Tagore Theatre

One of the best public place to be visited at Trivandrum in Kerala. Centralised Air conditioning and Seats are Good.
But toilets are not in a good condition. Bad.
Cleaning must be done at regular intervals.

A great spot for hosting parties and programs. We had our college film fest there.best optn. Olam and other seasonal fests are best held here. There is great space for parking

One of the oldest theatre in kerala. Main venue of International film festivel of kerala and so many other theatrical works. And also the main venue of different cultural activities.

It is a nice place for films as wel as cultural programs. It is in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram district. Every year in the month of December, International Film Festival of Kerala is happening in Tagore theatre.

The campus is so awesome and calm. The parking area also very large.

International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) Main Venue. Good theatre and Nature.

The theatre, which underwent renovation as part of modernization of Tagore Centenary Halls project across the country, now has a 3000 sq.ft stage with a seating capacity for 905. The air-conditioned theatre is also equipped with enhanced light and audio system and has a digital projection system.

The functioning of the theatre is managed through the the Cultural Development Office of I&PRD, which is headed by the Cultural Development Officer. The day-to-day functioning of the theatres is taken care of by the Manager. Hosting of events, bookings and related matters are handled by the manager.

Tagore theatre is a large complex that has the biggest performance hall in Trivandrum. It has a great balcony space also for viewing the main hall of the campus. Major school and college events are organised within the campus.

But it's not a commercial movie theatre. It's like a performance theatre and movies only screened for film festivals like IFFK

Tagore theater is best during iffk rather than the technicalities the ambiance is really worthy

It is a great place to host stage competition (drama etc) since it has a got a very big stage and enough space in the back stage also. It has also got amble parking space too.

It should be properly maintained so as to maintain its charm.

Not a commercial theatre, mostly plays and festivals I watched movies during Iffk I had a great experience, well maintained theatre and surroundings.loved it

Tagore theater is one of the oldest theaters in Trivandrum City. The Theater is owned by I&PRD GOVERNMENT OF KERALA. Screen is equipped with Christi 2K Projector and Dolby Atmos which gives a wonderful experience. I had visited there during IFFK.

Nice makeover for the old complex. Fully air conditioned. Support staff (stage, electrical, light, sound) are supportive.
The only cons are related to the government procedures.

Best part is that lot of space for car parking, if we talk about inside theatre, seats are comfortable and restrooms were clean.

This is one of the awesome arena of trivandrum! Lots of creative stuffs, arts, festivals have been performed! And will in the future! This arena also includes a theater that's why the name TAGORE THEATER!

Fabulous place to go. The seats are good and the capacity is a fabulous number of 850 seats. The air conditioning is great sometimes too cold.the balcony arrangement is however very disappointing. We can't see screen properly and looks as if it is downhill. First class area is far better.

The renovated air conditioned theatre now provides good looks and the face lifted dias and seating arrangements have improved the ambience also. The Parking space may please be laid with garden bricks so as to avoid dusty atmosphere and surroundings.

Nice place to hangout if there is some program going on. Yearly occurance of Olam, a mixed cultural festival of Trivandrum, with Flea market and fine arts makes it a great place to pick by with families.

Parking is a bit tough to find on during festivals.

I went to Tagore theater premise for Olam 2020. It was a nice atmosphere there. Well done Team olam for that. The space is pretty big for organizing a fest. There were nearly 100+ stalls and other events organised there. The theater itself can accommodate a large group. Good parking facility and well accessible as it is right in the city.

Tagore Theatre is the best place in Trivandrum city to enjoy performing arts. The theatre is also used for film screenings during film festivals like the International Film Festival of Kerala and also the Children's Film Festivalestival. The place is centrally located with plenty of parking space.

A large theatre with 1000+ seating capacity, undertaken by Government of Kerala. It commonly hosts large programs which are of public interest and those which are attended by ministers and other high ranked officials. It is situated in a large compund with ample parking facility and space for custom stores.

Place where large audience gathers for renowned events like International Film Festival of Kerala and many public events.it's wonderful feeling to be part of the evening events that take place here.the lighting and decorations are almost visual treat.

Easily notable from main road. Very good parking space. Theatre is A/C and well maintained after renovation. Major cultural events of State Government like International film festival, various award functions and the prestigious Soorya festival is hosted here. Very spacious hall and spacious stage.

Cultural complex owned by Information Public Relations department, Govt of Kerala, in heart of city, between lush green trees. Nice Ambience, great auditorium, with 1000 seats. Best for stage performances and cinema projection.

One of the best place for theaterical performances and the main venue of IFFK till date lot of parking space with trees all over the compound giving it a fine ambience seating and other facilities are now of high standard after recent renovation.

I had been a regular visitor for almost all cultural activities here since 1990s. At that time there was film shows organised by Film Circle on monday evenings.though the no.of viewers are a few it was nice experience to begin love films by masters like Eisenstein, Ingmar Bergman, Pudovkin, Kurosawa. It was a venue for many film festivals including IFFK versions and it continues. 'Surya' also consider Tagore as a main centre for many of its prestigious programmes. Theatrical performances have peculiar charm when those events happened here. I witnessed dances from many European countries in this theatre organised by ICCR. Altogether its a nice experience to remember those hours spent here in my life.
