Very good place to stay in munar, location was very very beautiful it was located at the center of tea estate above the hills we can get good view point on this resort Room service was good very responsible and friendly staff overall godd
Great ambiance, top mountain view. If you really want to relax then this is the right place. It is little away from Munnar town around 4km, From pothamedu view point to tea valley is approx 2 km. The welcoming way is not good, climbing tea estate towards to tea valley. Apart from this resort having good ambiance foods are good. Absolutely can enjoy the vacation.
Good service, friendly staff. The complementary breakfast was great and we have a nice view from the balcony. Rooms are big. Have camp fire set up with roof so that we can have camp fire even during the rain. Also has a tree house and a children's play ground.
Excellent climate and.ambience.now post covid I visited. Nice dealing and.support. Good for short stay. Accebility to town is a little bit difficult. Altogether nice place with reasonable rate.
Beautiful ambience, awesome location, courteous and friendly staff, breakfast can be improved; more options can be added to the buffet. Great place for couples.
I booked my stay here through make my trip. The stay was pleasant and service was awesome! There was a very big disappointment with the route. The location on make my trip says pallivasal location but the resort is near to pothamedu. It was 6 me and my wife got stuck in the way. I wasn't sure of any landmarks to tell the resort people to help me with the way. But the local youngster who were there nearby the way helped us in communicating with the resort people to find us a way. ALL OVER TRIP WAS GOOD WITH SLIGHT DISAPPOINTMENT! AM NOT ABLE TO REVIEW ON MAKE MY TRIP DUE TO SOME REASON
Resort ambience is good. Rooms are okay.nice scenary. Road to resort is inside tea estate and not good road. And the food is too costly inside the resort.
Great location but the road leading to the hotel is wrong in GMaps, u need to come from pothamedu View point. The hotel is good. But could improve in a lot of areas. Like room service can be done without asking. WiFi speed needs to be improved. Was asked to place waste outside and no one had taken it. Overall service can be better as well. Onto the good stuff, the breakfast is okay, and dinner is good when there is buffet, the fog into the hotel is great with amazing views when u get to the top. Overall it fits ur budget and prolly the value for money hotel in the Bison valley area.
This is a budget resort. Worth for the price you pay. Location is little offroad. Help desk ppl are really friendly. They offered me the Executive room which is really huge for two person. Food menu is limited and the price is affordable. Property is old so doors and windows are not closing properly so the outside chillness getting inside & whole room is freezing. Heater available on morning only. Not always. Board game rooms are not maintained at all. Bonfire spot is available but I never see them active. Overall bang for the buck hotel.
The hotel is far away from town and in middle of nowhere. It's not a pony of complaint but there is absolutely nothing available in the vicinity. The hotel had leeches and it bit one of our family members.the best part we found there is no first aid kit too. The hotel staff were ok but they got us annoyed everytime for breakfast and dinner as they wanted to close the restaurant and leave early.food as usual was very costly and not tasty. We were deceived by the pics and fake reviews. I would not encourage this place.
Words are not enough: Beautiful Such a beautiful resort with lush green view all the way; Amazing view from resort. Rooms are well planned, comfy, with big balcony. Good Food, nice staff. As the name says, the resort location is behind the tea gardens, at the valleys; To reach there you have to drive on the narrow terrain of hilly areas, and in few you have to take hair pin bends.although the sights that comes thereafter is breathtaking, but lil scary sometimes! Nearest view point: Pothamedu view point.
Excellent vibe is here. Almost climate is awesome ️ Reception and information Desk was so Friendly. Security Guards are very Good Behavior. & Food. ️ Excellent. This place make our trip sooo Happy. Beyond words
Superb quality #1 ambience at Monsoon season Great service Vivid protocol are executed Room is Vivid condition Luxury cottage at entry level rooms too Loving to be next time too
Beautiful location, easy to access from Munnar town and nice ambience. Ideal place for those who needs privacy. Food is bit costly. Need to improve cleanliness. The tea cups kept in the room were not properly cleaned. There was a foul smell all around the compound. They haven't kept the pathways to the viewpoint clean. The mattress was over soft and we woke up with severe backpain
The best resort in Kerala I have visited. Awesome view of tea gardens, hills and natural beauty. Staff is very professional and different food varieties with good taste.
Difficult approach road, was stuck half hour, as tea plantation workers wr gathering there sacks onto a truck. Rooms are good, with a view of the tea estate. Food is ok, bit pricey, compared to other ones, maybe the same. Shall edit and add more.
The hotel location & ambiance is beautiful, the rooms are well planned & designed considering comfortable stay, The food taste is below average, however, Breakfast is good. The room service is also very good. Well maintained hotel. Good for weedend outing.
Location of the hotel is amidst Tea plantations (as can be guessed by the name itself). The premises is spell bounding and one can feel being closest to one of the beautiful and major components of the 'Nature'. Hotel's maintenance was good in general. We stayed in an executive room which was spacious and hygienic. We had breakfast and dinner, for the days we stayed there, and majority of the food items were tasty. Loved driving through the plantations' of the hotel's premises.
View from hotel is amazing, there is activity room to play indoor games, also they will arrange bonfire in evening. Food is not much good here; Breakfast is average, Dinner was very low quality and low taste (we ordered mannchow soup for starter but they dint have the fried sticks). Overall avoid eating here but you can have good time staying here.
Great place. Away from the hurry burry life. In the middle of tea plantations and awesome view. Really enjoyed the 1 night stay. Food was also really tasty.
Hard to reach this resort from Munnar town, (worst and risky road). Area around is good, resort layout is super, dirty room and bathroom (pics attached). Food tastes good, but too costly, will not repeat this mistake again.
The location and the amenities are great. The resort is really peaceful, neat and pretty. It’s good to go and watch sunset from the top floor and the balcony in each room was really nice. Although the bathroom was spacious, it needs a bit of maintenance. And to operate the tv requires lot of technical skills. Wifi is pretty weak and needs improvement. Food options are fairly limited and breakfast time needs to be extended by atleast half an hour
Very beautiful location, Neat and cleanly maintained resort, Eye catching view from balcony, Good service, Only a place to improvise is food/menu and night fire camp. One of the great place to stay.
The good thing about the place is the are it is located in. Very nice view, quite and in the middle of the mountain. Also they provide a free lift service down to the main road as the area can not be reached by bigger vehicles. But the other service and the rooms have a lot of space for improvements. For example there is no minibar although it is promoted with one. As alternative they offered to put our drinks into the kitchen fridge but even after 8h the stuff was nearly cold. Also the furniture is quite old and the bathrooms are ready for a renovation. The service guys are trying to help but not everyone speaks English and also the cleaning and the response to a service request can be improved. For example we waited 1h for a dish and even after several requests for a status the only answer was ist getting prepared. The food itself is good though and also the pricing is fair.
Its a wonderful resort amid the nature and tea gardens. The fun activities add value to the price. Food is good as well. The approach road is bad. Go via Head works dam and Pothamedu view point, route, follow the directions from pothamedu view point and avoid going through Attukkad waterfalls.road condition is worse in that route and very confusing.
Not ideal place if you want to drive and stay. Very narrow road.difficult to manage. I am been there for 2 night with my family.room is spacious with separate balcony, you can see the view of tea plantation. Food service is good.
The ambience and locality is great, no second thought. Food is standard. Rooms are standard. Room have balcony with the view. Bathrooms are okay. There was a problem with hot water (it was running very slowly). Shower in the bathroom was not working fine. The road to this place is not great (they are narrow with potholes) ; Tip: call the hotel before starting the journey to know if any of the roads to this place is closed.
Full stars for location.it is really in the valley of tea gardens. Road to the location is really narrow. Three stars for the restaurant as food was not that tasty. You can have romantic dinner here.they arrange for cabs which can take you to different places for sight seeing.the price Ranges between 2000-3500.the location makes it difficult to access during night times because of the mist.so the end time to come back to the hotel will be around 7-8pm.
Low priced clean and comfortable Resort in Munnar in Kerala. Very nice view of tea gardens and valley. Not far from town. Food is good. You can plan to walk to enjoy. Book in advance. Look for Deals. Ask for local sight seeing trips. Clouds come to you in the evening. Atmosphere is friendly. Careful driving required.
It was a really amazing experience. U can see the view of tea plantation and in night a perfect way to relax. Food service is good. I am been there for 2 nights with my family.room is spacious with separate balcony. Very narrow road. If Ur not an expert driver difficult to manage.
The place is lovely for the rate. It's serves good food also.hosts are very welcoming. N they listen to all our concerns. Only drawback is the road to it. At some parts only one vehicle can pass through it and is steep. So u need to be an expert driver to be able to go there
Such a great place! It has amazing views, the room was clean, but I think something that really make this place better is the staff, seriously, all were very helpful and friendly, I would love to come back here, the WiFi sometimes doesn’t work but you don’t need it if you have this extremely beautiful view. The only point I would say you guys have to improve is the time serving the food, I waited for around 30m for a chicken with fries, also people YOU NEED to change the menu, all the menus are old and almost all are ripped out, this is the first impression someone has about the kitchen and with this menus I got worry for how the food was going to be, but all was tasty. For breakfast it’s nice you can ask for eggs:) but please add the beans daily.
Munnar is a usual destination that me and my folks usually head too. Perhaps most of you guys might have too. Since ride to Munnar is a usual thing we thought we'll try something different and stay at a resort this time.
We decided to drive to Tea Valley Resort since it had high rating and economical (based on the standards they keep) as well. Its located in Pallivasal which is a bit away for munnar town. So remember to buy things like Food and Beverages prior to reaching the area if you are thinking of barbequing yourself.
The Tea Valley is stretched around hills which gives it a unique structure of rooms with stairs going up and down. They also provide adventurous activity on demand and extra payment. The food was good and the rooms were brilliant. They provide Camp fire and barbeque (which would cost extra dime) as well. They provide Soft and Hard trekking options in the morning with proper guide across the place. The structure itself is a sight to see with rooms up and down across your sight and good employees to satisfy your needs.
I would recommend others to make a trip to the place and enjoy a luxe day.
PS: Summers are hot even at night comparitvely to other parts of Munnar. Though early mornings are filled with cold winds across your face.
Oh it's lovely! Fantastic Views from the resort. Beautiful Rooms. Friendly and Sincere Staff. Chef Ramdas needs special mention, the Kerala Cuisine was great. We had delicious Pulicherry, Thoran, Mango Rice, Rasam, Curry Leaf Rice. Thank you very much for everything.
Tea valley has an amazing location. The resort staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. The resort is located within the tea estate and has a beautiful landscape which is worth exploring during the early morning hours (6-7.30am). You can easily spot rare and endangered birds like the barbets and red whiskered bulbuls while you relish the beautiful sunrise from the top deck. The service was quick and all our special requests were catered to within no time. I would definitely recommend Tea Valley for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Munnar
Stayed here in month of jan 19 for 2 days.beautiful cottage in midst of tea garden with world class facility. Pl take half an hr from your schedule to visit full resort it will be awasome experience.
Service was not upto the mark. No hot water in my room. Important is that the road was blocked and we landed in a narrow dead end. They should have intimated us, the alternative route to reach the hotel.very irresponsible people. I give 1 out of 5.
Great location, staff are pleasant and surroundings are peaceful. They have a games room with Carrom board, chess, TT table etc. There's also an adventure area which is accessible outside of the monsoon season. Nice view of sunset from the higher areas. Voltage fluctuation at night a bit of an issue, but staff were kind enough to keep generators on as we wanted to watch late night football. Food was the only disappointing aspect here, the chicken we had on 2 occasions was rubbery and nearly caused me to choke, the reason being they boil the chicken pieces before cooking and this makes it the consistency of rubber. Also buffet breakfast was better than a la carte as ordering and getting specific items took too long. Except for the food, this place is brilliant. Recommended yu go during the day for check-in as the estate is only accessible through a narrow, steep and winding road and if another vehicle comes along in the opposite direction, its a bit of a nightmare.
