The area is not maintained well, always feel bad smells and untidy. Of course it's a fish market but the municipal or panchayat can easily maintain well.

Ugly market. Putrid fish are bieng sold. No inspections from the authorities.

Once it was part of the huge market located at Venjaramood jn. Thousands of people from all over the area assembled here to buy and sell things on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Pivate buses carried different types of agricultural products to different far away towns. Was part of farmers livelihood. Awhite njara tree would have been there hence the name Venjaramood. Me also walked 8 kms carrying agri products on head even in the childhood.
