I had an amazing weekend getaway at this place! It's truly the best spot for a weekend trip. The variety of activities like boating and horse riding kept me entertained throughout. The food options were fantastic, and the beach added a perfect touch to the whole experience. Highly recommend it for a refreshing weekend!

There shouldn't be any over expectation. It's okay to come with your family and take a bath in the sea

A speed boat is not recommended for kids. Children have small paddle boats and a small artificial lake with lots of artistic sculptures on the banks. There are lots of ice cream parlours. Children's usual park and a toy train with a railway station for both adults and children. Fare 50 and 80. Speed boat and power lounge 1000 for entire or rs. 100 per head. Safety jackets and life guard was there. There is a floating restaurant and a floating bridge.
We went on a rainy day and the backwater became choppy making the floating bridge sway. It was fun

Veli tourist village is a nice place for family entertainment.
The Veli Tourist Village which lies where the Veli Lake meets the Arabian Sea provides for unique boating and picnicking opportunities. Visitors can hire pedal boats or paddleboats as per their convenience. One can also roam the gardens and have a nice picnic or choose to employ the boats for the entire duration of the trip. The view and feel of the place is extremely unique, considering it is merely 12 kms from the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. Children are known to have a lot of fun climbing the sculptures here and the speedboat ride across the waters. A separate Children’s Park and Floating Cafe run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) are added incentives to visit this unique village.

Very well maintained space for a great evening.

The space is very beautifully renovated with modern lighting and amenities. Loved the measures taken to ensure a truly beautiful visiting experience. The train was just very awesome with the newly constructed steel bridge and the crossing lanes and all.
The entrance itself welcomes you to a new experience. Entry fee of 20 seems very low as it helps keep unwanted visitors outside.

There are multiple shops and milma parlours to provide snacks. The Pazhampori from KTDC was just mindblowing.

So happy to see local destinations getting the right care by tourism department and tourfed has done really good in operating the park with all the really helpfull staff.

Since our last visit in 2019 during the Renovation phase to completion, Veli tourist Village has gone through a big improvement. Solar power train, boat rides, pedal boat plus plenty of slides. This is an excellent picnic spot for families with >11 yrs children. Unfortunately for the beach lovers, we cannot access it as it's a non - swimming zone. Most of the beach has gone due to water levels going up. Try and visit before 4 pm.

Fun place to bring your family. There's park for children, boating and a slow mini-train as well. Train being the best attraction, it's difficult to get the tickets for it.

Small tourist Spot is Veli Lake Tourist village at Thiruvananthapuram, Best part is Backwater is going to Sea, and speed boat service in Backwater is very different experience.

It's a must visit. Since it's near to kochuveli, most of the tourists are those who board trains from there. It's a beautiful beach with a beautiful garden. Ticket cost is 20 rupees for each person. Small lakes, restaurants, children's park, games, horse riding are available. There is a small train which takes us through the whole veli. It's not just a beach. Its A must visit n the visit will be memorable.

After renovation it's one of the best places in Tvm for a family outing with kids. The play area could have included some variety play equipment than the outdated ones we all are used to. Akkulam scores better in that aspect.

Before it was a couple paradise but after renewal it's a family friendly park it lost its privacy and have a bunch of staffs for no reason

Mainly it attracts kids with their special old model train and park. The beach is only a walkable distance from the park.
KTDC provides you a boating service which is affordable to all. KTDC also provides you a restaurant (Flotilla) which is floating in the veli Lake and another one is a snack bar.
So, again saying that Veli Tourist village is a good place for an evening spot.

It's a very good place to visit especially during the evening. Nice sea view and boat rides are amazing.
We can also ride in the train which is ofcourse fun.

The place has chenged very much the place is about has lot of changes. Now there is a railway line and a train to go around the tourist village. So many horses to see and ride. Lot of games. Lot of resting places and the bridge across the lake. The beach is relaxing. I like the place a lot. Quiet relaxing area.

It is a great place where a lake submerges with sea. So its got both beach and lake view. A great place to hangout with friends and family. Cheap ticket rate too

If it managed correctly it will be most beautiful spot in trivandrum. The park is very pathetic. But lot of areas to walk around.

Nice beach in Trivandrum but it's on the way to varkala beach you have lot of adventure in this beach. You have park, boating then some event near the beach. You can see lot of beautiful churches when you are going from Trivandrum

The veli tourist village is a estuary between veli lake and a veli sea, here is boating like speed boat (4 person's) normal boat (10 to 15 person's), park for walking, floating restaurant, ktdc restaurant and also children's park. There is a long floating bridge that connects veli tourist village to veli beach.small shops and time pass games run by the local people's.here is also horse riding. Visiting beach during sun set offers exceptional views. There are many sculptures made by kanayi kunjuraman.have Entry fee and parking fee.

Beautiful sculptures. Nice to go for a boat ride. The canteen hardly had any snacks when we were there and the floating restaurant was closed. Lot of plastic waste in the beach water which is just sad to look at.
