One of the best Resort Stays. It’s very difficult to call it a Resort, as we were made to feel at home throughout our stay.

It was very kind of the host to accommodate us even after an unexpected cancellation, I was unaware about. The hospitality and care of the staff is remarkable. Very polite and caring. Great food!

The 400-acre estate, colonial décor, tree houses, trekking trails through the plantation, sumptuous food and great hospitality made the holiday super memorable for us.

Ajay is a great host and all the staff are very courteous and ready to listen to you and do the needful.

Definitely coming back here.

The room were very much hygienic and well facilities are available at low cost and they care us like family of thier own and it was nice to book and make payment easy

We stayed at the Tranquil Resort in October of 2022, and it was hands down the best vacation of our life. We were there at a time that was just before the peak season started and had the entire resort to ourselves. The service was impeccable.
Inspite of being the only guests in the resort, the menu was elaborate for every single meal. The staff was warm and Courteous, and the experience was delightful.
It was our first time at an estate resort, and we loved every bit of it. We are looking forward to coming back every year.

Amazing place to rejuvenate and spend the weekend in amazing Wayanad. It's located in midst of coffee estate, about a kilometre from estate entrance. This place is surrounded with amazing trails for trekking ranging from easy to moderate difficulty and the best part, you ll get the trail maps along with markers on the path to guid you.

Waynad, is only a place to relax. Among the many properties, this is one of the best. What an experience. If u are habituated to business style hotels, have yourself a change and go for this resort. Lovely ambience. Starclass rooms. I have taken the luxury suit to celebrate our 3 year old son’s birthday. It is located at the center of 400 acre lush green coffee estate.
U will be bombarded with a different atmosphere.

Thanks to Ajay sir, The host. He welcomed us in the evening along with his boys with a warm towel. He gave us a complimentary cake to celebrate my sons birthday. The room itself is breathtaking. Big room with heritage cupboards, cozy bed and two bathrooms.

The suite room is located as a only room per floor. I would recommend this especially. However, i haven't seen the Tree house so no comments on it. This is way better than the standard room. No ACs are der but not required.

Food:
The food is of special mention. They don't have room service. Different cuisines are laid in the menu. However, if u are travelling with a naughty toddler like ours u will not easily get everything he asks for. For ease of movement keep a vehicle with you most of the times. The property could be reached after 10 mins from their main gate. However, we have asked Ajay sir to arrange Watermelon which he arranged it by the next meal. It would be advised to keep some emergency food for your toddler if required. They would also serve evening snacks in the hotel as complimentary.

Activities: We have limited our wayanad sightseeing and stayed back in the hotel for second day and enjoyed the trekking walks among the coffee plantation. Loved it. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

Where and how do I even start to describe how amazing Tranquil is!
I guess is should start from the beginning.once you enter the gate you find yourself driving through a coffee plantation and it is 1.3 kms before you reach the main house.
We were greeted by the owner, Ajay and received a very warm welcome.
We were escorted to the room, which was the chairman's suite and it did not disappoint!
The room was massive and the wooden floors and wooden beams in the ceiling gave it a warm and cozy feel. The sheer size of the room is hard to explain, but to give you a basic idea.it had to fully functional bathrooms! The view from the room was the plantation and the pool.
I was given a tour of one of their two Tree House rooms and I definitely should have chosen this one. About 10 meters off the ground and built in to the slope, this room commands a view that is superlative! Your bed looks out past the deck in to the hills and trees, you can hear a stream close by. Another 2 fully functional bathrooms are in the room, and one of which has a tree running through it and they tell me that the other tree house has a tree running through the bedroom. I just love the fact that they built around nature!
Now the food. Our package included all meals and I'm rather glad of it. The cuisine felt like it came from a grandmother's kitchen. Wholesome, hearty, delicious and plenty of it! The end of each meal kept us longing for the next one.
For those of you interest in a bit of strenuous activity, apart from the gorgeous pool, they offer 4 hikes that you can do, varying in their difficulty, the longest being about 2.5 hours. The best part is that all the hikes are within the confines of the property!
I enjoyed the peace and quiet and spent a considerable amount of time just sitting and listening to the sounds of the birds and the wind in the trees.
They have 3 dogs that are as adorable as they are cute.
On our last night there, we were treated to an incredible experience. On the deck above the bar, they set up a table and a private buffet and that just blew my mind. It was incredibly thoughtful and was done in such secrecy, that even though we walked past the are, we failed to notice the set up until we were escorted up there.
Overall, the ambience, the setting, the room, the food and above all, the people made it a truly memorable stay. One that will be cherished forever.
This humble blogger shall indeed return and hopefully at the earliest.

Strongly recommended for an awesome tranquil holiday

The best holiday i had in a resort! The hosts are excellent! The food is great, the place overall with its various trekking trails from easy to the brave heart! It was real fun and the view from the Cliff was amazing! Loved their attention to detail in the rooms and in the restaurant. It was tranquil! And to relax further you have the furry friends Duke, Sugar and Dynamite! Loved our stay and will be back soon!

Our long overdue visit to this out of the world homestay/home/plantation house, finally culminated this September 7th, on my husband Pradeep's b'day, and it was the best decision we made! Rajesh Rajaram and Monika, who own this 400 acres plantation are our old friends, yet we never got the opportunity to go there. It was a memorable day with Nisha and Ajay and their courteous staff and super friendly doogos. Food that was curated specially for us, the ambience, the catching up with old contacts, stories and everything else, was unforgettable! Truly truly amazing place with high quality rooms and a tree house, with a brook flowing below, to die for. Absolutely memorable b'day. Paradise regained!

An absolutely stunning cocoon to discover for a change of scenery, a gateway in the mountains or a peaceful time to recharge.
The location is spectacular. In the middle of the nature you can enjoy the sound of the wild day and night. The treehouses are wonderful and I highly recommend them!

The rooms are also very lovely. The bathroom are great and extremely comfortable! Beds are good quality to ensure a good sleep.
I stayed in both style of rooms and enjoyed them both. Tea, coffee, drinkable water and biscuits available in every room.

The managers Ajay and Nisha are very lovely people and they go out their way to help and accomodate you. They helped me with my questions, and for all the things I could need.

Mr Swamy in charge of all daily operations is extremely kind, does everything possible to ensure you get a magnificent stay! Always here to help and assist, he has helped me a lot to get things sorted.

The food is delightful, you can enjoy a buffet for every meal (you can choose your meal plan). I would suggest you talk with the team to make your choices (buffet or menu) and also decide your preferred meal time. The set up was changed every night to make it exciting to find out the next day. Around 5pm they serve an afternoon break, everyday different and always delicious!

The pool is super nice, I haven't been able to get into but my friend did and he enjoyed it very much!

Bring your walking shoes there are trails inside the property  to get some fresh air!

Maybe there is a way to improve the walking signs, to make it clearer to understand. Apart from that, keep it going!

If you are a nature lover and looking for a place to relax then you found it!
Nothing prepares you of what you will experience.
Brilliant rooms, friendly hosts, delicious food, trecking routes, clean and tidy establishment!

After a really bad experience at an extremely dirty establishment, we found this place where we been welcomed as family.

If you love to experience a real homestay in a coffee plantation, go for it and stay at least 4-5 days.

Tranquil is one of the nicest places I've visited, amazing for a weekend getaway. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained and the staff is amazing! It's a great place to unwind and there are a number of great trails surrounding the property. The food is delicious and they resort itself is a great place to relax with friends in the evening. I would highly recommend this spot!

Very clean rooms, supremely clean n spacious bathrooms, good swimming pool. Dinner was good. Good place if ur going with family.
Cons - No AC, too many rules example- won’t change towels on daily basis (if u need change of towel, that’s with extra cost) I felt this place is not for party crowd.

I have been going to Tranquil with my family every year for about 8 years now. Tranquil is an incomparable experience in every way. Yes it is home stay experience inside an estate but it is something more than that clearly. Taking about the spot itself, it’s nestled deep inside the dense kuppamudi estate that gives you a wildlife resort experience. The estate has a bunch of walking trails which makes the nature experience totally worth it. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The staff is helpful and super friendly. They have a pool which is perfect in summer weather. The property has private areas for small groups to enjoy in their own privacy. The food is delicious with a mix of homely, local and special dishes. The tree houses are definitely an experience one should not miss. The views are fantastic and the creaking floors make it all the more exciting. But the cherry on the cake are the hosts themselves. Ajay and Nisha are warm and put you at ease the moment you meet them. You feel like a house guest from the moment you arrive thanks to their wonderful personalities. Not to mention the friendly dogs who become your holiday companions from the moment you arrive. Tranquil is a great pick for couples, families and small groups. The name says it all.

Ajay and Nisha and their team of dedicated staff made sure that we.a group of nine.had a memorable stay. Their passion could be seen in everything. Every meal was a treat to the eye and tastebuds. The large airy rooms with even larger bathrooms typical of the colonial estate bungalows, clean and fresh linen, the personal touch of the hosts were evident. Definitely a place to go for a couple of days every year.just to soak in the calmness and tranquility othe place. A big thank you from all of us.

An excellent place to enjoy your vacation away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Very pleasant and hospitable couple who manages this upper end home stay with the support of very efficient, well trained and courteous staff to make your stay very pleasant and comfortable in a sweet home away from home.
The excellent weather of waynad, the treking opportunities, the swimming pool filled with clean spring water and bird watching in the large property make it a memorable experience for children youngsters and elders alike.
Newly married couples who wants to enjoy the exclusivity and privacy of a tree house can enjoy their stay in one of the two well furnished tree houses.
The fresh coffee brew from the surrounding coffee estate and the excellent breakfast spread makes your morning bright and energetic. The rooms are esthetically furnished and the linen is so fresh and clean and looks as though they were never used by any one.
Evey lunch and dinner is a surprise and the menu was never repeated during my stay there. The owners are always available to ensure that you are well taken care of.
To make your stay comfortable the well mannered canines take an extra effort and accompany you in your treking adventures.
If you want to give a good treat and holiday experience to your family this is the right place, with in an affordable budget in a HI END property.

The tree house at Tranquil is one of the good in Wayanad. Since its a private property managed by Ajay and family, you can expect less hospitality. The main drawback is food served in Tranquil. The dinner served was all veg food except local fish fry as non veg. If you are a food lover, please opt to have food from outside the resort where you can get good food joints. They have only Swamy as all in one; from Manager to room boy. Hence expect less service and hospitality at Tranquil. The tree house is located at middle of coffee plantation. We could get good privacy and its nature friendly.
OVERALL THE STAY WAS AVERAGE.
BUT PAYING SUCH PREMIUM AMOUNT FOR THE STAY AND NOT GETTING GOOD FOOD AND HOSPITALITY, WOULD NOT SUGGEST TRANQUIL.

One of the best tree house I have visited in India. The have a very good landscape inside the property.
The tree houses are mind blowing, very good infrastructure and planning, I love the unique design of the balcony rails (Made of coffee plant branches). They do have a small library inside the tree house.
The branch inside the washroom was so amazing! Very good interior. Worth the stay, strongly recommended for the traveling and tourist.
Cost is bit high but worth the money.

A lush, green oasis of calm and relaxation in the middle of a coffee plantation. It does what it says on the tin: tranquil. The owners are a fantastically friendly couple. Afternoon tea is served at five. There’s a wonderful pool, and if you want a bit of extra adventure, you can stay in a tree house, perched on stilts 10 meters above the jungle among the tree canopies - we loved it. Lots of trekking in the area, but go in the mornings or late afternoons if the heat is a concern - although the resort is 850 meters above sea level, it can still get hot in the middle of the day.

Absolutely phenomenal. We visited on our very first trip to India and Ajay and Nisha made our travel arrangements to Tranquil seamless. The resort is deep in the Kerala jungle region, they have cultivated the most relaxing oasis on a coffee plantation. The treehouse is overwhelmingly perfect and the resort itself is full of warmth and laughter. Your enjoyment is their top priority and they excel in this regard. From the ownership to the staff, there is nothing but joy in providing you with the most personalized luxurious stay. So much love and care has clearly gone into creating this magical place. The food is delectable and meals are a curated experience. The value is unbelievable, an absolute must for nature lovers. We stayed at two resorts in the area and this was by far the superior experience. We’re already planning our return to India around this delightful place.

Had an amazing experience at the Tranquil Resort. The hosts and the owners of the resort " Ajay and Nisha" were lovely and welcoming.the staff of the resort were very courteous and friendly, deliciously cooked food (home feel), wonderful ambience and to top it all the best Dogs. Sparky, Duke, Sugar plum and Dynamite, Our daughter, Abi had a memorable time with these new found friends.they made the entire experience worth it.we were so happy to have chosen this resort over others in Wayanad.

Although our stay was a short one, we had a calm and a relaxing time at our treehouse villa which our daughter enjoyed the most.will surely come back here for a longer stay experience. This was my best experience in a hotel/resort ever. Everything from rooms to hosts and facilities to hospitality was impeccable. Duke, Sugarplum, Sparky and Dynamite sure made it more lovely. The hosts Ajay and Nisha were incredibly warm. The rooms are huge and clean. The best part about the resort is the location. Secluded, peaceful and beautiful. All in all, totally recommend it.

Words cannot describe what a fantastic time we have had at Tranquil Resort. The homestay is absolutely a phenomenal experience, everything from the 5-star rooms to dining experience and the fabulous staff who make you feel at home (away from home). Located on a ~300acre coffee plantation, our hosts Ajay and Nisha were amazing. Definitely going back.

Had a wonderful stay at Tranquil in April 2019. Just the right place for those who want to be away from the urban buzz and a really serene place. Hosts were amazing and so as their food and hospitality.their pets are a compliment too. Have taken their 2 bedroom cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our course of stay.

Tranquil Resort is situated in Ambalavayal and has an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. This 4-star resort offers a shared lounge. Free WiFi is available.  

Guest rooms in the resort are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Each room comes with a private bathroom with a shower, while some rooms include a terrace and others also provide guests with pool views. All guest rooms will provide guests with a desk and a kettle.
