Ummi's Kitchen

Interior is fine. Ac restaurant cooling good. Had meals, fish fry and beef roast. Side dishes with meals was not fresh. Fish fry and beef roast was good. Have a feeeling non veg items are tasty here.
No parking available. Parking space available but always occupied by other staffs in the building. So its like no parking.
Staffs are friendly and coperative. Malayali and north east staffs mainly.

Very bad due to the food and the Expense for the same

A cup of Chicken rice cost 160 as per catalogue but while paying they asked me 168 and stating that GST

The food was very bad in taste

Unrealistic price for poor quality and low quantity food, save ur money. Also customer service is pathetic.

Food quality needs lot of improvement, so does the service. There is almost no responses to our enquiries from the staff.

Ordered meals with separate fish curry. Not up to the mark. Excessive reuse of oil, was evident on the papadam (fritters).

No parking space provided but, for a quick tea snacks bites its OK. But other non vegetarian items like beef biryani, chicken biryani, chicken, beef items etc also available.

A lil over priced for the space. Average hygiene nd taste. Do visit if u aint specifically luking for a family destination

Had food from this restaurant today. We asked for biriyani. They said there is no biriyani here. So we ordered noodles and fired rice. But after that we realised that there was biriyani and they served it to the next customers. I asked them for the reason and they replied with no meaning. Felt really disappointed with this restaurant and the worst experience ever. This is not the right way to behave to the customers.

Food is not at all fresh. CB having two waste piece is somewhat cheating. Dnt want to go anymore.

Worst service in the history of hotel service. The waiter didn't even bother to bring water for more than half an hour. The 1 dosa order took another 15 mins and other order didn't even show up. The staff were very lathargic in even brining the basic things. All the other people left the hotel empty stomach since these guys didn't even bother to took their order. It was not a bad experience for me. But for a whole bunch of people who were there! Highly dont recommend

Bought carry out from Ummi's kitchen on Chittoor Road and Opposite to Government Girls High School in a corner of the street in Ernakulam South, Kerala, India. It was one of those nights in August 2021 when I had to grab some light dinner after meeting a friend.

Bought few Chappathis and a vegetable curry from Ummi's since I had some good
fish and home cooked prawns fry, besides a Chicken curry and fried rice for lunch.

There were only parcels/carryouts available and no dine in option due to the pandemic restrictions imposed. Prices were pretty cheap and service was okay. Probably, could improve cleanliness. Food was okay and nothing extraordinary about Ummi's Kitchen. It's a good food stop, especially late at nights and if you are in a real hurry to catch a train from Ernakulam Junction/South Railway Station which is actually walking distance from Ummi's.

It was a satisfying lunch from the ummi's kitchen. It's a small shop with good interiors. The dish i ordered was porotta and gobi manjurian. The porotta was good and gobi munchurian was awesome. The price list is not too high

Close to Ernakulam South railway station, clean, accepts debit/credit cards, (NFC included) UPI and cash payments and has a washroom as well.

Biriyani was quite good when you compare with what you had from the railway station LOL.

Only thing I find little odd was that the place was bit congested.

A normal hotel with above average dine-in experience. Food tastes normal, nothing much to expect. Limited seating capacity and parking space.

Cashier indulged in mobile. No time to lift head. Waiters are also careless to custommers

Tasty food at reasonable price. Located at Chittoor Road near South Railway Station Junction.

Well cleaned and hygienic place. Air freshener also good. They accept cards also.

Ummis kichen is a non vegetarian restaurant situated near to Ernakulam junction railway station. It is easy locate. I had chicken biryani here which was tasty. Behaviour of the staff is satisfactory. They only got limited number of seats. They accept mobile payments like Paytm, phone pay and Gpay also. It is a nice place to bring family and friends. They also serves snacks.now a days it is not that much crowded.

Very bad customer service, especially for takeaways. They sometimes forget about our orders and i had to wait for more than half an hour for a small parcel and they also give preference to people they know

My fav near Ernakulam south /Jn railway station, along the main road. Good food, tasty and hygienic.must try when u r for a quick refreshment.

I bought "mughlai chicken biriyani" yesterday, it costs 145 rupees. But the quality of food is worst. Contain small 3 minute chicken pieces and half portion of egg cut into two parts as a decoration! The pack contain pickle for 1 rupees and salad has no curd absolutely cheating service.chicken not cooked properly l spoiled my money. The food packes with plastic round box to foolishing customers, my friend bought biriyani 120 rupees from al jaffna it was much better

Taste was good.
Clean tables and adequate spacing to sit comfortably.
Reduced star rating as some of the staffs were not wearing masks properly.

It's a nice place to have good food.ummi's kitchen is near to ernakulam south railway station. If you are craving for food when you reach this place you can directly go in have biriyani, meals, fish fry and so.
Price is reasonable. Bt I have to say it's little conjusted place.

Over-Priced garbage. Better to find some other restaurant that serves you what you paid for. (some of the reviewers are natives / friends who are simply giving positive reviews because they personally know the restaurant staff, or maybe they just got LUCKY and got average food)

If you plan on buying food from this restaurant, especially egg curry and stuff. JUST DONT. They are preying on customers with the stupid pricing, almost every other standard restaurant sells egg masala or egg curry with 2 eggs at 60rs with enough curry to eat 5-6 porotta.

While these cheap cheating "people", puts the same egg curry at 60rs with 1 egg and half a curry enough to eat maybe 2 dosa. This is simply fooling the customers into thinking that they are gona get a decent deal like every other restaurant, but its nothing but disappointment.

The taste of the food is average at the best, you are lucky if you get an average tasting food.
