Thomson Bakers

Last week I had chicken biryani from there, it was the worst biryani I ever had.
Also they are charging huge amount if they are giving proper food & charging huge amount that's fine.
I don't why they are treating customers like this.

This is the second time I am reviewing this hotel. It's the same. Since Thomson is the only hotel in our area that has a reputation they are taking people for granted. We bought butter chicken and beef roast from the shop. I should say I haven't eaten a beef roast this worse in my life. We were 4 people and we could not even eat even a bit. It was full of waste pieces. Not even one piece was good. On top of that, the gravy was not beef roast. They charge a big amount for curries and I am not sure what they do. I called the man sitting there and he said Thomson would never give away any curries with waste pieces and they order only high quality stuff and he would give me a new curry the next day. Till now he hasn't called back.

One of the nice bakers around Parumala Church. Juices and foods are fresh. Rate is quite high when compared to other bakers. There is a wide variety of snacks and food combo options. Good space for parking. E payments are available.

Doesn't have the standard as it used to have a couple of years back, has gone much backwards in service. The food served as stated has gone down the drain in quality and taste, should put it as fathoms down. The management has to take, not sincere, but serious thoughts to change its style, else will have to pull down shutters like when they tried their luck in ernakulam on Chittoor Road near Kacheripady, opposite to Paul Abro Residency (RDS), a branch of this hotel. The above stated fact will be harsh realization to the management of the present set up. This is to wake up the management from its slumber to understand the present reality of Thomson Bakers which was once upon the best in town, the reputation had reached far and wide then, when we used to frequent the pramila church many years back.

Food is not upto the mark. I used to dine at their niranam outlet and food was awesome.but this outlet is not upto that standard. Ok food,

Superb Food. Authentic kerala food along with north indian cuisine. Wheat porotta is there speciality. Their Tandoori chicken Al fam and kebabs taste awesome.

I have been a regular customer of Thomson Bakery for over the last two decades. Recently I bought their pineapple cake and it was an absolute disaster. The cake was very dry and hard also even though it was only a day old when I purchased it. Too much colour, the overall quality was pathetic. It was such a big disappointment. Looks like they have lost their passion for baking!

Tasty food but so expensive and very very less quantity and i expressed my opinion on it infront of the cashier in the desk Duck roast only 2 small pieces and lot of gravy and charging 248 and duck stew is not even 150 gram is charging 240 and porotta is very small in size compared to other good hotels but still charging 12 rupees if they increase quantity in same prize it will be good for the customer also other wise it will be so bad for the customer?

Good bakery and restaurant, but items less in bakery compared to earlier. Some curries quality also reduced

Awesome place, very neat, all employees wearing masks properly and bakery items they are handling with gloves and proper mask, by seeing this view my faith restored in believing that good restaurant are still there on earth
However I ate parota and veg? Curry, that was good, in future I will try other items, specially if you want puffs, sandwich and samosa, I think you can get fresh here

Poor service and below average food. They are making extra spicy food to increase the business of juices and deserts.

Very bad service.when starting time the food was too tasty and sweet.but now 2020 food quality and taste is too bad and we can't recommend any one.

Bakery items which I purchased are not to my satisfaction. Biryani of long grain rice. I am not much impressed.

One of the best restaurants near parumalla church. They serve best and tasty foods. Their parotta is softer and delicious. But little crowdy. And spacious parking area

It is one of the famous restaurant near Parumala church. It is a bakery com restaurant. We ordered pirotta, beef fry and their famous duck roast. The porotta was hot and fluffy. The duck roast was best as usual. It is greenish in colour and the meat was very soft. The real show stealer was the beef fry. Very tasty and good pieces.
This is a must place to try.

Tried their famous appam and duck curry. Both were good. I think, you'll get those for breakfast only. Duck curry was the authentic kuttanadan duck curry.

Place is little congested parking space is there but little hectic as it is congested and is in the middle of parumala jn. Food is tasty, biriyani is the best in mannar. All other food items are average.

Food is good.environment is also good.but there is a huge lack a waiters to provide service to customers there simultaneously.delayed service is the only flaw of this place

The taste of food is just average and this place is very costly. There are much better options nearby in mannar. The service is also very slow. I have also tried take away option from this place which is even slower than having at the resturant. The staff is arrogant and least bothered about the customers. Avoid this place if possible.

If u want to have duck curry with parotta.then its the best place. Its has lot of options for breakfast and lunch and hygeine is well maintained. One of the best hotel in the locatlity.will surely recommend

It's a well maintained infrastructure with a bit overpriced good to average quality foods. The cakes available are delicious. Most of the verities are available. Place is little congested. But parking space is there but little hectic as it is congested and is in the middle of parumala jn. Vegetarian and nonvegetarian dishes are available.

Visited this Bakery hearing that they have tasty Duck stew. Its a bakery cum restaurant. One of the branches of Thomson bakers. The duck stew with its unique light green colour, was so tasty and I give it a 5 star rating. The interior feels like a tunnel with no ventilation. There is car park for around 10 cars. I recommend the tasty duck stew.yummy.

If you are on a trip traveling through Mannar area, this is a great place to have Lunch. The food tastes delicious. Gives homely vibes. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. We had meals, biryani and beef fry (i believe?). Everything was top notch.

I got cockroach from birayani far year ago.but now they hav their standard.but lil expensive, i had average experiences of services and fooding

It's a well maintained infrastructure with overpriced average-quality foodstuff. They charge you even for parcel package on top of the expensive food. It's a let down. Hilarious indeed!

Just an overpriced show off that does not offer anything special for the extra money. Quantity is pathetic and quality is average.

Thompson bakery and restaurant outlets is more like a brand that is popular as well a favorite of tons of people. But I had a very bad customer service from Parumala Thompson bakery. Except that one time it was always good food and happy tummy.

Pricing is too high. We had 6 parathas, 2 tea and 1 beef roast. And the cost was 320/-!

Taste of the food was OK. But if u are looking for an economical dining, you can go for some other options.

Best place to have a quick breakfast and lunch near parumalla church. Fully Airconditined and neat decent place with good staffs. Located at a good place with parking space.

Duck roast is the best over there.appam and beef varieties also there.different types of variety sweets and snacks also there

It's the favourite place to hang out with friends as well as family since my childhood. The quantity of the food is outstanding and the prices are also reasonable.

It was a usual place to dine out for the pilgrimages after visiting parumala church. Nowadays they don't provide the quality as compared to the past. Even it is expensive as well.in fact it has ample space to accommodate more customers and the confectionery section is really attracting a lot number to there.
