The Tides

Beautiful beach restaurants & bar owned by The Leela Kovalam. You will get a variety of drinks & delicious food. The quantity of food is really very good. They had amazing catches of the day on display. From there we ordered white snapper (kerala style pan fried) which was delicious & a really good portion (big size) & also ordered chicken hakka noodles.

This is the first time we are getting such a poor service from an elegant restaurant in a tourist spot like Kovalam. As the proverb says 'all that glitters is not gold', inspite of waiting there for 10mins, nobody has come to serve us and we didnt expect such a bad service from them. They were having some internal discussions and even though they saw us they didnt show the courtesy to treat us well. I would never suggest this restaurant to anyone visitng Kovalam.

Awesome food prepared by the chef Pascal. Lobster, jumbo prawn all good. Ambiance is great looking over the beach.

I do t know about others but when we visited during xmas 2022, we were informed that the restaurant has been closed since corona lockdown and scheduled to open in the new year. So, some of the reviews are surely untrue.

Beautiful setting at the sea shore with private beach. The staff was friendly though the cost of food and beverage is on the higher side is a place to visit. We enjoyed the view and the bite. The beer was chilled and awesome but the experience was impacted as the quality of wine was awful. Sediments in the bottle and after the staff saw that they gave us a bad wine to charge us for it was not acceptable so I would say that was disappointing. To all wine drinkers avoid this restaurant rather have a beer.

We had a real bad experience we booked our table and we reached there we were told it's closed due to a wedding reception it spoiled our anniversary dinner

A good place to unwind and relax. Good food but limited menu due to covid. Staff are very polite and courteous.

We had some great lunch at Tides then crashed to Skybar. Shreenath makes fabulous cocktail blends and was a sweet person acknowledged us with a complementary shreenath Special. Attached few snaps. It’s a beach side.

Had a buffet dinner last night & it was the worst buffet I had in Trivandrum. Places like SP Grand Days & Windsor which charges less than half the rate of Raviz have better spread & tastier food than the Tides restaurant. Chicken served tasted frozen & so is the fish curry. Only good thing in the buufet was pasta. The one star is for the good service by the staffs & not for the food.

We stayed at Ravis on our Wed Anniversary. An Awesome experience it was! The Restaurant Tide with the Ocean background, with the Tasty food, especially Sea Fresh SEAFOOD, with the Eccofriendly Ambience, and pampered by the Restaurant staff, made our DAY. The Manager Srinath, with his Special Tendercoconut juice and Fruits Cocktail, and Anniversary spl Cake and photography made our Day SPECIAL. Very Special indeed! Super nice restaurant, great location inside a popular property. We tried seafood platter and it was awesome. The crew member who served us Jerin, really made sure we're briefed about the choices we are making. The seafood they served were really fresh and made to order. Very professional, friendly and cozy place. Certainly coming back.

Excellent restaurant with freshly caught fish. The chef actually asks how you want your fresh fish cooked! The staff is very helpful and will adjust to your requirements. Not to mention amazing views!

It is part of Leela hotel so expect good service. I was not dissappointed. It is a tad bit expensive and the time we were theŕe the beach had lot of garbage piled up.

High level thai style food. Good taste and service. In my personal opinion, this place used for propose for engagement or marriage. Good for foreigns.

We absolutely loved the food! The chef Pascal has made us very happy with the delicious lunches and diners! It’s our favorite restaurant in this area! We tried most dishes and fresh fish catch of the day such as Tiger Prawn and Lobster. Enjoy!

This place has amazing chilli paneer starters, the most gorgeous view and an amazing vibe during and after sunset ️. I definitely recommend this place if you're around. Check out my pictures.cheers!
