We were a large group of family with two kids and we absolutely loved our stay here. We were looking for a peaceful getaway for a night and vanilla county delivered and more. The house is gorgeous, brimming with old world charm but with all modern luxuries. I loved the fact that the garden was mainly comprised of native flora. You will be amazed by the numerous butterflies flying all around you. There is a lovely stream near by & though it was rocky, we couldn’t resist taking a dip in it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. And the food…was the icing on the cake. I am originally from Kerala & is no stranger to the food or the setting. Even then, vanilla county impressed me and the rest of the family. Not to mention Coffee the adorable lab who was a constant entertainment for us all. He is very well behaved & will keep away if you prefer that. Vanilla county will serve well for those looking for a peaceful getaway in a natural setting:)

I have no words! The stay was so wholesome! I stayed with my family. We had booked two rooms. We had sucha fabulous time here! The weather was cool. The property is equipped with all the amenities for a perfect stay. The doggie, Coffee was the most adorable! They have a wonderful staff here who makes us feel right at home. We had a very nice stay at Vanila Country Heritage plantation Bungalow with our pet DOG. The food and service is very nice. We enjoyed the walking through plantation in the evening.

The rooms were realy well kept. Service was extraordinary. Food was realy good. The weather and surrounding locations made it a worthy stay.

We had an unforgettable time staying at Vanilla County and will treasure the memory forever. Matthew, Maju and all the staff are phenomenally lovely and will make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The food is so delicious. Really enjoyed walking Coffee the labrador in the morning, visiting the plantation and swimming in the paradise pools.

The place is simply a home. Their hospitality and food were excellent. If you need a calm and serene place for staycation, this is a perfect choice.

A wonderful heritage property. Their library and dining area gave us a different vibe. Their garden area is my favourite. Their hospitality is very much appreciable. For the serenity and for the level of greater hospitality by the hosts, this is one place I would always prefer to return. The stay was absolutely fabulous.

I have been to many places in the world. This is clearly a favorite if you want a calm and pleasant environment close to nature. The staff are absolutely amazing and amazing food so grateful for my nights here where you can enjoy the peacefulness and hospitality. Gets five brilliant stars from me and my family on Vanilla County.

Thoroughly enjoyed the two days of relaxation with my family. Kids had enough to explore and play while my pet dog had a great time running around the lawn. I loved the way they retained their ancestral home with all its traditional furniture, including the chaarukasaira! Their hospitality is really worth talking about. The food was delicious. We had all our meals from there for the entire duration of stay. The lunch with rice, fish curry, and kachiyamore was too good. Relished their cutlets, pazhampori, vadas! Friendly owners and staff, so they make you feel at home. I would surely recommend this home stay to anyone who's looking for a quick getaway or may be a place to write their next novel!

Awesome people, awesome food and an awesome place. The room was clean, nothing short of a five star hotel in terms of cleanliness.the food served was authentic kerala dishes and home made. The hosts are ever-smiling and welcoming. We had a great time staying here and we'll remember that for a long long time.

Vanilla County is truly exceptional place to stay. The property is located within the green hills of Vagamon and one can walk through the countryside from the property. The owners are really attentive to every detail and look after you extremely well. There are plenty of activities nearby including a trip in a jeep to rock pools where one can swim and relax. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided every day and are wonderful. I thoroughly recommend a stay at this property.

I love this place and my stay here. People here are courteous and warm. The host and staff has taken great care of the place. The food was authentic and tasty. Most of the ingredients are grown there, home made jams and peanut butter were served in breakfast. I enjoyed every moment of the stay here and would love to visit again. Special thanks to Maju

After speaking to the hosts, Silu and Mathew, I found out about the historical importance of this homestay. It’s the best place to be if you want to connect with nature, do something adventurous like dive into a natural rock pool, or simply take a hike. Their food is so pure. Everything made from scratch- bread, jams, etc.
We stayed in the mountain view room, and every window gave us a mesmerising view!

I strongly recommend staying here with your family! ️ you will go back with some sweet memories.

Beautiful place, excellent service, great atmosphere, loved the surroundings, ambience, the lovely little water falls, rock streams, sumptuous food. A very homely feeling.

Not worth the hype. We came across this heritage home via Instagram. They advertise rock pool in their Instagram page, and we went there in the hope that it's their own/nearby but they made us pay extra 2000 for the jeep ride as it is far away and somewhat difficult trek for elderly.

We were a group of 5 and booked 2 mountain view rooms. The rooms themselves are mediocre with two single cots that are shaky. All the blankets, bedspread in one of the rooms were used and not washed properly. They charged extra for the 5th person and did not provide extra bed. The food is good but there are not many options.
It's not worth the price or hype especially with so many other places to choose from.

I chose vanilla county for our anniversary getaway.since we were traveling with our son who is 2, I had my concerns.
But the place was just perfect. It was very peaceful, surrounded by green and birds chirping. You could hear the nature around you. Alot of space for kids to run around.
The room we chose (Heritage room) was royal. Very spacious, big bed, very well equipped.
The food. Omg, just amazing. That authentic taste of Home recipes.just yum. Best part, everything is homemade. Even their jams, bread, peanut butter.
I had requested for a candle light dinner for the anniversary day, it was just perfect with whole set up, they even gave us a small piece of cake as compliment, and that meant a lot.

Can't wait to visit again.

Everything about the stay was exceptional and beyond our expectation. Delicious inhouse produces, food, ambience, service, serenity.the list will go on. They have maintained an amazing service standard which I haven't experienced anywhere else. The caretaker Maju and Host Silu is to be specially mentioned for his impeccable service and friendly nature. Can't wait to visit again.

Firstly, the atmosphere is so calm and soothing to be in.awesome hospitality and super awesome food. We booked the garden view room and it was indeed refreshening. Also, one can go for either a walk or have a morning jogg for around 5km all the while enjoying the nature.

The stay at Vanilla County was so memorable. We enjoyed every minute of stay. It was a trip planned by three sisters wanted to have a relaxation from all tensions. Our stay at Vanilla County has helped us to relax, and also to rejuvenate.
The hospitality and the service We got there at Vanilla was extraordinary. The travel arrangements the food the friendly staff readiness to provide whatever we request within no time, everything was special in itself. Mr. Mathew and Mrs. Silu, you are such an ideal couple all that moments we had with you are too good.
The first day both my sisters re-lived their childhood by playing with the ball and the disc. The swing the yoga mat the greenary around was awesome.
I would like to add one point keeping in view my own experience. When the visitors want to take home your homemade jams and other products, please ensure that they pack the items in their baggage safely but not to carry them separately.
Had we known this earlier we would have enjoyed all those food items and spices, which we bought at Vanilla county after reaching our place too.
All my friends and colleagues enquired about the place as they were all thrilled to see the pictures we have taken there.

Nicely done authentic traditional villa with beautiful bedrooms. It feels like home. Special mention to the host Mathew and silu, spoke with them and it’s clear that they have put there heart into running this place. Very helpful employees. The breakfast spread is amazing with there own local delicacies. Defenitely will recommend.

The surroundings of the planation is magnificent, rubber plantation and a lot of greenery. The plantation is offering guide and treks, to fresh water pools in the area. Interesting knowledge for anyone that wants to know about rubber, spices and local plants. The rooms and the food is excellent, really clean and nice views from the windows and balconies. The hosts is really welcoming and service minded. Excellent staff.

We had a great stay at Vanilla County. The owners were very friendly. We enjoyed every meal and all the activities (The rock pool in particular). Staff are friendly and courteous. The rooms are very nice, clean and with all the amenities you need, the place looks really nice and has a small spice plantation nearby. In addition, there is a very nice natural rock pool nearby that you can swim in.

Kids loved the place as well and kept themselves entertained for the entire duration without being glued to a TV. It's really an excellent place top stay and enjoy the traditional food!

Hidden gem near vagamon. It’s a heritage home where you can have a relaxed stay. The owners and the staff are very friendly, and are approachable any time for help. Their home cooked meals are also a treat you cannot miss.

A beautiful bunglow set amidst the verdant landscape of teekoy, it can't get more breathtaking than this! The awesome rockpool with its icy cool waters is a, not to miss experience. This was the first time we travelled with our 8 month old daughter and we are extremely happy that we chose Vanilla County for her very first holiday. She loved not just the place but also the people there. Was like being welcomed to an extended family. The property is well maintained with lush greenery. The rooms are cozy and food is delicious with varieties. There are walking trails and little streams. Everything is taken care meticulously by Manju.

Perfect spot for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, I would say. So calm and peaceful. This place is owned by a lovely couple. Their food and the hospitality is the best, which literally would make you feel at home. The rooms are cozy and clean with a heritage decor. The visit to the rock pool, which is a jeep ride away from the property, was one of a kind experience. And not to mention about Koffi, a cute labrador, who would make a best play partner for the kids. All together we had a wonderful experience at Vanilla County. We do look forward to make a visit again with our family.

Great place. You should always visit the rock pool which is a jeep ride away from the property.
And Delicious food. Do request for Chicken stew in particular. Was a favourite for everyone!

What a place! Bit expensive but the things you can do here and rhe food and the relaxation.i means it's incredible. You have to go here atleast once in your lifetime and if you're a bit rich. Every year ;)

If you want to have a homely feeling, with great hospitality and good food travel to vanila county. The Management and staffs are super friendly. Once you are there you feel that you are blended with nature. The rooms are worth for each and every penny you give.
