The entrance looks good inside all the plants dry, not maintain well. I don't know what they doing there.waste of money.it should be free entry if nothing is there inside
Entry fee 25 for adult Well maintained garden Good place to visit with children Children's park is there Boating facility is there If u are planning to visit in rainy season Boating is not available at rainy days
25 entry fee but nothing there to see since covid, they just bought today few pots of orchids from a private nursery. Some minor renovation under progress probably worth a visit next year when it may be ready. At this moment not worth a visit even if the entry is free
Pretty Good place With Paved Stone pathway, Beautiful Panoramic Views Of Mountains and varities of flower and trees. Toilet Facility Available And A canteen too. There's a specific Area For Boating Too but at the time we went its not operational. (നല്ല place ആണ് കുട്ടികൾക്കും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടും).
You can roam around within half an hour. Roses, orchids and other plants are seen there. Pedal boating is available there. A small cafeteria with tea, coffee and icecream.
Good place. Some what okay maintenance. The entrance and some part of it is well maintained bit if you walk the trail a bit further it looks neglected. With a little bit more maintenance and effort, it can be a very good place for walking trail and may be excellent place for picnic and I would at least spend an hour here.
A refreshing experience to your eyes. Wide varities of roses, orchids, flowers and many more. Boating is available, but the lake is small. A small childern's play area is also available.
A well maintained place and a must visit when you travel to vagamon. A wide variety of flowers and plants and a nice soft trek for the family. There is a pedal boat ride after walking inside which kids really enjoyed. Good spots for photos and to enjoy the views.
Maintained by Forest Development Corperation. Parking facility not available, can utilise the road side area for parking. Ticket cost for adult is Rs. 25/-. Boating available. Not well organized. Only few varieties of Orchid is available at the small nursery. Some variety of flowering plants are available at the store. Sandal powder, honey, coffee powder, Pepper powder etc are available in the store running inside the amenity centre. Toilet facility available.
Badly maintained government garden. The name “Orchidarium” doesn’t pay any justification. The collection of orchids in this space very very little - most of the vanda orchids either died or disappeared from this space.
Vagamon Orchidarium has more than 3000 varieties of both indoor and outdoor orchids, 200 varieties of roses, and various other plants. Apart from the plants and flowers, this land is a collection of small meadows and a pond with open sitting and relaxing areas. The visitors can purchase Orchid and other flowers, seeds, from Orchidarium. There is an Eco shop from which visitors can buy Cardamom, Coffee, Pepper, Honey, Sandalwood, Sandal oil, Sandal Powder, Red Sandal, and many more.
Timings: 10 AM to 6 PM
Entry: Rs. 25 for Adults, Rs. 15 for Childre, Rs. 25 for Camera, & Rs. 100 for Video
Must visit this beautiful and well maintained orchid plantations. Very good place for relaxation and the lake view was superb. Best place for photography
Good place to visit. Variety of flowers and orchids. Kids will enjoy walk thru the plants and flowers. You can also buy orchids and plants here.snack center is also available.
Entry fee applicable, 25 for adults and 15 for kids
Idea was great, but every weakness of a Govt. Organization persists. A good admin can make wonders here. Let's hope one day, one man will emerge. Orchids are of very old plants, and the prices too high. Good for othe small flowering plants.
Beautiful collection of orchids and other flowers. Saplings are for sale too. Nice place to relax. There is small play area for kids which has slide and swings. Also small cafe is inside the place where you can have coffee or cardamom tea. Best time to visit is evening
Not very enthusiastic place. It's very douzy at times.but forest has its own beauty at times.there is a very small variety of orchids cultivated in a very small green house but the land area this orchidarium covers is very large but once you actually see it only 1/10th of it is only walkable and enjoyable. The rest feels like waste land.
So called a tourist spot. But nothing exciting to visit. Just few 100 meters are maintained. Rest of the area is not at all maintained. Gives a scary jungle look and isolated. To avoid kids and ladies taking interior. Interior has a small pond/ lake that's all. Even the orchid house is poorly maintained. They have an ECO shop inside which sells some eatables I suppose and toilet inside. Entry fees 25 per adult. Two swings and a slide for children to play.
