Nice ambience. We walked in, booked a table, looked at the menu, ridiculously overpriced, and we took off.

One of the best places for vegetarian food in wayanad. We had to struggle a lot for finding vegetarian food but this place was satisfactory and fulfil your cravings. You also have varieties available in vegetarian.

Kerala Poratta was Good, but beef on the beef roast was very hard. Other items we tried were good, Chicken 65 and beef dry fry. Nice ambience.

One and only restaurant in Waynad Kalpetta, with great ambience affordable prices and awesome taste. Costs just 200 to 250 per head for awesome food.

The place is really well designed for having food and meeting with people. But the menu card is just for name. Most of the item are not available. We must ask what is available and then order. However, the dishes are not cooked/prepared as per the dish name. They all taste different than expected. Well for space and staff 3 star is recommended. They do have basement parking for guests. We only used the restaurant not the stay.

The food was served hot but felt like food was reheated and served. The staff was not available for assistance and had to keep waiting for someone to be seen and provide ordered items. Both the Noodles and biryani didn't taste good.

One of the worst dining experience i had here during my trip.
Hotel staff are not trained and they don't care about the customers.
We stayed nearby so wanted to have a try.
From getting food delayed to the service everything was pathetic.
After ordering food even to put plates and glass we had to follow up.

At the main marketplace of Kalpetta, Wayanad in Kerala. Attached to a hotel. Very nice decoration in white. We went around 5 pm when obviously lunch service was over, yet they took the trouble of preparing food for us. The Chinese food items were light and of high standards. The behavior of both the manager and service person was nice.

Went for trying out the youtubers favourite apam and chicken stew but since i went during noon it was not available ended with beef briyani but it was not cooked properly very rubbery not recommended my experience with restaurant was bad

Horrible service. It took more than 45 minutes to get our dishes and customer service is pathetic. They don’t know how to handle service. Waiting time is just too much. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I feel if you are understaffed then please reduce number of tables so that only that many customers can be handled.

Absolutely pathetic place for Vegetarian indian food. I had ordered veg manchpw soup which was tasting like chicken broth. My husband is a jain, we had to throw away the soup as it tasted strange with a lingering iron like taste to it. We had ordered kolhapuri vegetable, which had coconut gravy, a thing which doesn't go so well in a Punjabi curry. The chapattis were good though.
Overall a definite no for vegetarians!

Manager told us to try "special" and "fresh" fish wrapped in banana leaf which was not part of the menu. Hoping for a touristy experience, we dug in without enquiring further. We were shocked to be charged rs. 750 at the end and when we protested he just said that "special costs more, paaji".

Would highly discourage tourists from going to an average eating place that cheats customers like this.

We arrived at 10.15 no one acknowledged us. Eventually we spoke to the person making toast and were told only a buffet breakfast was available, nothing from the breakfast menu. There was very little left so they agreed to make some fresh toast, pooris and dosa for us. The toast was soggy and barely toasted. The pooris were fine but the bhaji was tasteless. The dosa was edible but cold and covered in black specks which looked like something had burned on the tawa and they hadn't cleaned it off properly. The sambhar was tasty but cold. On the whole the place is badly managed and staff are not attentive. Tables had not been cleared even though when we arrived there were very few customers. The toilets were clean but one was broken. No toilet paper and soap dispensers were empty. Toilet doors were not clean. This used to be a good restaurant but standards over the last couple of years have declined drastically. I would suggest this place is avoided until their standards improve.

Great ambience and polite staff. Food however was extremely bad, overpriced and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The fried rice, chilly chicken and Tandoori chicken was not tasty. For the price would definitely expect more in terms of quality.

Worst service. They didn’t even take the order. When we called the staff to take the order he denied since it would take 1 hour to deliver.

They won’t mention that the restaurant is closed for orders but they will allow the guest and then make them sit but neither won’t take orders nor delivers the food.

They will indirectly tell you find other place for food.please don’t fall for their ambience.

The restaurant's ambience cannot make up for what it lacks in taste, value for money and service.

Pros:
1) Close to Kalpetta's new bus stand.

Cons:
1) Taste - undercooked and probably spoilt chicken. None of us were able to finish the dish.
2) Value for money - compared to restaurants in metropolitan cities, the dishes are not too pricey. But when compared to similar restaurants in Wayanad, with actually good food, Bungalow restaurant's value for money is terrible.
3) Service - disrespectful and rude staff. We ordered a fish item that was on the menu, but were served and billed for a different costlier item. When we asked why they hadn't informed us, the waiter just shrugged and walked away.

From our short visit to the restaurant, other customers also seemed to be facing similar problems with service.

Don't waste your money. But more than money.

Please don't go to their restaurant. I had a terrible experience. We have waited for 1 hr but after that we have got only partial orders even after one hr.

Pathetic service. Food delivery takes too much time even if restaurant is empty. Lack of basic courtesy among one gentleman with a funky hairdo - takes himself too seriously for waiting on people. Boneless dishes will be served with bone, and when you send it back they will manually scrape out the bones, create a mess of the dish and re-serve the same thing. What a joke and waste of money!

The worst restaurant ever I went for dinner.
After waiting for approx 30-40 min the manager come and say we don't have food for you.
If you want you may leave or wait for 1hr +.

Ordered Pomfret, Beef Ularth and Chicken Kondattam, finished off with milkshakes with icecream. Will love the ambience and the service, with the variety offered in the menu. Some items are not available, but the ordered items didn't disappoint either. 1 star dropped, because we can find that, there can be an improvement in taste and flavour plus beef ularth was not upto mark. Opening salad and parking is another plus you can get here in busy town of Kalpetta

It's a very nice place. We had lunch there, and also packed our dinner. Everything was mouth watering. Super quick service at very affordable price. Staff are humble and manager is super nice. As we were tourist, he helped us in every possible way. A must visit restaurant in Wayanad, Kerala.

Felt like owner of the restaurant has given keys to certain set of inexperienced people for restaurant management. Dear owner please review your choice.

Absolutely pathetic. Firstly, the management is extremely poor. They will not even bother about the number of people waiting in the queue. Secondly, the manager of the restaurant refuse to serve anything except biryani and not even beverages. Worst experience

Veg thali was very tasty. The presentation of the thali was very impressive. All the items we wanted from the menu were available even in the odd hours, as we visited them after 3pm. Very courteous staff.

Extremely bad service. Food is also very average. They took more than 30 mins to serve the food when there weren't many guests in the hotel. Not worth the price as well. Not at all recommended.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. First no one comes to take the order. Then he takes it and another one comes and says half the items you ordered are not available. Then they take more than half an hour to bring starters, even more to bring buttermilk ‍. When asked, they bark rudely saying we do first come first serve, your food would take 40 mins or more. And all this while there are only 2 tables which are occupied.

The quantity of food is laughable and though it was tasty. It wasn't worth the hour long wait we had to suffer

Good food and nice ambience. Location is also at the centre of the town. Valet Parking also available.

So expensive. I waited for many many minutes to get my food. No toilet. Clean interior is the only positive thing.

Badly cooked food with little taste and inflated prices. Staff do not all speak good English and service was generally inattentive. Hand wash area had no towels to dry hands and toilets did not have toilet paper however apart from that restaurant is generally clean.

If you want to eat elachi Bae’s food, then you should definitely visit this place.
All the food is overpowered with Elachi and there is no salt in the meat

Great place with good ambience but food was extremely bad. Biriyani was rotten, chicken was hard, soup was cold and fish fingers was very less in quantity for the price.

I give a full 5* for the ambience and layout of the Restaurant. Vast choice of food to select from. Washrooms were extra clean and away from dining area. Ample seating arrangements, cradle for babies, decent quality crockery and cutlery, well mannered staff etc.are a few points that I found worth mentioning. Parking facility is available. Located in the heart of Kalpetta town on the Highway this place would be an ideal choice for travellers. Rates are not on a very high side but it's not cheap either. I felt that the portion size could have been a little more for the price a customer pays.

Strictly speaking personal, I found the taste to be average to satisfactory and yes maybe it's because of the food I chose or the time I ordered the dish

Ordered indriya special Thali meals. Rs290. It's not up to the mark. Not enough items. Also providing a bill took itself took almost half an hour after we finished lunch.

We were a group of around 45 people. We ordered our food on the phone. The ambience of the hotel is comparatively better, but their service and food is absolute disgrace.

The total bill was around 20000 rupees for 45 people. We had only chicken biryani, fried rice and meals. It is very expensive and the hotel did not offer a single discount over the bill.

They did not offer free drinking water also.

The service was so pathetic that we got the the curries first and then the rice and rotis.

Hopefully the owner of the hotel will take this into consideration and make the needful to do better service.

This is a lovely restaurant with such a lovely ambiance. The decor is marvellous. Loved the breakfast they served - it had all varieties of healthy fruits, juices, Appam, stews, South Indian and much more. We had a great time here.

The restaurant section is family friendly. They don't allow alcohol in there and the bar is on a separate floor altogether.

The food is very much satisfactory, the ambience and the staff are quite professional and helpful. The staff in the parking lot are helpful and friendly. This place is right by the side of the main route so accessibility was not an issue at all.

We didn't stay at the hotel but stopped to have dinner on the way. The place is clean, neat and of a good professional standard.
The menu has the standard variety of dishes including South Indian, North Indian and Continental. They offer pasta and salads although they're not available late at night.

In short, it is a very good business class establishment in Wayanad.

Amazing service. Best staffs. We wanted to have English breakfast, so came here. We were bit late, so all the food items were not possible, but still they managed to serve us with a warm smile on face. Specially Bankara, Bala, Riba. Really very good service.

We came here for dinner. Great option for vegetarians. Food was tasty. But we couldn't find the North Indian phulka. Rest it was all good.

Probably they have a really wonderful kitchen, because their wait staff prefer to stay in kitchen than in the dining area. I happened to ask for water during breakfast service. The lady staff literally disappeared and later ignored us after reappearing. On the other day I had to get water myself. Chicken was undercooked, as good as raw, in hyderabadi biryani as well as in malabar chicken. Seriously how tough is to cook chicken. Let us not even go to the authenticity of hyderabad biryani. Jeera rice with grilled chicken doesn't make hyderabad biryani. Frankly no one outside hyderabad gets it right, so I don't really blame them. But a restaurant that cannot cook the regional favourite (malabar cuisine in kerala) doesn't deserve to be in business.
The veg jalfrezy they serve here should be given to traffic violaters, as a punishment they will respect traffic rules all their life after that. No wonder it runs mostly empty except during the complementary breakfast.
Coming to the service, I had to go to the kitchen to get hold of a staff to ask for a spoon. The waiting staff who brought the food to the table during dinner didn't wait to serve it. Maybe he was in hurry to pack up so he thought it was right to run away. "Help yourself" is the motto here. This restaurant should be avoided like plague, chef fired and restaurant burnt down. It's a blot on such a superb hotel.
