Vijaya Varma Beach Resort

We stayed for 2 nights and upgraded our room with no problem so we had a very nice view of the ocean. The hotel manager is an absolute gem of a person and has made our stay with his tips much more enjoyable. We will come back again this year!

In whole kerala, I found this one thing very Useful that people provide you 1-2 complimentary bottle of water and then offer you a camper service without any charge for drinking water.
But this changed in Trivendrum/kovalam.
I learned this at this hotel.
Good location and quite comfy rooms, however I felt the manager of his is less friendly.
In my case due to some issues he changed our rooms also, but it seem to me he kept on bitching about me, in front of me to another guy.
And since I do not understand malyalam, I cannot be sure.

We booked an "apartment" with 2 rooms and bathroom and kitchen for a good price.

What an amazing place to stay. I'll rate it in top 3 in Kovalam. Simply amazing ocean view rooms. Haven't seen such a beautiful view ever in my life. Located at Light House beach road, this place is very close to Light house and just walking distance away from Kovalam Beach. This resort offers you private beach which is cherry on top of the cake. We wish we could have stayed more at this place.

Not good, small bathroom, oil stain bed sheet, very poor condition broken tea cup and plates, very bad massage service, slow staff, as per the price room views is good.

Beautiful room with fantastic view of the sea, friendly and helpful staff but room is cleaned only if you ask.

By far one of the best properties in Kovalam! They have the best sea facing rooms, offering a very picturesque view of the beach, the surf and the Vizhinjam port. The view from the rooms is beautiful!

The property has an access to a private beach (shared with three other properties). You can head down to the beach to enjoy the surf and witness some epic sunsets.

Almost every room has a balcony that'll allow you to immerse in the sights and soak in the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks. Just being there is very therapeutic! Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a well maintained property that is vfm and is a great place to unwind.

It's awesome to visit.very relaxing I went with my family. Staffs are very kind. Location is also nice, view to beach is one of it's most special thing to say about that resort. The three resorts including vijayavarma Beach resort are having one private beach. We enjoyed our trip. Nothing bad about the resort everything is neat and clean. Nice atmosphere I liked the resort very much. I was not having a good review about this resort because of the bad reviews but when I visited its not like saying in the reviews. My experience was nice. Nothing is bad the resort is also very secured. You must visit the resort.

Such a breathtaking view and decent rooms. I went there solo, so took a single room. The room was small but was enough. Spend most of my time in the balcony, because it was all that mattered. The sea facing balcony with glass walls and enough privacy was everything that room could offer me.

Its better described as a fairly nice property with fantastic view, but no services like you get in a hotel. The guys Santosh and Adhul are good chaps. Toilets are well provided but maintenance needed. A shared private beach is jewel in the crown.
Climbing down to beach is a task. Hotel is above 70-80 feet from the sea shore.

If you want a fantastic view sitting on balcony, its there.

No basic amenities available.it's very old property.very unprofessional staff but they are helpful what ever they can do with limited resources.only good thing is location nothing else.will not recommend anyone.

It was a wonderful weekend i spent in that resort. I just want to say that the view from the resort to the sea is just awesome aftering seeing so many bad reviews i thought the resort is not at all good but when i visited i find it very wonderful. The view is just awesome it can't be express through words. I went with my family. I didn't felt anything bad about the resort. I found everything good and neat, and the rate is also reasonable no extra charge nothing safe and secured. Everything is perfect. And the reviews are bad but my opinion is don't bother about the reviews. My experience was wonderful.

The view is the only good thing about this place.
Rooms are otherwise rickety. Hospitality seems to be a farcry in almost all of Kovalam and this place is no exception. If Alex is still there on the reception, the amazing view from the rooms might just not be worth it

Pathetic behaviour of the manager. I would have given 0 stars if it was possible. Booked the hotel through booking.com for Rs. 800 and while we are just 3 hours away from the hotel on our way to it, the manager calls up to let me know that I cannot have the room for Rs. 800 but Rs. 2000. This is a cheating from manager's side.

Went with my entire family this year and we loved the stay. It was so calm and the rooms were well maintained and had the best balcony view right towards the gushing sea. We also had our own private beach. The only issue was that there was no restaurant attached. We only received tea and nothing else. Had to buy our meals and snacks from outside. Rest was all pleasing

The manager attitude is worse. I placed an advanced booking even after confirmation from the owner the manager denies and talk rudely. Deny's even giving Room. When I booked the room was 1600 per night but suddenly he tells the charge is 1900 per night. We faced horrible situation.

Very good, clean, and spacious rooms.excellent view of Arabian sea from the room.thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Very good staffs. Overall very good. Ideal for couple and bachelor's. Sea view is fantastic.

Good location. Balcony to focus on beach side which is very attractive. Very nice ambience. Clean room. Nice service.

Liked · Excellent location. Courteous staff and management. Spacious rooms with sea view. The nearby beach is accessible only to the guests staying in the surrounding 3 resorts.

Disliked · There is no parking space. The TVs were not working. There was no WiFi. Food was not available and there was no good restaurants close by.

It is exclusively for foreigners! Because foreigner don't be bother at all for getting looted with expensive price tag. I had ordered 2 cups of tea, which cost me 100 rupees! This is the moment I felt proud of my wife, coz she will make 10 times better than their tea.
