It's been more than 10 years on this journey with Vijay Dhaba. I started going there during my college days with friends – our go-to group hangout spot. It was a budget-friendly restaurant, serving tasty food within our limited budget. Over the years, they underwent gradual upgrades, transforming from the old traditional dhaba style to today's family restaurant ambiance. It's heartening to see their growth. Even now, they manage to evoke the nostalgic feeling and taste. I miss those old days spent with friends hanging out at the old Vijay Punjabi Dhaba.
On your way from Ernakulam to Trichur Daba come right after the Big Indian oil petrol station on the left side of the road. Get in to service road from front of petrol station. Good and authentic north Indian food. Tasty n reasonable.
I have been going to this place since the past 10 years or more. Back then my college was situated close to it, and today it lies between my work and hometown.
Needless to say that the food here is awesome (or I wouldn't still be heading there). Good, authentic north Indian food at an affordable price. The place isn't fair conditioned, but I haven't ever really felt humid there.
They have wide variety of menu options, and most of the servings are pretty generous so please order appropriately. The last thing you want to do here is parcel the remaining food and place it in your fridge till the day its cleared for the bins.
Staff is friendly, parking is decently available and service is pretty fast too. They do offer take away, but I suggest it's best to have their food while it's hot.
