The Travancore Heritage

We had been in communication with the hotel for a year, arranging over 50 rooms and specifying the categories we desired. However, at the last minute and without consulting us, they arbitrarily changed the categories and allotted a greater number of beach grove rooms. This was extremely embarrassing for us, as our guests were uncomfortable in these distant rooms, accessible only by a lift descending several levels to rather dingy and unattractive accommodations. Notably, many single women were allocated these rooms. When we inquired, the hotel's only explanation was that some of their guests had extended their stays, and they could not accommodate our original request. I have never encountered a hotel failing to honor a promised room category simply because another guest decided to extend their stay at the last minute. My advice is not to trust this hotel, and I strongly recommend against booking with them.

This is one of the best place to stay for vacation. It’s not just a hotel but a heritage. Food, room service everything is good.

I must say my experience at The Travancore Heritage was rather disappointing. The hotel seemed overpriced, especially considering the season. The food, offered at a high cost in the buffet, lacked flavor and didn't justify the expense. The rooms were small and didn't match the value for money. Unfortunately, the promised sea view was a distant sight, and accessing the beach required a trip to the public beach, a cumbersome 300+ meters away with the need for a lift. This could be quite challenging for elderly guests. Adding to the dismay, the hotel is not conveniently located in Kovalam but rather 6-7 km away. In retrospect, I believe we made an error in choosing this location and hotel. Overall, the experience left me dissatisfied with the value for money, given the high price we paid. I also need to note that the hotel offered beef and non-veg options in the buffet, which, while potentially normal in Kerala and foreign countries, made us slightly hesitant, considering the cultural context in India.

However, I must acknowledge that the hotel staff were really good and helpful in nature.

Poorly maintained rooms and rude staff ruined the experience for me. Will not visit again. Buggy service was delayed. The steep slopes were not easy on my mom's and aunts knee. The property was okay but rooms require maintenance. Also there is not enough space, during season it can get too crowded.
Access to beach via lift, but water very rough and dangerous to take a dip. Life guard stationed there to avoid any mishaps.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staffs, Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room was bit small but well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back in the future.

Had a splendid weekend at Travancore Heritage Resorts. Specifically the landscaping and the side walks were providing a good ambiance and vibe.
Assistance from each staffs were very professional.

The two days experience was fantabulous. The flora and fauna is exquisite. The food was exemplary. The staff in the restaurant Mr. Akhil Das was outstanding in service and congeniality. The chef Mr. Saneesh excellent. The breakfast is a treat to remember. To sum up: It was an amazing 2 day stay. Keep it up.

I like your resort and the beach view from my room, resort fooding and management was good but room service was very slow.
Resort restaurant has Rustic Heritage styled look which is just adorable.
15 acres spanning resort is just the best experience to can get in Kerala where time stands still.

The place has a nice ambiance with a beach view. It also has a wonderful ayurvedic centre (anandam), where I was treated to a wonderful body message. Reception staff are friendly and cordial.

Very homely, down to earth property for relaxed holidays and some quality time away from the hectic pace of the cities. Comfortable, laid back and entirely surrounded by nature on all sides, with the ocean a short stroll away. The food and service are perfect, with a very family friendly atmosphere everywhere.

It's far away from Kovalam Beach But if you are looking for serenity, then this is the place

It was a very quaint place with ample places for kids to play, a nice pool, and a picturisque garden with hammocks, swings. Staff is friendly and efficient, food is delicious with a wide variety of veg and non-veg options.

We stayed here with my cousins. We were a group of 12 with a toddler. The resort was very nice with beautiful landscapes with a view of the beach. The rooms were spacious and neat. The breakfast spread was decent too. All of us had so much fun at the pool as well. The pool water felt clean and safe. You can also access the nearby beach from the property itself by walk. They also have a children's park with swings and slides which the younger ones enjoyed. The service provided by the staffs were commendable, especially of Soorya. She was very helpful throughout and always carried a smile and its always pleasing to see happy staffs. We stayed for one day and it was very hard for us to leave. We are hoping to go back soon!

Great food, good property. Wifi connectivity was bad. Needs improvement as it gets dropped frequently.

A great place to be. The houses are built on traditional Kerala houses. The pool is Clean and neat. The staff is well behaved and very disciplined. They’re always there to help you with a smile.it’s a great place to take your family out for a weekend which has everything packed for the family. They have a good natural treatment Centre with a well trained doctor. Best wishes to the hotel for there future.

Stayed with family for two days. The staff was very nice and polite. The room was neat and clean. Awesome sea view from the cottage we stayed in. Great garden around the cottages.food at restaurant was good.

Very nice place for a day/ night out. Serine nature, calm and silent place for family and couples. A small children park, access to beach, pool for kids and adults, great food and friendly staffs makes this place very attractive.

Travencore Heritage is good place to spend your holiday, worth the money one spends here. Calm and peaceful with great scenic beauty the place is well kept and staff follows the covid norms to the full. The food is also very tasty.
Ananda Ayurveda situated here offers great massage fit for each person, cost to be paid separately.
The pool in the hotel is kept clean and well maintained.

Due to the Covid situation, our Onam celebration decided to a day out at The Travancore Heritage. They welcomed with a cup of nannari water and described the day-out package, Its included lunch and evening tea/snacks. We have 19 members and include 5 small children so that we got a double Bedroom.

The property is big and the ambiance is so very nice. We enjoyed walking around the resort and enjoying sceneries. They have different types of rooms and cottages are available. Due to this Coivd situation, they provide some discounts for rooms and cottages.

Lunch they serve buffet option, The food taste was excellent but the buffet menu items were a little bit low but taste-wise all items are delicious.

There is an option to the beachside from The Travancore Heritage property and there is also a children's park. Now one swimming pool is allowed in the main area and another one is closed.

Superb place nice weekend getaway place. But rate of food is high, It has to be revisited and the posted beef fry costed 400rs that is not worth max what they can charge is 250rs. We are are paying the room and ambience already then why do they have to charge for food this much. Okay a slight hike is welcomed but this is bad.

Very nice place. We had a pleasant stay. The room were built in old Kerela architecture. Various sizes of room. The landscaping of the resort is fantastic. The entire resort is in a cliff. At a distant the beach is seen. The access to beach is via a lift down the cliff. We stayed here in March 2021. Has ample trees and shady places. Two big pools. With kids play areas.

A beautiful resort located close to the beach but at a good distance also. Its situated in a small hillock from the beach, thus offering the visitor a grande view of the sea from their cottage or room. Most of the rooms and cottages have a sea facing view. Their front space faces the sea. Its a great feeling to just sit there and enjoy the calm and soothing sea and the breeze that comes in from time to time.

Environment is so good. But the service is too bad n the food is too much over priced. They have unnecessary rules for using the pool and visiting the beach.

It was a good experience in Travancore heritage resort. The staff is very co-operative and manageable at everything which they have provided by the resort me and my wife is very comfortable in this resort. The food is also too good and quality was awesome.

Loved our stay at the Beach Grove. Big spacious rooms setup with excellent features. Though, the rooms are located way below the main building with the restaurant. And the food was so delicious and staff is so helpful.

You wont get bored even if you spend two days in the resort. Staff management is superb. Please maintain the same, will definetly visit you again if chance comes.

The Travancore heritage made our engagement day as special as we have hoped. We had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor buffet area which was perfect! Outdoor ceremony area was fairytale like; blue sky, green plants, sound of waves, and feel good breeze are nothing short of every girl’s dream. Indoor buffet area looked classy. Friends and relatives who participated physically and virtually were highly appreciative of the venue.

Staff were responsive through email/messages and phone calls for our many questions, they made the venue available for us on multiple occasions to visit as part of the planning process, they knew exactly what to do, when, and how to do it. We’ve gotten so many compliments about how attentive your staff were to our guests.

Had booked for two rooms. In one of the room TV was not working. In other room they have subscribed free tv package.
Highly overpriced menu for dinner.
Hospitality wise very bad.

The only thing you can expect here is classic rooms at very premium price but service wise you can't expect anything. People here are very rude. They are not friendly.

Didn't expect this from a four star hotel.

First day was good but next day it shifting the room I adjust without any argument, he said that I upgrade the room but it degrade the room I adjust I think next day checkout why anxious the hotel staff but after I order dinner and take lot of time then I frustrated that why I write know otherwise I not wrote it

The resort is beautiful but their sea facing rooms are no less than a scam. For going to the beach you have to take an elevator that leaves you on ground floor, from there the beach is 5 minutes walk away. Service is good too. It would have been better if they had more variety in their buffet.

Beautifull resort with both beach and garden view rooms. Food tastes awesome. The place has superb ambience. It has a gate which helps us to access the beach. The beach is not so clean and has lot of unknown people. Its accessible till 7pm from hotel.
The massage center in the hotel is superb.

Very very nice place. The staff were also very good. They take time to listen and care.
It is a nice good hike to the beach. The beach is not private and it is quite dirty. It is still beautiful but needs some serious cleaning.
The only downside was that the cottages on the website doesn't always match the room you will be given. But they were accomodating and moved us to another place since the occupancy was low.

Nice resort. Good ambiance and well maintained campus. Stayed in Premium heritage apartment. Room was not so big compared to the money spent. Pool was closed due to covid 19 restrictions. Beach is accessible, walkable distance.

Horrible service. Booked 3 premium heritage and they tried to get away with giving us lower grade rooms. Had to put up a real fight to get 2 premium heritage rooms. Room service is a joke - have to try phone 15-20 mnts to get someone. Noone bothers to clean up left over plates from room service unless reminded

There's no social distancing or temp checks in the reception or buffet area - not sure how they get away with the covid rules

In the end our bill had an additional 2k from someone's else's room service!

Go to Taj or Leela next door if you want to get your money's worth. Premium heritage room rate is not cheap - it's very close to Taj's garden view room rates. Definitely not worth spending your money

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Travancore Heritage. Due to Covid, not many guest were there in the resort. The restaurant serve many tasty dishes. The pool was not open due to Covid related restrictions. The rooms were clean and nice.

Beautiful hotel property, they have multiple pools & direct access to beach that too not a very crowded one plus hospitality is amazing

Its a lovely resort. Beautifully architectured cottages. The view from the resort overlooking the sea is so captivating. Had a whale of a time here with my friends

Hotel which gives us the feel of old contemporary world with lots of nostalgia. Beautiful stay for domestic and international

Fantastic property to have a relaxed stay. Architecture is heritage as the name of the hotel. There are a few individual rooms with no common walls and relaxed, indivdiual sit outs. The property has lot of trees and shade all around so it is very relaxing to just sit or walk around. The property has two swimming pools each with a kids pool. The one near the reception is bigger and deeper and has a generous sitout area around it.
The beach facing rooms have a sit out which faces the beach. The ones on the ground floor get a good view of the pool and not the beach. So ensure you get a room higher up to get a beach view. But be aware that the beach is a bit of a walk and not exactly right next door. Also, the reception and restaurant are a bit of a walk from beach view rooms. So if you have any aged people travelling with you, i wouldn't recommend beach view rooms. But they do have prompt room service for food in case you still want to stay at beach view rooms.
We stayed at the beach view rooms and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Courteous staff who are always smiling and ready to help.
Food is good. We tried sandwiches, pizza, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Pizzas were better than the Pizza hut/ Domino's pizza. For vegetarian starter/gravies the serving size was above average. Each bowl of gravy could easily serve 2-3 adults. Average cost per meal for two adults and 1 kid came to about INR. 1600 on ala carte. They always had a decent buffet spread as well for all three meals.
Would thoroughly recommend this place!

This is a beautiful place and Travancore Heritage is situated such that one side is a hill and other side is the beach. The hotel resort has heritage structure with lot of trees vegetation and birds. There are at least 2 swimming pools. Good buffet breakfast and wifi available in package. We had great time.
