The Raviz Kovalam

The sunset view was very beautiful. Our flight was in the evening and the hotel allowed us to check out late. Overall our stay was very enjoyable. Thanks to all the staff of the hotel for making our stay very pleasant.
Food could have been better. There were too many gravy items and menu was repetitive. Awesome place

The ambiance and the view of this hotel is the best among the business. Rates are reasonable as the experience you get here justifies it

Location and Ambience super.
But service and attitude was very poor.
Shall not recommend to anyone. Sorry to say that when it was Leela palace things were really good but now when it's changed to Raviz.its hopeless.

Poor response from the team every time you call for making a reservation.have been trying for almost 3 months now. I beleive they are extremely short on staff and are hence only partially open.of the 2 bars and 2 restaurants advertised on the website only one is functional.that too in a limited capacity.

We celebrated 2021/2 new year's here. Its an amazing place. Good pools, nice buffet spread, decent service. Good access to beach and a clean beach! Sea view rooms have a good balcony area to sit and enjoy the view. Club rooms have amazing view of the beach. Only a small hiccup was when we arrived, the welcome and check-in experience wasn't that great. Felt the front desk was not friendly considering we had told them that we had travelled 5 hours by road with kids. They insisted on completing the formalities before even settling down and eating already late lunch!
Overall, staff were friendly and courteous. Binesh in the main restaurant was excellent. Good decent spread. We had a good time overall.

2 stars coz of the pathetic quality of food we had to endure for dinner.

The property is first class and so is the attitude and hospitality of the crew.
But when I pay through the roof the food quality just needs to be far better

We had to cut short our trip and hence they had to pay a part of the advance that was paid. They said it will reach me within 4 business days and its been over 15 days and i have been trying to get in touch with the staff and i have been not responded properly. Not even once people have helped me put regarding this! Worst staff response. And all they have done is put me on hold or cut off the call and now nobody is picking up. NOTHING WAS OPEN. Restaurants wer closed, no private beach - it was open to other public. And all these were not informed during the booking. After all the short comings, the staff’s response shouldve been better, but extremely disappointing!

Excellent cottages with fabulous view of Arabian sea. Also they have set an awesome view point to enjoy sunset. Best part was the care we felt from their staff and thanks for all their wonderful services. Sea facing restaurant with very good food. Special appreciation to the mind blowing tea served with breakfast.

Very good ambience and helpful staff. Stayed for 2 nights. Property is not fully accessible at the moment due to renovation. Expected to be open by November. Also food options are not much as they have limited menu at present due to reduced capacity but available menu were very delicious.

The customer service is very good. All dishes are very good especially the special item everyone should try is the Nirvana dish

Had a calming stay in an amazingly serene property with wonderful hospitality. Can't seem to get enough of the stunning views that one can admire from the villa, restaurant, private beach and view points!

Stayed in cottages, Good location very close to the sea with good view of the ocean and a small private beach, and they give kids few toys to play with sand, they have basketball, volleyball along the beach side. Rooms are good with much space, toilets are small but maintained clean and mint. September to February is a good time to visit. Staffs show good hospitality.

Overly priced for the facilities they provide. Food is tasty, but the number of items are less in buffet breakfast when compared to any other 4 star or 5 star.

The stay over here is good, but due to covid and construction work most of the activities are closed, the private beach is not clean.

The AC's weren't working in both the cottages and they weren't able to repair. We had to sleep with pedestal fans. The food was tasty but the options are very limited. The staff are courteous and try to help but the facilities aren't being maintained at all well.

Shortly the gust House will windup. Because those can afford the hotel price. Only they can enter to the premises. No politicians. No politricins. Pay the money.
Politicians have no money? No money in hand how can you serve the people.
So this PREMISES is PRECIOUS to me.
That's why there is no staff's from my family members.

We stayed here for two days. The hotel has a very nice view. The beach view compensate for most of the things. But apart from that service is quite sub standard. This is the first five star that just provide white Bread toast, nothing else. The one who is responsible for the restaurant and food is a very cunning guy and has excuse for all their mistakes. Food options are even lower than a local Dhaba. Out of two days stay we were told we are not keeping breakfast buffet for one day because of low occupancy, which no other reputed 5 star hotels would do. Hopefully they do improve their service wrt to food

Perfect place in Kovalam beach.
Entire staff from the reception, Sooraj, housing staff, restaurant staff, beach staff and security staff are very friendly and cooperative. The food (we are vegetarian) and the view is amazing. Thanks to the chef J P Singh ji. Extremely Beautiful place and amazing property!

We stayed in Raviz Kovalam for 2 days and it was an absolute delight. From the Security guards, everyone in staff were so cordial and warm that we felt right at home. They made sure we are well tended to, even surprised us with a floral bed arrangement, since its our anniversary.

The main part of the hotel is not open since its under maintenance, so we stayed in the beach view cottages. Private beach access is also good.

In the evening, we went to Sky Bar, which is in the main part of the resort. The view from there is absolutely breathtaking.

Overall an excellent experience from facilities to hospitality, which we don’t easily find even in some heritage 5-star hotels in Kerala.

The Leela Raviz is one of the best 5 star resort hotel in the Trivandrum. It's located near to the famous Kovalam Beach. And the restaurant in this hotel has an awesome sea view and it will cool our mind.

About the food, I went there for dinner and the food ordered was awesome. But dessert options are very less and not met my expectation. The Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani was super tasty and loved alot. Also, the praise roast, seer fish fry and lamb kebab.

About cost, you all know the price of a 5 star restaurant

Nice place by the beach. Staff are extremely warm and service is in their DNA. Aswathy from guest relations took good care of us and attended to all our requests while we were there. Rooms are cosy and spacious though the bathrooms were not as luxurious as you would expect them to be. Food was outstanding in each of the 4 meals we had. A big thumps up to Chef joginder pal singh and his team for keeping all guests and their tummies happy.

Me and My Wife stayed at The Raviz Kovalam, The property is really at a fantastic location at Kobalam. We stayed in the Beach houses. The Staff there are really too prompt and almost like Pamper you. They Room Service, The Restaurant, the Breakfast location (The tides) serve you the best food options.
The experience of Pampering starts right at the moment one checkin. They ensure that they make you comfy before the on boarding process. The best thing i loved was the 4-5 pm Tea and snacks available for all the Visitors. The Entire staff (Management) also mingles with you for there cuppa of Coffee or Tea. They take time off to check your comfort.here I would like to mention Ms. Aswati, she really was a super guide and advised us best for making the holiday a experience to remember.
The climate was very hot but the rooms are well Airconditioned.
This is a must visit property. I am sure will be definitely visiting again

Beautiful property. Unfortunately it was under renovation but I stayed in there Villa which was also a beautiful experience and really well looked after by the staff

Very good hotel having exotic property. Good restaurants, mouth watering foods, nice swimming pools, spacious rooms etc are few of the facilities. Good hospitality and friendly employees are icing on cake. Traditional cultural programs are performed for guests. Highly recommended hotel at Kovalam.

Great location, great ambience.but a premium property and services, so expect to shell out more money

One of the best resorts of Kovalam due to its private beach, breathtaking cliff views and splendid infinity pools. Rooms are comfortable, luxurious and with adequate amenities. Amazing service & hospitality. Food is delicious too with lots of varieties in cuisines. Various spots on the property to get good clicks is an additional perk. Definately recommended and a must visit place!

One of the best hotels in Kovalam. Its a huge hotel with breathtaking views and sceneries. I feel in love the view from the hotel and the front lobby is good and spacious. There are a lot of good points where you can take good snaps. The food here is good but to be frank it needs improvement. The chicken 65 I bought was too dry and hard to eat. The desert was really yummy and I appreciate that. The staffs of the hotel was friendly and they are always with you and helps you in any need. I really don't know much about the rooms here as I just came to have my dinner. It was a superb experience in total. Thanks and Cheers ️

Everything else is good but for food. Its average compared to other star hotels around. Some of the dishes are good but overall it's not up-to mark what i expected.

One of the best beach resort in India. Location is one to die for! The staff is “generally” great, food good, rooms are the weak link though. Not that rooms are bad per-se, but are old and can do with a lick of paint and some elbow grease and a screw driver. Rooms has great view of beach and even better if you stay in the club rooms. Overall a great hotel.

The property, its location everything is awesome. You will just fall in love with place.
But when it comes to the food, it is hopeless.

Amazing place with amazing views. Just loved the calmness of the place. The I finity pool is one of the best for viewing the gorgeous sunset. The staff is one of the most accommodating. There are so many things to do here. It's your one shop destination for a family get together or a romantic honeymoon.

Kudos to The Leela for this wonderful place.

The place is done well and the arrangements are really nice. The entry into Leela Kovalam is impressive. We had buffet dinner there.but i would say it was not really up to the Leela mark. The furnitures were also a little shaky. The Kathakali show was a great experience. In overall.its a nice place to visit.if you keep your taste buds aside.its a nice place to spend time with your family.

Beautiful place. Nice scenary. Good rooms (although no bathtubs in the sea view room I had, bit of a bummer). Enjoy the beautiful view of Arabian Sea from the room. However, the food here is the better than the rooms. Even if you are not planning on staying here, come here for the buffet spread which is sumptuous. Some of the best Kerala food I've eaten in Kerala.

One of the best 5 resorts in India. The view from the room is awesome. The hospitality is very good. They have 3 swimming pool in the resort. One of the big resorts in India. The food is awesome. They have a beach connected to the resort. A must place visit for everyone.

The facilities are outstanding. Tight security experinced during Indian Cricket Players staying there after the match at Sports Hub, Thiruvananthapuram. Reccommended for experiencing warm hospitality.

Great property.close to the beach with access to eateries outside. But.the rooms are small and dated. Definitely needs revamping, specially the bathroom.

Good location, unfortunately managed by really immature people say from front desk to security personnel at entrance and near beach restaurant try to be real intrusive and freak you out trying to interrogate you, not a great way to relax on vacation.

We only had lunch there but it was really nice from what we saw. The staff was friendly and they had a nice beach area. Can't speak of the rooms as we didn't stay overnight.

Needs updating the rooms are not 5 star. Expensive for what you get. Property is beautiful but private beach is dirty to the point of not even being able to walk on it. A bell rings in the morning to announce the end of breakfast. Horrendous for a 5 star hotel. Bathrooms are strange with an bath sunk into the floor with a shower over head. Needs updating. Bad experience while reserving a table for dinner. I called the number provided in their website to reserve a table for dinner, the guy who picked up the phone, without me completing the sentence he transferred the call to another department. I inquired about the restaurant to the lady to whom the call was transferred and she said she'll transfer it to the correct department. Surprisingly, the call landed up to the same guy with whom I spoke initially and once again he said he'll transfer to the correct department.

I was just trying to reserve for dinner and what I got was "call transferring game".

The hotel may be good. However the service is poor. Very poor.

Eventually I ended up in booking at Hilton Garden.
