Receptionist staff Renji Ramesh is such a rude person, she doesn’t even know how to behave to guests. I booked angamoozhi safari for 8500 rupees through a phone call and cancelled after 4 hours, she asked me 7000 rupees cancellation charge, I don’t know how can this huge cancellation charge come. She and her husband blackmailed me in phone for money. This was very disappointing behaviour. I recommend the hotel management to fire Renji Ramesh and keep her husband away from your gate. Rest of all very good… neat, clean and big rooms fantastic food. Very polite guys… all good. Be careful of this lady and her manipulation, she is such a liar

The rooms of this hotel are beautiful and it is the only saving grace. The service is just horrible. We faced many issues there and the stay was quite unpleasant.

Loved the place and the food. Had great room service and a pleasant stay. The cleanliness was impeccable and view from the room was great.

We stayed here for 3 nights for the first leg of our Kerala holiday. The rooms were very spacious with a sitting room and balcony. The bathrooms were neat and clean, well stocked up too. The front desk and travel desk both were very helpful at all times. The food in the restaurant was tasty. Will look forward to visiting again.

Sterling Thekkady was a terrible disappointment. We booked the place with high hopes after viewing the beautiful photos they had posted. What a let down.

The photos show a luxurious stay at a hotel with a picturesque view. The view? Trees. The stay? Absolutely dreadful.

We booked a family suite (at no low cost), expecting a nice place. An hour after we arrived, our kids saw a lizard in the room. They were terrified, especially since this was supposed to be a pleasant stay, and already we were plagued by bugs as soon as we stepped out. All the family suites were put next to the service doors, which were filthy with grease and there were screws left around. The doors were left open, and swarms of bugs flew in, including wasps, one of which stung my daughter. The cockroaches were no small deal either. They were everywhere, and crawled into the rooms. We asked the front desk for a different room due to the lizard. They took almost an hour, and even after they moved us, the amount of bugs hadn't budged. My kids were terrified and they could barely sleep.

The kids fun room? Trash. They show a well-lit room with multiple activities to do when you're bored. The reality, however, was much different. It was practically abandoned, and the amount of dust caused sneezing fits in all of us. The chessboard's pieces were practically nonexistent, and we could only find the occasional rook. Ludo? No pieces at all. Carrom? The queen, half the white pieces, and the striker were all missing. Foosball? The majority of players were gone and the table was broken. Well-maintained, right?

I am so glad that we only booked the place for a night. It was a waste of my time, money, and happiness.

We are staying at Sterling Thekkady right now and we feel really bad to encounter very bad and unprofessional behaviour from the GM Mr. AnilKumar when we approached him regarding a matter in the restaurant. The service is below par and this is the first time we had to encounter from Sterling.this is highly deplorable and was humiliating to the core.

If I can give poorest would be better… room having lots of red ant… and what horrible I saw at night when I wanted to sleep early because next day I schedule my other plans…. Very very very bad experience… 12.45 u need to sleep but you have to deal with this kind of stuff on your holiday n specially ur travelling day which more stressful… not recommend at all

Slightly expensive accommodation but luxurious. Some Area need some improvement like with frequent cleaning of bathrooms in pool area!

Location, location, very well situated near to the market. Room size big enough. Chef cooks excellent food. Staff very helpful & caring.

Sterling Thekkady is a hotel and pretty decent to stay with family. Excellent location right in the middle of the small city and here too the Privilege Suite was good enough for the 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids.

The bedroom was on the smaller side but the front hall with the dining table, sofa seating area was good. Again, the pictures I am sharing will give you a better idea of the whole setup.

Parking was not big but OK, good dining area but slow service it was; nice & well maintained hotel. The food was tasty and comforting. The reception area was very big with many sofa seating areas and a conference room too.
The swimming pool on the terrace was the icing on the cake and kids loved it!

The staff were OK but the room service was quick.

Very bad experience here. This is a leased out property and the people at the hotel were irresponsible and did not help us in any way. They were rude too. We had to wait for hours to contact Sterling and then get a room. And this is not a resort like other Sterling properties. This is another normal hotel. Please DO NOT consider this place.

The hotel is right beside Kumily town and really near to Thekkady Boating Facilities. It will be a boon to tourists coming to experience Thekkady wilderness.

Room was awesome. The lunch service was a la Carte.we went to dining area at 1.30 pm and returned back at 3.30 pm. Pathetic service.it was taking more than 1.5 hrs to bring a steam rice. C’mon you should be kidding me.

Rooms are Spacious and elegant, peaceful vibes and happy stay, rooftop pool was the icing on the cake

Alright. Let me describe. So the hotel was very nice. The staff was very nice and gave me directions to what I needed. They always helped whenever I needed them to. Now, to the pros and cons.

Pros

The bathroom is lovely and probably the best bathroom in a hotel that I have ever seen.
The facilities and what they offer is just great and you won't regret it. The price might be a little more than you expect but it's a FOUR star hotel.
There is a swimming pool as well but it wasn't that active so I didn't mind to get in it.

The food selection during breakfast was decent. Not too much and not too little food. It was just the right amount so no need to worry there. It's mostly keralian food but if you are from outside you can eat bread and other curries that are from India. The view was great as well!
Cons
They had all the facilities but they forgot to provide a toothbrush, paste and other sml things which I have seen other hotels do. But I am nitpicking here so it's alright.
That was my review, I overall enjoyed my stay here. I am actually writing this review in the hotel on my comfy bed. Ok. Go for it!

This is a nice hotel with all amenities.roof top pool is the main attraction.rooms are spacious and airy.rooms at higher floor are with very nice view of city and hills

Very bad service. We had asked for extra bed but the room service didn't provide but they had charged for the extra bed. Not at all good. The hotel staff and house keeping manager are not responsible. Very bad experience.

Slightly on the expensive side.
The quality and taste of food is strictly average for the price.
Parking is available for about 10-15 cars but there is no covered car parking.
There were frequent powercuts when we were staying there and if you are in the Lift, it would immediately halt with a jerk and then go slowly to the next floor and then open up to let us out. We have to use the stairs after that. The kids were scared. Got stuck twice on the same night. Not a good experience if you have small kids or aged relatives.

Prestigious suite was good, restaurant service was also good.

Good property, comfortable and spacious room. Good and comfy bed, neat and clean. Bathroom are spacious and clean.
Facilities: Roof top swimming pool, restaurant, spa, activity room and so on.
Spa service was good i opted for herbal facial and foot massage. Staff was well behaved and cordial. Rates were reasonable.
Activity room with table tennis, carrom and chess.
Buffet breakfast can be improved. Taste wise is average.
Overall a good place. I enjoyed my stay.

AC was not working, TV was not working, food was average. Service is average, they take 50 rs charges for water bottle, service is average. So I give 3 star, as Gym was not working, play area and play instruments was damage.

Cozy stay in the heart of thekkady. Most of the tourist attractions are near by. Room was spacious and clean. View from the balcony was not as mentioned but still it was good. Food was really good but options were limited, however, one can step out near by there are many other restaurants are available. Overall it was a good experience. They provided driver accomodation.

Hotel accommodation and swimming pool facility at roof top was good. Hotel wifi connection speed can be improved. Transportation arrangements were good for Jeep safari and boating.

Its too too bad property, they are not taking care of taxi drivers they thing drivers are likes dogs

Delicious breakfast spread and the privilege suite room is great. Excellent view from the roof top swimming pool. Value for money property!

A new sterling resort building in the moderate hills of god's own country. Quite and charming place to relax and visit some fantastic tourist spots nearby including the brilliant periyar river cruise. Good is excellent and the resort manger is friendly and ever willing to help.

These is new resort, recently built. Extremely good with all new rooms and facilities. Food is good aswell. Located in heart of the thekedy. Swimming on 9th floor.

Thekkady resorts has been now shifted to a new place which is more like a hotel now there is no play area or activity center as such the rooms were good

Having stayed at Sterling Kodai, I was expecting something similar here.a big let down! My bad!

Plus: Rooms were neat and staff polite. Spa staff were professional.

Minus: Frequent power cuts, veg options on the menu is limited and on top of it, lots of items on the menu was not available when asked for! Constant answer when asked about dessert options - fruit salad and ice cream. Bed spread and bed sheet were rough! Room service/housekeeping were lethargic.despite asking for water refill twice, no one showed up.

Awesome hotel for one's stay. Very clean and beautiful rooms. The hotel is located nearby market. The staff were also very helpful.

A must stay in the town of Thekkady.

Close to major attraction point. Limited parking slots. Sometimes can be crowded in weekends specially saturdays. One of the best things is the rooftop swimming pool amidst surrounding.

All rooms don't have AC and Fridge. Atleast our room didn't. Have never been to such rooms in any other Sterlings before. If you need a room with AC and fridge, better to tell them while check-in.

Staffs are courteous here. Enjoyed the stay overall.

There is nothing better you can get at Thekkady other than Cinnamon, iam not just talking about the Spice but also about this beautiful Stay at the heart of Thekaddy, situated right on the Spice road and at the mouth of periyar entrace, its a perfect spot to stay, relax, travel around and enjoy. Since the Hotel also serves Liquor at a very decent price and with great quality food, you dont have to step out for Dinner outside. They are complete with a roof top pool surrounded by hills and has got a speedy room service and housekeeping. Marking Cinnamon as our stay in Thekkady for future Visits.

Being new property cleanliness and hygiene is very impressive.the behavior of the staff is excellent. The menu of restaurant was rich for north Indians. Poolside and location is also very good.

This is the hotel with a bar.and this is the second hotel with a bar in kumily. And I don't give a 5 * for the quality of the bar. It smells like s***. And the behaviour of the security guard is worst. I don't have any bad experience with the hotel facility.

The people in the hotel are good and the property is new one. Good and comfortable stay. We stayed for 2 nights. The family suite is good one with living room. The rooms have balcony. The play area need some more attention. The swimming pool is awesome with forest and city view. Good hotel will recommend to my friends.

Cinnamon is located just near the highway at kumily holiday home junction with all the infrastructure and service of the guests

Guys Please dont book rooms in this Hotel as the worst part of the Hotel is that "THEY DONT GIVE ANY ROOM SERVICE FROM 22.00 TO 08.00". I had to depart early morning at 6.30 as i have to go my another destination Alleppy. When i was ready at 6.15 have called reception counter to send a person to collect my luggage to load into my car. They refused me that they dont have any staff at that time as they dont give any room service as i have mentioned above.secondly they even didnt clean my room till 15.00.

According to me This is the WORST in Whole KERELA.i am giving 1 star as it does not allow me to post my review without any star
