Incident:
The manager quoted high price and when I reached the hotel, I asked the room is not good. He offered the discounted rates and committed a lower price. We checked-in after a long day ride and it was getting dark. However, during check out - He quoted a higher price which was committed. I asked to stay true what he said but he didn't.

So, stay at your own risk. There is hardly any process.

It's situated in remote area, very difficult to reach there. Nothing is there to enjoy, lodge area is very less.
Rooms are pending for renovation, we didn't get towels, no kettle in room, room service is very bad, hot water available only limited times.
Food is not good.
There is no swimming pool, but they are showing swimming pool picture in there advertisement.
Management is cheating all customers, its a normal lodge not a resort, they are charging 3 star hotels charge.
Near by two super luxury resorts with all facilities if you spend some more money.

The room was very comfortable and peacefully we had a nice stay in the hotel with a amazing view from the balcony.highly recommended for spending time with family.

The access from the main road to the resort should be secured. Travel after dusk is very difficult.

The rooms in this resort are of decent size. The view from the balcony is very impressive. But some drawbacks need to be mentioned. There are televisions in the rooms but not working patience. Also the hot water in the bathroom is not getting properly.

Old dirty rooms ready to demolish, premium room size is 150 sqft, property build on 5 cent land, zero activities, road to hotel dangerous for inexperienced drivers, misleading pictures posted for advertisement,

Very Disappointed with the Hotel, Staff and location. This hotel failed to provide basic things like Hot water, TV etc. Whatever they posted on the site and pics are completely false. They even proud that they don't have Pool but Posted pics from Property beside. The Hotel is 20km far from Munnar city and it doesn't have Proper road. After paying so much money we had to adjust in 1 room only. One of the worst experiences. Dont recommend the Wind at all. If you want pleasant stay, stay away from Wind.

They have very good neat and big rooms with clean bathrooms. Food was also good (rates are like any resorts). The resort area is very small and packed and is situated on a steep mountain. There is no swimming pool. The picture in the review is of a nearby resorts pool. Personally I didn't like the view from the rooms.

You will have to travel 3 kms by road from main road to reach this resort, which is very steep and narrow. Also there are no shops nearby. So if you want to get something, do get it before you enter this resort as it is a difficult task to go to the main road frequently due to the terrain.

Parking facility is really bad and campfire facilities are kind of a hoax. Charged 1000 for campfire which was conducted at some place outside the resort with 0 ambience.

Staff service was okay.

Beautiful and poetic view from the balcony, the room was very cozy and clean, food was excellent and incredibly varied. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location was fantastic away from city pollution and noises. Staff is super polite. Food was excellent. Absolutely go ahead if you wish to spend 2-3 days minimum in peaceful environment.

The place has just a good location that's all. Food and service is very bad. Beds are very uncomfortable and very old. The manager is very rude and doesn't entertain guests in a good way. Will not recommend it to anyone.

Worst place to be if your are visiting munnar. KSRTC dorms would have better service in munnar.the owner is a fraud.his only intention is to loot the visitors.

We got the cliff-edge room and it was fantastic. All your troubles will melt away the moment you reach there. Good view and nice location, with absolutely no disturbance. I would suggest anyone trying to book to opt for the cliff-edge room. Rather than booking online, call up the resort directly and they'll provide a discount if it's not peak season. You can book by sending a small amount through Gpay and pay the rest after arrival (GPay available but check with the management of cards are accepted). It was a last-minute plan and we arrived at midnight but the resort happily accommodated us. If you're arriving without having food, it would be a good idea to call ahead and order food as the resort's restaurant only makes food as per order. There are no restaurants nearby but you may find something on the Munnar route if you go by car. As the last mile to the resort is steep, it's easier to have food from the resort's restaurant itself. Anyway, the food there is quite tasty and is priced normal. The resort manager doubles up as the chef and he's quite skilled at it. Even a simple bread toast turned up quite tasty. The staff are also quite helpful and willing to accept special orders. When you consider the fact that the adjacent resorts charge more than Rs12,000 per night, for just a swimming pool extra, this one's a bargain, especially if you book directly. The only downside is that maps shows you a route (through Muttukad and Bison Valley) where road construction is going on and the ride is quite bumpy. While coming back, we came through Munnar, through NH 85, and it was much faster. According to the resort staff, the route through Rajakkad is also okay. The resort management had in fact messaged about the bad route shown by maps while we were enroute but we had to take it as it was midnight when we were crossing the area and we were unfamiliar with the area, and thus didn't want to experiment. So, just travel to Munnar as you normally would and then take the NH85 towards Chinnakkanal from Munnar town. That route is also quite scenic and you'll find many tourist view points midway. Overall, a very nice, affordable stay option that is safe for families with kids, with good management and staff. Will definitely visit again.

The property is secluded and at a very decent location. The views from the rooms are really amazing. The staff is super cooperative and considering.

The room was very spacious and clean. The view from the room was excellent and peaceful. Mutthu and Bala were very welcoming and cooked tasty food. Although we faced some voltage issues in the cottage, overall stay was very comfortable and soothing.
Note: There is no wifi available in the property. Only jio, Bsnl and idea will have 4g network.

Extremely bad service. They do not even have basic pantry items available like potatoes, paneer, or veggies. They do not even have extra blanket for extra guest, said that they have limited blankets. The quality of food was the worst. The location is also not ideal as it is disconnected from the whole munnar and all the important location. When we asked about why it is not available, they started arguing. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT.

After 6 years again we went to the wind & the vibe was same as it was earlier. Mr. Noby was so helpful. He arranged everything as per our requirement & made our stay comfortable. I would like to visit here again.

Loved the place as i went there this summer but still it was a frightening night that i dont see the road clearly coz of heavy fog and i literally forgot that its summer. Trekking enthusiasts love the road towards the resort, some twists and turns but u will enjoy it. Better to have food along with you as food availability is a bad with this place. U can enjoy good visuals and nature from this resort. Its economic and hygienic as well. Really enjoyed those days here

Very good and amazing hospitality. The rooms are spacious, the view from the cliff is beautiful and the staff is extremely helpful, flexible and polite. Special thanks to Muthu and Bala for their sincere efforts in making our stay peaceful. The only drawback of the place is that there is no wifi in the premises. Only Jio sim works in the area. If you are a subscriber to any other network and are looking to disengage from daily mundane life with no disturbance from outside, Wind Munnar is your destination.

Awesome location in an offbeat road. View from the Hotel room is Mesmerizing. Staffs are always smiling and helping.
Food quality is also better than other stays. They also had arranged a candlelight dinner in our Room.
Great stay. Will be back again someday.

The place is great the views from the rooms and the overall experience staying there is great. The host is very cordial and helpfull. The places nearby are beyond belief. The food was good but not great. Only issue is the cellular connectivity If you are using Airtel or vodaphone. Wifi is very choppy. Other than this me and my wife enjoyed our stay over there.

Everything about this place is awesome the ambient service from the staff and the food was delicious. Recommended

We had a wonderful time at wind munnar. We visited this place as a couple in the month of March. Key things that we liked:
1. Location - Room and view from the room. Every room gets a valley view.
2. Food by in-house chef Muthu here is lip smacking. Make sure you try Kerela parotha and Kerela chicken curry.
3. Staff. The staff here is very friendly and prompt. Noby (manager) prepared us draft travel itinerary based on the time we had in Munnar which was very kind.

Wind Resort is situated in one of the best locations in Munnar! The property and the area around is absolutely beautiful. Acknowledging the quality of stay and service they provide for a very affordable rate is mind blowing.

I wanna emphasize on how amazing the manager, Mr. Noby Abraham was! His hospitality and love towards guests are commendable. He goes out of the way to make our stay the best. I'm sure anyone would love him for the person he is, and your stay won't go wrong if he's around.

We had a good stay at the wind Munnar and a great hospitality. We felt very safe and had no issues with respect to food, power, water etc. We got a good support from the management on sight seeing directions. Noby was very approachable all time for any basic queries and always asked for feedback to see all things are fine. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

A very well maintained budget hotel with amazing ambience of the surrounding mountains. The view from the rooms is just too good. Stayed over here for 1 night with friends, and it was very much worth the price. The humble attitude of Mr Nooby who's always just a phone call away is very much commendable. You also get quality food from a wide variety of items on the menu. One thing which I felt needs improvement is a few metres of road which leads to the property. Otherwise, everything else was just fine.

Though I hold back on the staying here based on the some of the reviews but it was worth it. It was a wonderful experience with the staff and manager providing every help u need. The climate was very good it provided a cozy feeling. Overall it was a wonderful experience

Rooms are good. The owner of the hotel is behaving nicely and very helpful (I'm not sure whether he is the owner or manager). But anyway, he is a nice person.
**Cons**
The way to the property is very bad. It's for a small distance oy. But crossing that path is bit difficult. We were afraid that our car may get damaged.
There were no restaurants nearby to get food. The property provided food for us. But they won't give us many varieties.
We have to get convinced with what they provide.
Hotel rooms are a plus. It's nice.

Lower down from the ghat road. Narrow road.you will get a valley view. Rooms moderate.food good and not costly.can sit in the room and see the valley.no television

Nine of us (all bachelors) stayed in three rooms at “The Wind Munnar” from 11-12 Dec 2021. We had a terrible experience at this hotel and will never recommend to anybody due to the following reasons;

1. Reaching the place is very difficult. There are no signboards anywhere. There is hardly any road leading to the hotel. So going to this place by car is a big NOOOOOOOO. You can use an SUV to have an off-road experience.

2. There is nobody to receive you here. No reception boy, no caretaker, nobody. The person who talks to you during the booking (lets call him persuader) is remotely operating sitting at Kottayam. The hotel is under staffed. You will only see 2 people. They act as chef, room service boy and receptionist (only at checkout to collect cash). You cannot complain to “the persuader” as there is no network coverage available. You cannot even make a whatsapp call to him since their Wifi dongles can be used only as paper weight (None of them worked).

3. The rooms are average but do not get carried away by the photos they have uploaded. The TV does not work. I complained to the available person there. He said “IT DOES NOT WORK! ”.

4. The food was pathetic. I wonder how they can add so much pepper in chilly chicken to make it inedible. They make good idli chatni and sambhar for breakfast. Everything else tastes “yuck”. During checkout they will hand over the restaurant bill which will really burn a hole in your pocket.

Really surprised how people can rate this hotel as normal/good.

We stayed one night at cliff edge cottage and was spectacular journey. The most important factor is the hospitality and mountain view.

This place offers a remarkable valley and mountain view. Food is just fine, not great to mention specifically but best hospitality. This property makes us more attached towards nature, especially the breeze helped me to relax and refresh.

The Wind Munar stay is good at the balcony! Amazing view and best place to chillout. Hospitality of the staff needs to improve a lot. For each and everything you have to call them to get it, they dont ask the guest or provide the service without even asking. Breakfast is just something they make for them and serve the same to the guest. While guest chillout in the balcony people were painting the wall so our fresh air experience was ruined. Not recommended for hospitality but balcony has natural view.

We were totally disappointed with their service. It's not a good place to stay as a family especially if you have children. They have a total of 6 rooms. They are grossly under staffed to serve all the members at once. There were no towels and toiletries provided. Finally upon request they provided one towel per room. We requested dinner at 8 pm but were served at 10: 30pm and the food was horrible. We had asked for some veggies and they gave burnt cabbage which was very spicy. The complimentary breakfast was just Poori and masala. When asked for bread and omelette, they gave just one after a long wait. Except the location on the side of a cliff facing the valley there is nothing good about this resort. Don't go by the positive reviews, especially if you are a group or with kids.

Loved the destination. Reaching there is a but task but worth it. Beautiful room and amenities. They provide Spa, Library, Pool game, chess, One coffee space, activity area, table tennis and so on. Food was satisfying too.

Calm and quite place for a secluded holiday. The room boy is helpful. Road to the wind seems to be adventurous but worth experimenting. Because, the sight from the room balcony is so amazing and refreshing.
Limited menu. But the food is really tasty. They can improve a lot- especially the overall ambience, cleanliness, furnishing and sports room.
