The Renai cochin

A great place to stay in Kochi with in city limits. Very good choice of vegetarian and non- vegetarian food. There is also a sea food restaurant. Ample parking space too. Breakfast is very good. Friendly behaviour of staff is worth mentioning. Few steps to metro station makes it even more convenient

We had a unique experience with Renai Cochin. On October 20, I traveled to Cochin for a condolence visit. My friend helped me book a room by making an advance payment of Rupees one thousand. Initially, our plan was to arrive in Cochin around 1: 00 AM, rest briefly, and then proceed to my relatives' place in the morning.

To our disappointment, upon reaching Salem (traveling from Bangalore), it was already 9: 00 PM. Considering the traffic, we estimated reaching our destination by 3 or 4 AM. With just a planned 2-hour stay (as we intended to return to Bangalore after the funeral service), keeping the room booked seemed impractical. Consequently, I canceled the reservation around 9: 15 PM on the same day, within 6 to 7 hours. The person assured me that the booking amount would be transferred the next morning once Mr. John arrived. I called John the same day, and he responded with a message saying, "I am driving, will call back. "

However, over a month has passed, and despite numerous attempts to follow up, there has been no response. My friend contacted the manager at Renai Cochin, and most of the time, there was no response to his messages.

After October 21, I spoke with several individuals who assured me that the money would be refunded. Excuses about Dusshera Holidays, the account team being on leave, and the need to open the account were provided, but no action was taken. Frustrated, I asked my friend to follow-up.

The issue boils down to Rupees one thousand: a commitment is a commitment. If a promise is made to return the money, it should be fulfilled, plain and simple.

I stayed at this hotel for a reunion. The hotel has a nice location and is right next to a mall. Reception experience was good. Was offered coffee which was really needed after a flight. The lobby is spacious.

The first thing about the room was the complimentary water. This way is very welcoming and a great gesture. The setup of the room was very comfortable to use for relaxing or working. Sufficient plug point and USB ports. The bed was very comfortable.

Amenities in the bathroom had everything you need even if you didn't bring your own kit.

Breakfast buffet was excellent and my room package included a Happy Hour.

Courteous staff and I was well taken care of.

We visited their Chinese restaurant. Our order was Thai rice. Schezwan beef. It was such a horrible dish we had to call the chef and ask him does he know what is made. He was an Indian cook from North and said here local prefer such.

Had my friend's marriage fixing ceremony at the top auditorium, it's spacious and looks decent. And the food was good too, and the pick of the lot was without doubt the Pork Varattiyathu which was just mouth watering. I had been here at a very young age once when it was The Renaissance, and I must say feels like it when you are again there now.

Nice hotel in Cochin. Well maintained, clean and so beautiful.the hotel is converted (temporary) for the covid 19 vaccination.

One of the good old hotels in Kochi.they offer a great variety on their menu and quality food always! A great place for events as well!

We were here for buffet dinner at The Pavilion restaurant. Good ambience. Excellent Food with wide range of variety food in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian section. Non-veg section has fish, chicken, mutton, pork items. Desserts also has many items. Excellent service also.

In one word it's a Nice auditorium.
Situated in a very reachable road, Auditorium can hold 2 programs at a time or can conduct a single program in a grand way. There are 2 halls seperated by a wall. Once can arrange food and function separately. There's also a parking lot structure which can accomodate bikes and cars. It's also air conditioned convention centre.

Extremely inconsistent food. The quality and taste has dropped to average. Parking space is crammed up when there are functions or events in the hall.

Stayed at The Renai before, the spacious executive rooms are great with comfortable beds, a nice clean bathroom with plenty of hot water in a good shower, excellent airconditioning and decent enough breakfast. Plus, the hotel has parking. And the staff are helpful.

Excellent buffet lunch. Way better than what they serve at Marriott and that too at half the price ️

Rooms are average by all means. Corridors are stinking and lobby furniture is dirty. Gives over all shady appearance.

My room was newly refurbished, hence it was clean and nice. Staff hospitality was top notch. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Most thoughtful thing was that they allowed me to checkout late.

A reputed hotel with great tradition. Their buffet lunch is value for money. Wide variety of tasty food. Ample parking space. Very close to palarivattom metro station. But hard to reach by car through traffic.

It's a very old hotel but still grandiose. Facilities are plenty and good parking space. Hotel staff are nice and helpful. Food was good.

Rooms looks nice but are small and not that well maintained, there r lot of sharp edges where u can hit ur leg in room. There 4 restaurants inside the Hotel where u can try different cuisine. They have a friendly staff.

Very near to S N Junction Palarivattam & just adjacent to Metro station Palarivattam & bus stop, ample space for car parking, six storied building.restaurant and boarding, banquet hall facilities etc etc.

Renai is a sure place for tasty food. It is a great thing that they are able to retain everything as it is. Though not a regular visitor as it used to be, my first visit to Renai was in 1999. At that time we have frequented this place more than now and every visit to this restaurant was as delightful as now. Keep it up Team Renai, for, nothing can substitute the contentment of having a good tasty meal.

A decent place to stay, especially for short term visits. It is well accessible by the metro. We didn't eat at any of the in-house restaurants though because there are plenty of eateries nearby to this hotel. Because of its proximity of the metro, it is easy to get to the nearest malls without having to spend our time sitting idly in the traffic. The rooms are all well-appointed and come with centralized AC. The spacious car parking space can be a blessing, likewise. Give this place a try; you are not going to be disappointed.

Most just assume that it's just a middle class hotel based on the size of their lobby, and will be unwilling to stay because of their room rates. Despite it's outside appearance, it is a 4 star classified hotel that has been around for more than 2 decades, and is pretty close to 5 stars in terms of both service and hospitality. The staff's very welcoming and happy to be of help, and their food was of premium quality. Of you're looking for a professional setting, this is one place you don't want to ignore. They also offer other services like taxi service, banquet halls, well, pretty much everything that's found in a high class hotel

Pathetic food served in the bar, is extremely sub standard and low quality food. Please avoid visiting this place. The bar tender himself accepted this place sucks after sharing our feedback.

Separate Bar and a buffet on most evenings. Food is good. Ample car parking and very approachable. Ambience in the bar is ok with predominantly middle-aged men. Very young men not very usually seen.hence Place has a semblance of peace. Place is well laid out. Swimming pool is also ok with day to day acess allowed.

Poor Central A/c in conference hall. Food service poor had to wait longer for buffet refilling and has to drop lunch and go.

Enough parking area, friendly ambience except a differently layered ground floor, if not careful senior citizens might fall.

I visited here for dinner. It was very delicious, especially non-veg foods. Ample of space is available for parking. The location of the hotel is in the centre of the city.

Visited their Black Pearl Restaurant for a family dinner. Service was super fast, food very tasty. Dietary constraints were taken into account. A def'ly must-visit place.

Good hospital. All modern facilities are available. It is in the heart of Kochy. Well qualified Doctors, para staffs everything very good. But parking space is inadequate.

I have visited this hotel on different occasions for attending various functions. I had attended the annual meeting of the retired officers along with serving officers of Kochi City, which was conducted in the conference hall in the top. Next years annual meeting was conducted in the open air auditorium and pavilion on the ground floor. There is ample parking area and the security guard guides you properly. There are clean rest rooms and good restaurant in the ground floor. No wheel chair access is provided. This is a Bar attached hotel situated adjacent to the main road at Palarivattom on its eastern side

This Hotel is situated on main road side at Palarivattom, Ernakulam district, Kerala. It is 25 kms.sway from Cochin International Airport. It has got well maintained good and spacious rooms. There are different size Banquet halls suitable for conducting meetings and marriage reception etc.

Amenities include free parking and breakfast, as well as Chinese and Indian restaurants. A 24-hour coffee shop and a casual bar lounge, plus an outdoor pool (fee) and a spa area with Ayurvedic treatments. Airport transfers are also available.
