The Lost Hostel, Varkala - Helipad

The first impression was as I would enter in some kind of a private social community.after meeting few young people I was surprised that guests are mostly solo travellers.that means this place has an extra vibe and probably a tradition of melting together the different cultures of travellers.the staff Pintu and Lavish will show you what hospitality is, they are kind by hearth and attentive to all your concerns and wishes.my ac room was super clean and though the guests in the garden were having fun late in the night my sleep was not disturbed.it is also probably one of the best possible locations with private access and scootie parking just in the center of Varkala main cliff promenade.it is pretty clear that this hostel has an ambition to set higher standards for travellers than being just another dorm place.

The best hostel we stayed at in our entire India trip - the vibe is top and it's a complete hub for socialising and meeting people. The location is right next to all the best restaurants and moments from the beach, with a cliff top sunset view from across the road. Great hangout space full of activities. Even a kitchen you can use, though no nearby grocery stores. The staff could be a little slow but they're friendly, we would have stayed for much longer but did find the price a little high for the backpacker budget - but if you can afford it it's so worth it for the connections you will make.

Amazing stay at lost hostel in Varkala. Everyone is very kind and welcoming and makes you feel very at home. In a perfect location looking out on the sea.

Lost hostel feels like home. I have been to several hostels but there’s something about this one which won’t let you leave so soon. A big thanks to Pintu and Neel for balancing it out. Most friendly and helpful people ever. The location is just perfect. 10/10 recommended

Wondeful place to stay.great atmosphere with full of musical instruments, kitchen facility. 100% you can take away lot of memories from here. Situated cliff area which will be very easy to roame around the black sand beaches s well as varkala beach.

Very good place to stay. Both the host, Neel and Surbhi were great. Surbhi conducted a beautiful Bachata session. Overall, it was a a great experience and would recommend people to visit

Great stay at Lost Hostel Varkala. Stayed in the private room, nice and cool at night with the A/C. Lots of entertainment at the hostel with table tennis, darts, various board games etc.

The Place has an amazing vibe. Solo travelers feel at home here and the staff are prompt and super fun to hang out with. Niel and Pintu gave great suggestions and made my stay very comfortable. Totally recommend this place if you're thinking of coming to Varkala for a Workation or weekend.

I recently stayed at this charming hostel in Varkala and was blown away by its breathtaking ocean view. The private room I had was comfortable and well-maintained. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the sunset from the hostel's terrace was truly magical. The hostel is very near to cliff. You can get everything near the hostel in few walking steps. The hostel is good. The front dest pintu is very helpful, if you want he will arrange Munroe backwaters boating and he will arrange for kayaking also. Just Don't think and have a try when to visit Varkala.

Cost saving accommodation and service. Rooms are good enough. The kitchen is open to cook. We even cooked maggi for breakfast. Nice ambience and nice staff. Will visit again

The hostel is right beside the helipad (50m down a narrow road), makes it convenient and ocean view. The host is really welcoming and there are many nearby place to explore within proximity

The staff at the hostel was quite friendly, helpful and flexible. However, for the price charged, the room (4-bed female dorm) wasn't upto the mark, can work on making it better. The bathroom had no ventilation.

The Lost Hostel stands an outright recommendation for me for all the bachelors / backpackers and couples (not so much families). The check-in process is smooth. We reached earlier than usual but they allowed us to freshen up and have an area to keep our bags. There is a common area for you to play games, read books and meet new people. There are 2 lazy and beautiful dogs at the entrance to always give you company. Their sea face room is truly sea facing with a majestic view. The front desk is really helpful and also the location is just at the entrance of Helipad road so easily accessible by bikes and walk. They do not have a restaurant inbuilt. Also they need to work on their AC maintenance and the hot water facility needs to be added. 5/5

Neel and Pinto are really nice people and helpful. Great location. Vibe is good. Rooms are okay. Do try out when you are in varkala.
