Unwind Hotels And Resorts

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Unwind and here's my review, highlighting what I loved about the place and a few areas that could be improved upon.
Let's start with the positives. The location was absolutely fantastic. As soon as you step out of your room, you're greeted by a charming restauran and just a few steps away from the shoreline. I particularly enjoyed spending my evenings in the restaurant, watching light from the nearby lighthouse. Additionally, being a mere 300 meters from the taxi stand made transportation incredibly convenient. The fact that vehicles are not allowed on the road surrounding the place only added to the peaceful atmosphere.
The rooms, they were nice, clean, and had all the basic amenities you would expect. Everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Considering the tariff, location, service, and comfort, it's hard to find a better option in Kovalam.
One highlight of my stay was the incredible massage service. The doctor and therapist were simply amazing, delivering a combination that left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Their expertise truly enhanced my overall experience.
Now, let's discuss a few areas that could be improved upon. Firstly, while the restaurant was awesome, the food could benefit from specializing in a particular cuisine. Currently, the menu feels similar to what you would find in any other restaurant, lacking a unique touch.
Secondly, the staff seemed to be relatively uninformed about the local attractions and sights. Lastly, the amount of soap and shampoo provided in the rooms was just about sufficient. A more generous supply of these toiletries would have made my stay even more ideal.
In conclusion, my overall experience at this place was highly positive. The location, combined with the cleanliness and service, created a memorable stay. The massage service was exceptional, and the staff worked hard to ensure my comfort.

Right in front of beach, have to walk 200 meters to reach the location, taxi can reach till parking only, delicious food, overall nice stay.

Rooms are okay and affordable. They have the crows Nest cafe right on the beach road. Staff was nice.

Crows nest is a great restaurant. Had grilled whole hamour and chips. Fresh and great taste.

Hotel missing basic amenities like fridge, toiletries, electric kettle etc which nowadays every good hotel provides. Need to improve on the complementary breakfast. Overall service and hotel location is good. Just infront of the light house beach.

Average hotel, not a value for money place. The hotel does not have a parking place. Although it's on the main beach near light house. It's not that great. The breakfast is also not upto the mark. The way to reach hotel is quite confusing.

Unwind is located right on the beach, and bang in the middle of the happening part of Kovalam. However, the best part about Unwind is their service - we had a really great experience (thanks to Ashvin and team). Rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly and extremely well behaved. Food is also very good, and you get an excellent view of the sea from their open air restaurant.

I visited 28-31 Dec 2018. It has fantastic sea view location at light house beach, the best place at Kovalam. Rooms are good, staff is very nice and cooperative. Very nice vegetarian restaurant just behind the door of hotel and outside the hotel Grill restaurant for sea food. Morning breakfast is satisfactory only. The have another unit of sea view room at distance of 50 mtr from main hotel. Rooms are very spacious with big balcony facing sea there. You can happily plan your location with this hotel.

Service available all the time throughout the day. They contact the customer early in the morning on the check in day so that customer faces no issues reaching to the hotel. Great location at lighthouse beach. Neat and clean rooms. The manager is very helpful, polite and honest. Rooms are at only ground floor. So very accessible for the aged persons. The restaurant associated with it serves very tasty and fresh food. Loved staying in this resort.

Found the room with a nasty stinking ambience. However the manager was kind enough to acknowledge the issue. The breakfast was another disaster.

Good budget place, near to sea. But food is not great. If you wish to enjoy sea in low budget then this place is good to stay with. Staff is also very polite.

Breakfast is pretty pathetic. We were served bread that had fungus on it and also expired. They did not have any clue of what they were serving. Very disappointed.
