Ordered Aloo tikki chaat, chilly baji & lime juice. Both aloo tikki & baji was not good. The aloo tikki used in the chaat was very bad, felt it was not freshly made. Mulaku baji was mainly the batter and a half sliced chilly. Staff was sitting on the phone. Felt there was no manager to look after the shop. And i was the only customer there at 4pm. Feels like they will shut the shop anytime soon.
Four out of five Neat and clean Food and snacks are nice Coffee and tea is also good Ambiance is also neat and clean Service is also good Rate of food is Lil high but it's quite affordable Over all is good Parking is also no tension space is available
Not good for family with children, the place is a den of drunkards and smokers. Customer service is Nill. This place literally destroys the positive ambience of Rama Devi Mandapam and Ganapathy Kovil on that street.police should raid the place at evening or night. Public smoking and drinking is rampant around this hotel
I have visited the place today (27 April) for an evening tea, after entering the place being a first timer I went and sat on a table and it was told to pay first and will be served after- did so. My order was for a Ginger Tea and Chilli baji (They have a different name for it). Order for tea came wrongly- added sugar. Chilli baji was utter flop- Just a tiny chilly fried with a lot of flour.
The person at bill counter too had a rude style. I had a unpleasant experience- Over hyped.
Chai company is ok in my opinion but i have a question for you guys, why you are not opening on sunday because every good cafés are opening on Sundays but you guys were closed on Sundays. Last 2sundays i visited to you cafe with my friends but not open then i went to kenery cafe in MG road. And they were open all days until morning 3am. So i have a suggestion, atleast pls open on sundays.
Arabic Coffee here is a must try for 35 bucks! Malabar snacks too, not the same as we could have had from Malabar or atleast from Calicut. Still okay for snacking. Not okay with timings. They work till 9 PM and Arabic Coffee would get over by 7.30/8 PM!
First time visit here. Simple and nice ambience. Nice selection of teas. And surprisingly very pocket friendly! We had the Herbal tea and the special lime tea. Both were simple and tasted as per their respective names. They have simple selection of snacks and and chaats to go with the teas. We tasted the Ada, which was really tasty. I would definitely visit again and recommend this place for a visit for their variety of teas. Definitely a nice addition to the Punkunnam area.
Enjoyed the atmosphere as I visited during weekend and it was not too crowded. Loved the interior of the place. Ordered vada paav, mirchi bajji and pani puri. Vada paav was delicious! Bajji would have been better if served hot, Pani puri was good as well. Overall it was a good experience.
Chai company had this nice Tea and Chaat menus. But now they don't have chat corner anymore. Other than that it's a nice place with ample parking and good ambience.
My favourite neighbourhood tea shop. I go here for quick drinks on-the-go and also to buy some of their snacks. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The seating is perfect when the weather’s nice.
Food is Good, but the service is not upto the mark. There is coordination and seriousness in their overall attitude. Seems to be very casual and couldn't find professionalism and bit overpriced for the items they serve.
The chai company is a small tea shop at Poonkunnam, near Westend Super Market, Thrissur, Kerala State, India. No parking facilities. Park your vehicle at own risk on the road side. The main drawback is payment mode; ONLY CASH! No card/ NFC. This place is recommend for small bites, coffee and tea. Vada pav is good. Menu: Pav baji Pani poori Chats Samoosa Vada Banana fry Juices Varieties of Burger Varieties of Cutlet Coffee Tea. Easy to reach. 500 meters to Poonkunnam Junction and 250 meters to Poonkunnam Railway station. Limited seating facilities. Working hours: 9 am to 11 pm. Don't go for Lunch and Dinner. (Indian style). 1.5 kilometers to the city heart, Swaraj Round. The Chai Company is serving food at affordable rate.
The most pathetic place I have ever visited. The staff is very lazy and are not bothered to check on customers. Very sexist behaviour of the staff where they give preference to the male customers than the women sharing a table. Received our order of samose (pre-made) and lime soda after waiting for 15-20 minutes and then getting up to complaint about the same. And also received the somosa on a plate with someone's hair on it Sent it back right away
Nice shop for evening refreshments. The coffee served here is one of my favorite. They've different types of chats and snacks to have with tea/coffee. Restaurant is clean and have average furnishing. Not a crowded place so you can go with your friends for a evening snack. I think the shop will fit approx 30 people inside and some outside. Not recommended for large group gatherings. Parking space is very less, but you'll find place in road near to this shop. Items are little expensive compared to other shops even the coffee is charged 35 Rs which is quite expensive from other branded tea shops. Customer service is good and staff is friendly.
In my opinion, this is more over an overrated restaurant in the city. Average. Ambiance is okay (corrected). The quality of the food and making isn’t that nice. I had a mint lime and it was the worst ever i had till date. Asked for extra sugar to try. But failed. Pav bajji isnt that tasty. Billing staff isn’t supportive. In short, I didn’t like this place and I’m sure I’m gonna never visit this place again.
First of all i would like to tell that the place has a minimalist design and nice ambiance. You have to order and pay first, i ordered tea, save puri and samosa chat. After billing they said samosa chat isn't available. Either i could choose something else they would refund.very unprofessional. Tea was good. But Sev Puri was horrible.
Sev Puri was nice and their Tea is really good and with lot of variety. Bombay Vada Pav is nice but Cheese Vada Pav is not worth the money. You should take orders at the table to avoid rush at the counter.
Dang the chaat they serve here is so heavy on the masala we ordered 3 samosa chaats and we weren’t able to finish what we ordered even after I specifically requested for something on the milder side.
Ordered samosa chat, mixed chat, samosa and pani puri, Pineapple le Orange juice, ginger tea and masala tea Samosa chat the WORST one I ever had over masala and they explain it as spicy Mixed chat same taste as samosa chat nothing different WORST. Samosa was just ok Pani puri was also ok Masala tea you can imagine how it would be if the chat had over dose of masala! Juice it was ok Tragedy Overall experience the worst place I ever stopped for some chat and tea. Will never recommend to try out these dishes here!
I liked the concept and the way the interiors are done. The place for me is a perfect little place for having a tea and get lost in thoughts. Though it is very near to westend supermarket and there is a reasonable crowd most of the time, I like the way the tables are arranged. Only a few tables and feel spacious enough. Randomly came across this place and loved it. The tea is great but the filter coffee is just average. The snacks are tasty and a little above the average price. But that seems okay for the atmosphere.
