one i think.
As she said we went down stairs to the radiology department and not a single peraon was there in the radiology reception
We had to knock the doors of the department and suprisingle no one knew of it inside
Then we roamed around and found some ladies sitting inside a room
When we said them no one was their attitude was like they are paying us for the scan or something
We have also enquired them about the rate through whatsapp and they were arguing they informed us and the contrast was we didnt recieved any calls.
No one was there to guide us
Could have improved the staff behaviour and also better to keep some floor managers atleast

Had an amazing birthing experience from starcare under Dr. Radhika Manoj. Doctor is so kind and understanding and patiently explains our every concern, even with her tight schedule. Their ldr labour suite was so soothing for me as i could have the support of my husband throughout labour. Nurses, staffs, everyone was so supportive and kind and made my delivery memorable. Their delivery package is very good and we dont have to worry about anything, everything is well taken care of until discharge.

Excellent service, the waiting time for scanning was the only disappointment. Dr. Shamni from the gynaecology department did a marvelous job for us. Thank you, Doctor, for your timely decisions. Thank you, Star Care, for your valuable service.

മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ പോയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഇതിനേക്കാൾ better care കിട്ടിയേനെ. 70,000 രൂപ മുടക്കി starcare ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ട് 700 രൂപയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധ പോലും കിട്ടിയില്ല.
Star- care പോയിട്ട് ground level - care പോലും ഇല്ല.

Pros
1) good doctors (but very busy, no time for complete patient care)
2) good care to NICU babies (but rude behaviour towards babies parents)
3) nice behaviour from Labour room attender staffs ️

Cons
1,2,3,4) worst behavior by op staff (especially pediatrics op), floor nurses, labour room nurses & NICU nurses

My bad experiences
1) no help from labour room for the first breastfeeding. They just gave the baby and went. And that lead to lactational failure for me & now baby is on formula feed
2) rude behaviour from NICU nurses will upset new moms on postpartum depression and further reduces breastmilk supply
3) NICU nurses haven't counseled regarding low milk supply in initially days of delivery and didn't help regarding breast pump usage (actually there should be a lactational counselor)
4) nurses closed the labour room suite room's door from outside and I was alone in there for about half an hour while I was in labour

My suggestions
1) starcare hospital ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രധാനമായും പ്രസവത്തിനു ഉള്ളത് ആയതിനാൽ ഗർഭിണിൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഒരു dietician ആവശ്യമാണ്. Doctors ന് diet counsel ചെയ്യാൻ സമയമില്ല
2) lactation counselor ടെ സേവനം NICU ഇൽ ലഭ്യമാക്കണം
3) labour room ഇൽ ആദ്യമായി മുലയൂട്ടാൻ സഹായിക്കണം
4) pregnancy support group, അവരുടെ meetings എല്ലാം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചാൽ വളരെ നല്ലത്

1. ബില്ലിംഗ് ഒരുപാട് കള്ളത്തരങ്ങൾ കാണാൻ പറ്റി, അഡ്മിഷൻ സമയത്തു പറയുന്ന പൈസ ഒന്നും അല്ല ഡിസ്ചാർജ് സമയത്തു ബില്ലിൽ വരുന്നത് (ഒരു patient councellor ഉണ്ട്, കള്ളം മാത്രമേ പറയുളൂ).
നമ്മൾ മുമ്പ് അടച്ച പൈസ ഒക്കെ വീണ്ടും final billilum വരും, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ലേൽ പണി കിട്ടും.
2. No maintenance at time
ബാത്‌റൂമിൽ നിന്ന് വെള്ളം പോവാതെ വെള്ളം കെട്ടി നിന്നിട്ട് വൈകുന്നേരം പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് പിറ്റേന്ന് രാവിലെ വരെ ഒന്നും ചെയ്‌തില്ല.
3. Pediatric doctors not explaining the baby condition to us.

Worst hospital in calicut.arrogant and in experienced staff in emergency departments. Never ever go to this hospital they will kill you

Maintainance, cleanliness is probably one of the best in this Calicut. Staff are really friendly. Good infrastructure and facilities.
Navigation inside is just perfect.you will have no confusion in identifying departments and other areas.

I'm a nurse working in this institution since 2017. It is a great place to work, and for me it is my second home. Here I got many sweet moments. I Saw my piya first time from star care OT. When I was sick last year without saying anything the hospital authority given leave for me. When my mammy admitted with post covid pneumonia.all gave me a great support. Had worst labour experience this time. Was induced before due date.i personally wanted to wait till due date/naturally start labor pain. Asked for epidural/painless labor but was not considered.still going through labor trauma, even though its my 3rd delivery this has been the hardest and worst experience of all

Very bad experience. No follow up instructions after a surgery, Even important biopsy reports are ignored. The phone will not pick up when called. The doctor does not know when he will come and go. Here, What's next is always a question in front of us. There is no liability.

I was waiting one whole day for vein specialist but at the last minute one assistant came and gave his 30 seconds. No observation, analysis and treatment, but collecting 500rs without any work. I lost one day in all aspect and expected specialist. No use. They are here for making money not for public. If you have money and time you can waist it there. That's all.

Very irresponsible administrartion.not providing prescription in pregnancy cases, providing duplicate bills in place of original bill, and when we ask for duplicate bill.they give some unclear photostat. NEVER GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM YOUR MEDICAL EXPENSES FROM SOME INSTITUTION. IT WILL BE A GREAT HEADACHE.

Poorly managed hospital and staffs. I booked an appointment online through their website. After reaching hospital they said they dont have any Dr in that department. When i said i booked online they asked if i had called them and confirmed. When they have a online facility why should i call them. Online it showed they have around 7 Doctors for orothopedic dept. That day they did not have any Dr in Ortho.
Just traveled 1.5 hour from my home to this hopital just to consult a Dr.

I had a very good experience at Star care. The hospital followed hygiene and Covid protocols diligently. The staff I interacted with were very warm and helpful, and the doctor I met patiently clarified all my queries and concerns.

Please *don't trust* these people over here. They really don't care about your time. I don't know why it is called "starcare". I would like to share my worst experience that i had today.
I took appointment for Gastroenterologist on tuesday and went there at the given time. I payed the fee and waited for more than 2 hours then while asking to the nurse she replied "Doctor won't come today. He will be here only on Saturdays". I complained to the so called operations snr managers and all other staffs there and no body really cares. The only person who supported me was PRO. I was travelling for more than one hour to reach the hospital with my mother who was sick. After making a lot of talks they returned the fee only and we came back home. The people who talked to me was acting like they did nothing.

Very bad customer management. Irresponsible staffs including receptionists. I was billing for a lab test and they billed the wrong test. Instead of HCV they wrote it as HIV. They don't know doctors scribes. Waste of time. The operations managing staffs there are acting like we are there for begging. Teach them to behave and handle customers.

I am very disappointed with their service they are too expensive
A reputed hospital like starcare should not behave like this

A month ago my sister was delivered there and from the experience of my family only Dr. Azraa she was the only one who was really nice and professional in all ways rest of the staffs and management was very awful from the start to end.we had gone for maternity package and counseller who was informing package will be nice to till you select the package once it’s done you will be unattended and will feel like utmost humility to go and ask for any clarifications since they all behave very odd afterwards.and package amount will be almost high once you receive the bill over discharge.funny part is they will not let you see the management properly so that it can’t be clarified.

Very bad experience with this hospital. I took a covid test yesterday and they communicated that the the result will be send to my email by same day evening. But after waiting 24 hr no response from them. Tried calling them so many times and they say they are sending right away but nothing is happening. This is very irresponsible pattern from such a famous hospital. Please change your name from starcare to starcareless hospital.

No words for Labour room nurses, very attractive performance and mr mahesh (coustomer care) is lovely person and man of professional. Other departments also nice.

Had worst experience.i have consulted Dr.shamni shajudheen.doctor service is very good.i am also a doctor.nurses in the labour room were very rude. In the obs and gync services available, they are talking about painless delivery. Those who prefer epidural anesthesia, please dont go there. I preferred painless delivery but at the time of delivery, there were not willing to give me any aneshthesia.
Staff service and administrative service are very bad.i haven’t seen any committed nursing staff there.
I choose delivery package with suite room.what they said about package before delivery was it will be around 1.10lack for LSCS & my bill was around 1.25lacks, previously they said review consultation fee of baby and mother are included in package and when i went for review, they asked me to pay consultation fee.
Talking about suite room, -poor maintainance. Furnitures were broken, fittings in the toilet were broken. There is full of dust and fungus everywhere around the room.

The given 3 star is for Doctors and Nurses for their services. They are very caring and good behaviour towards the patients. And the balance star I didn't given because of the management. The room is very small and big price. A room without AC and TV have a charge 2800 per day. The room we get was this and lot's of insects were coming to the room from outside. Very bad management.

This hospital have less patients and staffs, when i visit. Comparitivly other hospital and same fecility it expensive. Telivision on all rooms but only accesible permission for A/C rooms.

I always hanker to disseminate, whatever, good I felt about either an institution or individual. Here I would like to write something about the hospital where I have undergone a medical procedure.

On 10.12.2020 I was admitted at the MICU of this hospital post completion of the first phase of the medical intervention procedure to remove five blocks in the three main arteries of my heart. It was the first time I have ever been hospitalized for any ailment. Thus my understanding of hospital care was very vague.

Upon admission I commenced noticing things that I had never imagined to happen in hospitals. Albeit it was the first experience for me to have admitted in an hospital, I had been to many a hospital umpteen time to visit friends and relatives. During such visits I had never come across something similar to what came before my eyes here.

I found the paramedical staff on duty at the MICU manifesting exemplary elan while performing their duties. Their dedication to proffer utmost care to the patients under their responsibility was incomparable. They took care of the patients, as if, they are their own kith and kin. They put maximum effort to ensure that the patients' suffering stays at the barest level by enhancing their comfort. The experience did not sink in yet in the convoluted folds of my brain. Please do not think that I was impressed by the paramedical staff's addressing of old age patients as "achha and amma". In fact I did not enjoy it at all. Notwithstanding, I know why it is being done.

It was Dr. K. P. Balakrishnan, D. M, who was treating me and I found in him an extraordinary human being apart from him being a very renowned cardiologist. Even though nobody needs an introduction of him as a cardiologist I would wish to say a few words. My kin who are in medical profession apprised me that three of the five blocks in the arteries of my heart were in extremely difficult spots where placing a stent itself was almost impossible. Nevertheless, as per my sources, Dr. Balakrishnan has impeccably placed them, as if, it was a simple task. One can imagine how much satisfied the patient would be. The gratitude that I have to him is very difficult to express in words.

The hospital is good and clean but
There is one In patient manager Mr.sarik, don’t ever expect that you can contact him. I tried him many times and either bc or disconnecting the call. If we want meet no way, world busiest manger I have ever seen, when he is in hospital he will be in meeting always.

We expect good we pay high amount but get worst service and experience don't came for treatment here maximum go some other good reputed pvt hospital in city or public sector hospitals

I have no words. Good doctors, nursing staffs are so friendly. I came to know about this hospital from my close friend who is staff nurse at MICU, Alester.
I went there for surgery for my hand under Dr. Muhammed shafeeq. He was talking to me while surgery that I was not aware that surgery was going on. I'm recovering now. Hats off to all the staffs there and my dear friend Alester and also sister shelly.

But for Mr. Thariq i wud not have landed up here in starcare. The best hospital for maternity, treatments. Our child was born in this hospital a few months ago, and they provide an option called labour suite (optional), in which you can stay beside your wife during delivery. The staff are all very caring, professional and helpful. The expenses for normal delivery is comparatively less with regards to other hospitals but the quality of treatment is very high.
If you go with package option the rate is very low, they have 3 packages available for delivery. And i would like to Thank Mr. Biju Public relations officer, Star care hospital for all the help provided, that too in personnal.
I will definitely suggest my friends and colleagues to choose this hospital. My suggestions for improvement areas are: - Canteen facility need to improve, Parking should be guided by security personels Try to fix a Toilet facilty outside the hospital premises so that those who accompany patient can go comfortable.

ഉമ്മ ഒരു ആസ്ത്മ രോഗി ആണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം പെട്ടെന്ന് വലിവ് കൂടി. കോവിഡ് ഭയന്ന് ആദ്യം ആശുപത്രികൾ എടുത്തില്ല. വഴിയിൽ സ്റ്റാർകെയർ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ കേറി. അവിടെ എത്തി ICU ഇൽ മറ്റുമ്പോഴേക്കും ഉമ്മയ്ക്കു തീരെ ശ്വാസം കിട്ടുന്നുണ്ടായില്ല, ബോധവും പോയി. (Dr പിന്നീട് പറഞ്ഞതു ഓക്സിജൻ അളവ് 23% ആയിരുന്നു എന്നാണ്) ക്രിട്ടിക്കൽ കെയർ icu ഇൽ എത്തിയതും, അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു Dr Azhar sir. ഞാൻ അടുത്തതു കാണുന്നതു Dr നേരെ ഉമ്മാക് ഒരു മാസ്ക് വെച്ച് ഓക്സിജൻ കൊടുത്തു, വായിൽ ട്യൂബ് ഇട്ടു വെന്റിലേറ്റർ ആക്കി, അവിടെ ഉള്ള നേഴ്സ് ഒക്കെ എല്ലാവരും ഉമ്മാക് വേണ്ടി ഓടുന്ന കാഴ്ച. ഇതിനിടയിൽ ഒരു ചേച്ചി എന്റെ അടുത്ത് പുറത്തു പോകാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അര മണിക്കൂർ കഴിഞ്ഞു Dr എന്റെ അടുത്ത് വന്നു എല്ലാം പറഞ്ഞു തന്നു. അടുത്ത ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ദൈവം സഹായിച്ചു ഉമ്മ ഭേദപ്പെട്ടു.

കോവിഡ് ആണോ അല്ലെ എന്ന് പോലും അറിയാതെ, ആ സമയത്തു ഉമ്മയുടെ ജീവൻ രക്ഷിച്ച Dr Azhar sir അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായ നഴ്സസ് മാലാഖമാർ (പേര് അറിയുന്നതു anjali എന്ന കുട്ടി മാത്രം ആണ്), ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ എല്ലാ സഹായങ്ങളും ചെയ്തു തന്ന മാനേജർ tariq എല്ലാവരോടും ഞാൻ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നും നന്ദി സ്നേഹം അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

I consulted Dr Sunil Rajedran vascular treatment they have informed me there is a package for laser treatment costing 40000/-
I have asked about the total cost but they told 40000+ some medicine will be there
But they have charged us for each and everything used for treatment which is extra cost
Apart from 40000 we have spend nearly 15000/-
There is no break up for 40000 as well

we felt cheated on seeing our final billing
Billing staff was also non cooperative
No supporting staff apart from the Nurses
Nurses in Day Care were felt like real angels

Stare care please be transparent on the Package, People are suffering from Covid 19 and making this money by borrowing

My kind advise is please elaborate on the total cost of surgery to all the patient (you are doing this surgery all the week, you have exact figure how much does it cost) If there are willing to do let them do or else please leave them don't cheat them

Poor people and avarage people, please don't go there. You will ruin everything.
They are compelling still stay in ICU. Good parking place, but unfortunately there is no a single spece for resting for visiters. If you are coming here, and waiting for someone. You can still stand out.
This hospital started just three years ago, but shows too old, out.surroundings.
Feel bad smell on exit.
Rooms and surroundings are best. There is a flat TV but not working. Wifi is available for patients.

I'm happy and satisfied with the service provided. Service rendered by the doctors esp Dr. Sathi and Dr. Shameer and the staff including Mr. Tharik were so professional. Clean and neat canteen, room and washroom, better parking facilities. Overall satisfactory.

My initial experience with this hospital was not so good.but after my complaint about this issue to the CEO, services of this hospital have been improved drastically.one point to note is that the efforts of the doctors of gynaecology department are excellent and above the standard.

Best hospital for all the treatments and amazing services for pregnancy. I recommend this hospital for all my keralite friends.

Good doctors, nurses and staff, especially DR Shafeeq, Ortho department. Surgery, Ent, Neuro specialities are good as well. The relation manager Mr. Thareeq was very helpful and responsible. Thank you for the care & facilities provided.
