Last night when I ate a half chicken fry and 5 cakes, I bought 180 rupees I was told 200 and then I bought 180.130 rupees for 4 L's piss. I will never spend there again in my life.

Now they changed the staffs.and the new bengali staffs dont even listen to customers' order and force us to sit for long

One of the worst restaurant in TVM to have food. Unhygienic costly (a plate of chikkenpirattu with 6 to 7 small bones cost you 200rs) and not so customer friendly. So just avoid this place

As the name indicates this tiny hotel serves everything in banana leaf and menu being mostly traditional. I have a been almost a regular customer for last 2- 3 months. To begin with, the breakfast menu is so authentic and have many options. I have tried dosa iddli ghee roast along with regular chutney and sambar which is very tasty. Some days if we are late we might not get the chutney. Puttu and kadala was one of my rare option and didn't disappoint me.
The lunch option i have chosen was mostly meals, sometimes along with fish fry. Meals alone is not at all disappointing because it had all verities of side dishes. Coconut chammanthi is one of the constant stuff i liked the most. Kappa and 3 or 4 curries were also exceptionally good. Spending 80₹ is worth for such a meal i think. I have also tried fish fries like natholi or chala adding 80 ₹ to the bill which i preferred once in a while. They serve tea and snacks but i never tried the snacks.
Coming to the ambience and customer service many people might not be satisfied because of its space constraints. At some occasions i found the staff is very attentive but sometimes not. There is only one wash basin and most of the time it was clogged up. While looking into overall perspective these incidents could be very sensitive to many but i was able to manage.

True to its name. Small dingy place with just four tables. Authentic mallu food. Naadan (local) taste. Parking in the area may be a problem. Worth visiting. Cheap and tasty food.

Ordered a biriyani and it is really very bad. Two bone pieces with ghee rice. Not even good flavours. Ordered in a very hungry mood and spoiled my lunch time. Never order again.

A very nice place to go for outside food once in a while with family and friends. Fish Curry Meals (നാടൻ സദ്യ), നാടൻ കോഴി പിരട്ട്, Beef Roast (പോത്ത് റോസ്റ്റ്) - A MUST TRY. Price is also reasonable.

Talking about hospitality and food- be it small or a big hotel, restaurants in Trivandrum just rock, After visiting and tasting the food at Vazhayil Restaurant it’s the benchmark for Kerala dishes and I could not stop myself from dropping a review. The ambiance is very well maintained and the staffs are so friendly and well behaved.

Well balanced food with no loaded masala and spices. Options of opting from varieties of fish to BEEF and the squid being on top for me, this is one of the best palaces along with a lot of other places in Trivandrum who does justice to the cuisine of Kerala.
One should try the meals too apart from the mind-boggling biryanis that they serve, whenever they visit this food paradise again.
