Surya Restaurant Aluva

Very good food and ambience. The beef and veg curries are all good. The porotta is tasty. The garlic naan could have more garlic/taste better. Accessible location.

I have tried chicken 65 here and it wasn't good, it wasn't even chicken 65 they just roasted it badly.
Not recommend to order this dish

I had fish biriyani and chicken biriyani from here both were so bad that we couldn't finish it and overall experience was not so good. I would suggest people to avoid fish biriyani as price is 325 and this is the worst biriyani I had in my life.

Tried porotta and chicken roast. It was delicious but a bit expensive. For fresh juices, they charged 110/-
Washroom facilities are on the second floor which seems a little inconvenient.

ഞാൻ പലവട്ടം സൂര്യയിൽ കഴിക്കാറുണ്ട് ആദ്യമായിട്ട് ഇതു ഒന്നു കഴിച്ചതാ. എന്റെ പൊന്നു ചേട്ടാ. 125 രൂപയും ടാക്സും കൊടുത്ത് ഒരു ഫ്രൂട്ട് സലാഡ് with ice cream, എനിക്ക് തന്നപ്പോൾ മിനിമം ഒരു 20രൂപയുടെ നിലവാരം എങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ട. മുടക്കുന്ന പൈസക്ക് കസ്റ്റമർ സന്തോഷവാനാണോ എന്ന് മുതലാളി ഒന്നു ആലോചിക്കുക. വൃത്തിയുള്ള ടേബിളും, നല്ല അന്തരീക്ഷവും തന്നാൽ കസ്റ്റമർ ഹാപ്പി ആകണമെന്നില്ല.

Staff need to be more courteous, the hotel need the customers and not the customers need hotel Surya alone, as choices of hotels available in and around.
Secondly, prices are too high as compared to similar standard hotel around.

They made us wait 30 minutes for the food we ordered and then we asked them about it and they said that the items we ordered had finished before hours. They are not valuing the time of customers very bad experience from the mangement side

A good place to have a chit chat get together with your friends and colleagues. Also a peaceful place for a family meet up. Good service and nice ambience. Have been visiting this restaurant for past five years and things have improved every now and then. You'll get almost every type of food varieties and they'll customise the menu for you if you're booking in advance for a bunch of people. Worth to visit.

The best available hotel in the whole town and suberbs of Aluva. Very meet and tidy, ample spacious in two floors. Very easy and spacious parking. Most professional service and delicious food of all kinds.

I had visited this hotel today and had attended a lunch organised in connection with the celebration of Christening of the child of one of my relative. The function was conducted in the hall at second floor and we had to climb up the stairs to reach the hall. There is no provisions for lift. Though the hall is air conditioned its full benefit is not there since it is a pedestal type of movable air-condition unit. The ghee rice served for the lunch was below expectations and I had to wash my hands using soap twice to clean away the oily stuff which got sticked. I fail to understand why the hoteliers are doing like this for fetching profits?

Good place for dinning. Can enjoy dinning with the view of Metro trains passing by and food was also good.

The quality of food served was not worth the price. Paid 1000 for food which I could have got at a local restaurant for about 400.

It was pretty empty during my visit on a Saturday evening. We ordered Ghee Roast dosas and a Mixed Veg Utthappam.

Even though we were the only customers in sight and though we ordered the most basic of items, the service time took forever.

Because of the wait, someone I was with actually commented on the time it took and said it felt like they had just made the batter and were waiting for it to rise.

Once the food came, it was a bit cold and soggy, because the Ghee Roasts were not served up until the Utthappam was ready. Thankfully I had ordered the Utthappam, so my meal was tasty and good.

The 3 varieties of chutneys served with all three items were really good.

The hotel management of Surya are living in wonderland. They charged Rs. 200 for a plate of Chicken Lollypop. But the irony is they served only 3 small pieces of lollypop for Rs. 200. This is a BOMB charging. Any damn restaurant in India serves bear minimum 4-6 pieces of lollypop for a tariff between Rs. 180 - Rs. 200.

So please beaware of this restaurant at ALUVA on NH Bye Pass Road.

Clean and tidy. Food seemed to be fresh. Good access. Ample parking space infront of the road. Little bit expensive.

Food is good but the main staff seem unfriendly. Seeing we had a get together, they were trying to get us out just after we ordered juice because we seemed noisy. Food was good but the general demeanour was we don't welcome groups of people who talk a little loudly.

Even though a bit expensive compare to any other restaurants in Aluva, Surya is the best. Great taste and cuisine.

A 'class place' I would say. Really quite and nice place. The calmness comes with a nice ambience too. Will be s great place to bring your family. Great hospitality from the staff side. Haven't tried the food, so I font know how good it is.

CLEAN AND NEET, BUT ONE DAY WHEN WE TRIED MUTTON ROAST, IT WAS UNCOOKED WELL, ALSO THEY DIDNT TREAT US WELL TOO

I have experienced good food before from Surya restaurant, but very recently I have ordered chicken biriyani via Zomato, the customer service was awesome and they delivered on time.

The food was not tasty and terrible to eat. They just boiled the rice and mixed with Chicken gravy.

Waste of my money. We couldn't eat and just put in waste dub. Please make sure while the good has quality of the price you charge for. Really disappointed this time. Didn't expect this from Surya restaurant.

On 24-8-2019, I placed an order for one curd rice and one vegetable biriyani through Swiggy. The items were fine and I reordered for the same items on 25-8-2019. But the vegetable biriyani was fine, but the curd was lacking enough curd and hence the curd rice was not good.

Place is wonderful as always. Ordered chicken 65, mutton biryani and lime juice. Chicken was tender and the covering of maida was also well cooked thus very tasty. Mutton was not that good, undercooked and was very rubbery. Biryani was okayish. Lime juice okay.

Wonderful place. Stopped on our way to find a bus to Munnar. Good food, good prices, good ambience. Ticks all boxes.

Last Friday night I had been to this RESTAURANT to have dinner and I had a bad customer experience. I ordered a Chicken Biryani. In the first place the quantity was very less for the amount charged, which is RS 179 and on top of that the chicken pieces were small, so I requested the waiter to give me a bigger piece and he replied that "This isn't a THATTUKADA, it's a RESTAURANT". I complained about this to the restaurant incharge then, however he was least bothered. I left the food on table, paid the bill and walked out of the RESTAURANT!

Please train your staff on how to talk and behave with customers before they are on the job.

Very high price for all food items and not a good taste. I am not recommend this restaurant for any one. They are playing a monopoly in this aluva area. They are thinking their price range on food items will acceptable by people. Once this restaurant is closed by health department for serving 2 weeks back food

Tasty food, they have variety of dishes in menu card, not bad for a weekend outing dinner, little.bit costly.

Near Aluva bypass service road, their is no local customers. Ploting and bypassing customers. Lokking good from outside. No quality food they served. But very expensive i think may be rent is very high, i don't know.

An upscale restaurant. Good seating capacity in two floors by the highway side on the service road. Most country dishes are available.

Good Family restaurant avaialable in Aluva. Very good ambience. Neat and Hygienic place. Hospitality is also good. Air conditioned restaurant. Both Veg and Non veg dishes avaialable. Their Porota & chilly beef is. Parking space avaialable. Price is bit high but worthy!

Good food. Good choice of food. Good ambience. Ac not so cool. Tough to sit in summer even during nights. So downgrading to 4 stars.

It's a nice Restaurant, good dinning, good flooring, perfectly maintained amenities, amazing atmosphere with great tasty foods items, excellent staffs, parking space is available but only one thing, toilets available in to "third floor", all costumers climbing stairs it self.
