The Lungi Vibe Hostel

Lungi Vibe is a very good hostel with comfortable and clean rooms. The hostel is located on the cliff top, 5 minutes walk from the black sand beach. The owner is very helpful and flexible. Perfect place to explore Verkala.

The property is situated at a walking distance of 5 mins from the North Cliff trail. The ambience is green, tranquil yet vibey. The room and bathroom are not maintained adequately and cleaned properly but the host is hospitable enough to address these issues provided the guest raises it. For the room price offered, it was fine considering a 1 or 2 night stay.

We made a booking by paying an advance using Hostelworld. But the property denies the booking and is not ready to verify the booking ID. Property says they are not accepting Hostelworld bookings for 2 years but the property is listed for booking on the website. Has the property taken any steps to remove themselves from the listings? Answer is No. And the response from the reception is ridiculous.

I only came here to get some laundry done, cost 200rs for big load and was ready in a couple of hours. Good service

Calm and peaceful vibes. Very close to varkala cliff around 100m and close to the beach as well. Reasonable pricing with good and clean rooms. Caretaker was very helpful and generous.

Great chill budget accomodation close by to the beach, yoga and restaurants. A bit run down and could use some renovations especially with the kitchen area. Was good for the price we paid and the staff were very helpful.

I haven’t stayed in the hostel, since it was already completely booked. Nevertheless, they allowed me to keep my bag at their facilities while searching for something else and were in general very kind and made sure that I find something!

Quiet, clean and friendly.the staff was ever helpful and the rooms were clean and well designed.very relaxed vibe with lots of trees and shade. 200m from the cliff, shared common kitchen for tea and snacks.helped us a lot with cooking for infants.highly recommended.kitchen could've been better.

Very comfortable, quiet stay at a very reasonable price. We had to amend our dates in advance and the owners were accommodating. It is well run, and the laundry was the cheapest we've had in India would reccomend to anyone staying in varkala.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Hostel is just a few meters away from the cliff. The two Bros out there were very helpful.

Very friendly staff that gave a warm welcome to this chill hostel located just a few mins from the cliffs and beach. Staff were always happy to help during our stay! The hostel had a cute little outdoor communal area with cool artwork and games to play.

If you are on a budget trip to varkala then definitely this place is for you. The outdoor ambience of this hostel is simply the best. The rooms were decent for the price. Don't expect much. The service of the staff too is great. Dormitory+ private rooms are available here. Overall it was worth for the price, but please keep in mind the price varies based on the seasonal crowd.

Lungi Vibe is the place to go. So near to cliff, yet so silent and calm. Such a great place to chill and work. Been coming to Varakal for a decade. I can guarantee Lungi vibe is the best hostel/resort. The host Aneesh and Mithun are awesome. They are ao helpful and you will feel like you belong there.

I had a very good stay here. 100 meter away from north cliff. Owners were very friendly. Super tidy and had a good vibe with the lights and small cafeteria inside the compound. Definitely recommend this place.

Such a great place to stay if you are a traveller who wish to socialize. This is a budget hostel. So dont expect luxury rooms and all. But you can find people with big heart, Which is something hard to find. The host Aneesh is so nice. If you are someone who is looking for longstays, or worcation, this is the place. Its so near to cliff. Yet it is such a peaceful place. They have a common kitchen. Common worlplaces. Good wifi connection.

Booked the room on from Jan 17th - Jan 19th. On the 17th jan around 9am i received an email and msg stated that my booking was cancelled. When i called them, they simply said we gave your room to someone with better price. So, you can search for other option.

What a pathentic response is this. Two weeks before I booked the room on the check-in day they can simply cancel my reservation without my concern.is this how you treat your guest?

You simply ruined my trip.just imagine my situation.im new to kerala.i came by alone and you guy cancel on the checkin date.where should i go and find a room. The worst part is you didnt even gave me any alter room
